Back on Earth

After Alex got the information about Captain America's return, he also paid a visit back home to see if Eric Selvig was still there. Alex learnt from Jane that just recently someone from the SHIELD approached Dr Eric Selvig and discussed something. Following that Eric Selvig left with them saying he was going to conduct a research.

Alex understood that the New York war was near. Subsequently he started preparing for the upcoming New York war. In his series of plans it plays a very important role.

First of all, right now he is seriously lacking soul energy points . That's why although he already has Fenrir's gene sample but unfortunately due to lack of soul energy points he can't use it for Jane at all. And this war against the Chitauri army is one of the few places where he can reap a large number of soul energy points without being labelled as the enemy of the world.

Second , after the recent development of their organization Illuminati , they already have a substantial control over the world situation . But they are still essentially an underground organization. This war can help them to come to the surface officially and show their true power to the whole world.

Not to mention that he can also get his hands on a few other things like Captain America's shield , Hulk's gene sample , Tesseract (Space stone) and Loki's scepter ( Mind stone ) .

SHIELD secret research base

Nick Fury, Maria Hill, Phil Coulson and Clint Barton were called to the Joint Dark Energy Mission Facility in the Mojave Desert, where Dr. Selvig was researching on the Tesseract. But the Tesseract has recently begun emitting strange quantities of energy on its own accord, prompting the facility to be evacuated.

" So whats going on here? "

Nick Fury questioned Eric Selvig while looking at the Tesseract flashing continuously.

" I'm not very clear either. Everything was going well until recently when I read a sudden energy surge from the Tesseract four hours ago."

" Well Doctor, what did you do trigger it? "

"I wasn't testing it at that time . In fact I wasn't even in the room. It was simply a spontaneous event . "

Eric Selvig said.

Next Nick Fury asked a few more questions and details of everything that has happened till now. They were still discussing about what to do next. But before any necessary precautions can be made, the readings suddenly start shooting up like crazy and the Tesseract activates, opening a blue coloured portal .

On the other side.

"The Chitauri are growing restless. When are you going to start. "

The other asked while looking at Loki standing leisurely in front of him.

"Let them wait some more. I will lead them into glorious battle soon enough. "

Loki replied .

" Battle? Against the meager might of Earth? Against my mighty army it's only going to be a massacre. "

The other scoffed at Loki.

"Glorious, not lengthy. If your force is as formidable as you claim."

Loki replied back.

"You question us? You question HIM? He, who put the scepter in your hand, who gave you ancient knowledge and new purpose when you were cast out, defeated? Know your place. "

The Other retorted in anger.

However it only made Loki more angry.

" I was a king, the rightful king of Asgard! It's only a matter of time before I regain what was rightfully mine. "

Loki who was still leisurely till now also got angry after hearing the derogatory comments.

"Your ambition is little, born of childish need. We look beyond the Earth to greater worlds the Tesseract will unveil."

The Other said triumphantly 9after getting back at Loki.

" I think you forgot that you still don't have Tesseract yet. I don't mean to threaten you , but until I open the doors, your force is mine to command . So you better obey my words. "

Loki was not one to suffer a loss.

" Hmph, have it your way Asgardian. But if you fail, if the Tesseract is kept from us, there will be no realm, no barren moon, no crevice where he can not find you. You think you know pain? He will make you long for something as sweet as pain. "

He left after saying this. Meanwhile Loki also started to establish a connection with Tesseract to open the portal.

It didn't take long before a small portal opened up in front of him and Loki stepped in it smiling.

Everyone was shocked to see that a person wearing strange clothes and a scepter in his hand stepped out of the portal.

" Everyone get ready to shoot at any time. "

Nick Fury ordered and everyone pointed their weapons at Loki.

" Who are you? And how did you come here? "

Nick Fury asked.

" I am Loki, of Asgard and I am burdened with glorious purpose."

Loki also followed him and answered.

"Loki, brother of Thor."

Selvig said subconsciously.

"We have no quarrel with your people. "

Nick Fury said.

" An ant naturally has no quarrel with a shoe ."

Subsequently Loki mocks their foolishness and naivety before announcing his intentions to conquer Earth.

Next Loki easily steals the Tesseract. He even uses the Scepter, given to him by The Other, to enslave the minds of Selvig, Barton, and several S.H.I.E.L.D. agents present there , aiding him in his escape .

Meanwhile Alex also got this information through Emma as soon as it happened.

" The fun part is coming soon. Don't fail my expectations Loki. "
