While some people will be turned off by the genre, or because they read a few chapters of MTL, I'll just state maybe two major selling points for me which differentiates this novel from the other eastern fantasy novels out there. Firstly, as the title suggests, alchemy plays a major role in this novel. While many novels also have alchemy, the MC's life basically revolves around alchemy here, which is different from how alchemy is normally considered an auxiliary skill. The MC here views it as much more, which he also proves later on in the novel (multiple times). Rather than mindless fighting, I like a novel that touches more on the other aspects. Second, and I feel that this is by far the biggest selling point for me. THE MC IS NOT A HOMICIDAL MANIAC! He doesn't go like: "Hey you, you had a lewd face when looking at my wife no. 69, I'll kill your entire family and revive your ancestors to kill them as revenge. Then, I'll extinguish all karma threads tied to you, killing everyone that even remotely knows you!" AND THE BAD GUYS HERE ARE NORMAL!! They don't go around killing people for some stupid reason. They worry about repercussions from going overboard! These people weren't dropped on their heads as a baby like those arrogant mass murderers who will slaughter entire cities because someone looked at them funny. They are actually people that you can like! To me, it's like a breath of fresh air from those madmen in AST or MGA. Yeah, so, a good story is about delivery rather than the idea anyway. Well I was reading all the review of other people and was kind of bias against this novel deciding I've read enough reincarnation/silk pant/loving parent type story. Then I read the translator's own comment and I've to say it caught my attention. I want villains who have reason to kill, I want MC who's main aspect is not his iron fist(F*cking terrible Netflix show btw). So translator I'll be reading this when it comes out. Don't disappoint me. Thinking of changing username (Suggestions?)

Fairly average novel, nothing really unique or outstanding about it so far. On top of that, I especially dislike the fact that the translators are soliciting 4-5 star reviews in exchange for additional chapters. It just seems dishonest and manipulative, and I don't really feel like supporting that kind of behaviour. Maybe in the future, if the novel starts to diverge from it's cliched and frankly quite boring story; and if the translators stop trying to manipulate the reviews, I will come back and increase my rating, but as it is at the moment I can't really endorse this novel. ** I would like to point out that I have no problem with translators asking people to give powerstones in exchange for extra chapters, as many other translators do so and in the end, if they are able to persuade anyone with this method then it's a testament as to how much people enjoy the story anyway, and is therefore not undeserved.

Everything is so vague and nondescript. The character development, the antogonist, MC's abilities everything. So, it makes it seem long and boring.

This novel is awesome.., but I wont read it. Why? Because nothing translated yet. Maybe one day in the future, but not today. Thats it.

this is junk food xian Xia trash to the limit I'd rather read an encyclopedia since I'd be learning something while getting bored to death not to mention the characters are one dimensional and the mc is unlikable and boring there is next to no plot, the number of badly done cliches are astounding. don't waste your time qidian is filled with these trashy novels the only reason i read this was because i was stupid enough to believe these fake ratings that are everywhere nowadays.

I originally read from the translator that this was supposed to be a better, more interesting novel... What the ****? This mindless, copy-pasted garbage is not worth a spit. The usual main overpowered, all-knowing main protagonist. The usual cast of retarded villans and brain-dead supporting characters. Garbage.

To be honest you may feel like this is me being a bad person and just randomly rating, but this novel is really not that good Its very generic and as general as it could be. if you have read Tales of demons and gods, sovereign of the three realms, dragon-war emperor, (that novel with xiao yun guy and his heavenly fire)or any cultivation novel than dont even bother reading it coz the only difference in this would be, 1. That mc has skillz from prevoius life. 2. Mc can beat opponents above his cultivation stage there is atlesst one page of other people's opinion in a chapter 3. Wow, so many people freaking out in the comments of negative reviews. Water Army much? At least these kind of reactions and reviews seem to be often incurring with QI novels, though the twelve year olds and the like cannot be ruled out I guess. Or is this about the proofreader and translator asking for 5 star reviews as incentive for more releases? Read to the latest chapter (61) out of boredom and daresay that I can predict quite a bit of the story already. Sorry I do not evaluate this story highly either and certainly do not expect any surprises regarding the further development. I rate the translation quality highly but the story gives me quite generic impression. Silkpants reincarnation, revenge plots, previously useless "trash" char now impresses everyone as the mc and keeps face slapping everyone that looks down on him, of course after long build ups and fillers that point out how awesome the mc is that also serve to increase the word count. MC of course has all kind of high level cultivation techniques and the super awesome alchemy emperor knowledge at hand due to his previous life. Sorry, nothing particularly interesting or different imho. Curiously looking forward whether this review will be deleted or what the fanboy/water armies will call me.

I dont really do reviews most of the time but to save people some time and effort of reading this trashy style of writing would be considered good karma. The way the author writes line after REPETITIVE line of information where a useless Side-character would start a sluggish monologue of "blahh" thoughts is basically torture!!!! Writing just to "fill" the pages and reach a number count quota... PATHETIC. i mean sure, it would be fine mentioning how a side character would hate and describing how low he thought the main Mc was... but to keep repeating that damn idea not just for a few sentences... not just a few paragraphs... but a few chapters??! The story progression of a few seconds actually took whole Chapters. It wasnt even an important story arc! If i could rate it lower than 1 star, i would.

Another one novel autor using us to review his work then dumping us with this premium thing. What can i say, it's not nice. Better get it down the ladder so others know not to start reading it. Sorry
