Chapter 6

Have you heard of deja vu? Have you experienced it before? Supposedly deja vu is the feeling that one has lived through the present situation before. But...you can't stop to wonder. What is it really? What are you feeling? What is it that you're looking at? Is it the past? Is it the future? Or is it something more complex? How complex? Will we ever find out? Will we ever....know? Or was it all just a dream?

𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘮 𝘐?

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦?

It was an old-looking house. It looked like it had been left to rot. Why was it in the middle of the woods?

In a flash, I felt a pain in my head that felt worse than anything I had ever felt. I would rather have been shot in the head and not feel any pain.

"Ahhhh! MAKE IT STOP!"

The pain was so bad, but I couldn't take off the feeling that this has happened before.

𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯?

𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯?

𝘞𝘏𝘌𝘕!?

After what felt like years, it had stopped, but it had been so painful I couldn't even stand.

"why?"

"Why?"

"WHY AM I GOING THRU ALL THIS PAIN!?"

In tears and pain, it felt as if everything was going dark. It felt as if the darkness was eating me whole and all I could say was-

"heh"

"Heh"

"HEH!"

"HAHA!"

"I CAN MAKE THIS STOP!"

"YES, I JUST NEED TO DIE!"

"IF I WAS TO DIE, THEN THIS WOULD ALL BE OVER!"

All the pain disappeared and I was able to stand up. I looked around and-

"Huh? Where the house go!?

"I turned around and all there was, was darkness but I tried to get a closer look and-

"Is that some kind of hanging device?

"Guess someones really looking out for me! HAHAHA!"

"WITH THIS ALL MY PAIN WOULD DISAPPEAR! HAHA!"

Most people would have at least thought this through, but I was determined to end this pain.

𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘴𝘶𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳?

𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘦.

𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥, 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘦.

I knew I had no friends or family anymore, but even so, I still had to wonder...

𝘞𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘮𝘦?

𝘞𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘐 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘰𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘳?

"Yea no! Why would anyone remember a failure like me!?"

"hehe."

I slowly walked to my death laughing like a mad man, but it slowly turned from laughter to tears.

I slowly climbed each step until I had reached death.

"Guess this is it."

"It really isn't what I hoped for."

"But if this will cure the pain, then I will do it!"

"I j-j-just-"

"I just h-hoped-"

"I JUST HOPED SOMEONE WOULD HAVE AT LEAST REMEMBERED ME WH-"

Before I could even finish what I was saying the pain had hit me again.

"Ah!"

"PLEASE STOP!"

And with that, all the pieces were in place. I couldn't take it anymore. I just wanted this pain to go away. So without hesitation, I walked to my death.

𝘎𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘵.

𝘐 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘐 𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘥.

𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘸𝘢𝘺.

𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘫𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺 𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴.

𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘪𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦.

"Please don't go."

"You promised."

Right as I was about to hang, I heard those words and they lit a fire in me that hadn't been lit for a long time. But why? Why did I stop? They were mere words?

They might have been mere words I heard in a show or while walking around, but it felt like there was more to this.

I felt happy.

It had been so long, I had even forgotten this feeling. It...felt warm.

I quickly moved away from the rope and slowly backed away, but...

It was too late. The pain had gotten even worse. My whole body slowly stopped working and my legs were the first to stop.

I quickly tried to move them again, but it was too late. I was about to fall right onto my death, and with little time to react, I was falling right onto my death.

𝘞𝘩𝘺!?

𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦!

𝘐𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘵!?

𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘢𝘴-

"All I want is to live!"

*Woosh*

And with those words, everything disappeared.

Everything around me slowly turned into this nice warm white light.

"heh."

"Guess I wasn't destined to die today."

"heh-"

And just like that, I had passed out.
