2 A Wish that only remains a wish

As soon as these words reached Ani's ears she ran after them. Hiding behind the pillars she tracked her love's footsteps and reached the principal's office. Without making any noise she stood outside the office door and pushed the door lightly, trying hearing the conversation.

She felt someone's hand on her shoulder so she turned back. "What are you doing here? How is my daughter doing?", asked the president, Kim Dowan, Jun's father with a smile.

"Hello uncle. I'm fine. How are you?", asked Ani with a smile.

"I'm good. How's your dad? You should come to our home too. Btw it's your home also," said the president and laughed.

"Dad is good. I'll tell him then we will come there", muttered Ani. They were having the conversation when Jun came out of the office and greeted his father. He looked at Ani but ignored her presence while Ani smiled looking at him.

"Son, what are you doing here?", asked his father.

"Dad, Principal sir has asked me to pick a student for the upcoming science competition", said Jun.

"Ahh okay. Son, I've asked her to come today in the evening. You will pick her up after the school", said Dowan and then looked at Ani. "See you Ani in the evening," said Dowan.

Ani rolled her eyes in surprise because this was the first time she will go with Jun. Butterflies are dancing in her stomach and she looked at Jun happily.

"But uncle I've not talked with my dad..", mumbled Ani.

"Don't worry. He is my friend too so I'll ask him. Okay I'm going. Bye Ani, will see you in the home", said the president and went inside the office.

Jun ignored her and started walking to the class. Ani happily followed his steps. She came to the class and sat beside Cho.

"What happened?", asked Cho.

"My dream comes true. I will tell you in the recess", said Ani and took her next subject book for the next class

The classes went on. Happiness is visible on the entire face of Ani.

After 4 hours of studies recess started. Ani went with Cho in the canteen. They started eating when Cho asked her about her hidden happiness.

"Cho you will not believe. I met with the uncle Dowan today and he asked me to come to his home", said Ani.

"So what is the thing that makes you this much happy?", asked Cho.

"He asked Jun to pick me up....ye ye yippee", said Ani and opened her arms in happiness.

"Finally you got an opportunity to befriend your so-called love,'' said Cho and chewed the food in her mouth.

"Yippee...", Ani shouted that the students in canteen looked at her. She told Cho that she is going on the class as she has some work from class monitor.

"Your lunch....", said Cho.

"I've eaten already. You should eat", said Ani and walk backwards in happiness without realising that she is going to hit someone.

"Ahhhh....," a shout came.

Ani turned back and saw that she mistakenly hit Myung Hee due to which the food spilled on her clothes. Ani started to clean with her bare hands the food from Myung's clothes when she told her not to touch her.

"I'm sorry...I didn't do it intentionally", said Ani when Myung shouted at her that she ruined her clothes.

Jun and Tae came there and asked Myung if she was fine.

"Look, my dress is ruined....What should I wear now?"said Myung.

"I'm sorry Myung", said Ani with an apologetic look.

Cho stood up and stood beside Ani.

"I've some clothes in my sports locker. I can give....", said Ani when Myung said that she is not a small looking child like her.

"Myung this is not time to measure clothes length. If there is a problem then you can take mine we've almost the same height", said Cho.

"I will never wear the clothes of yours....don't you know my standard", said Myung.

"Myung Hee don't tell me you know everything about standards....", said Ani and held Cho's hand and went from there.

Jun went to his car and took his hood and told Myung to wear that and said that after the class he will purchase her some clothes.

Now there was PE class. So they wore their sports track suits and went to the playground.

Ani loves playing chess so she played chess with her classmates. In the basketball court boys were having the game. All the girls ran to the basketball court to cheer for Jun and Tae.

Ani too went as Cho doesn't know how to play. Ani's heart once again fluttered by the playing moves of Jun. She again lost in him. Suddenly the ball came towards her and hit her hard and she fell on the ground. Tae came to her and asked her if she is alright and helped her to stand up but in her fantasy world she is only imagining Jun and smiling.

"Ani are you alright?", asked Cho...again hit her shoulder and she came out of her thoughts.

"Jun helped me...I told you...that one day my prince charm will look at me", said Ani.

"Who...Jun...you're mistaking here. Tae helped you...Jun not even glanced at you...I'm saying you should give up on him", said Cho.

"My friend....I can't....", said Ani.

"Look at his smile towards his lovely friend Myung....He never looked at you with those eyes", said Cho.

The bell rang and sports class got over. Tae came running to Ani and asked her if she was alright.

"Yeah I'm fine Tae. Thanks for helping me at that time....Btw dad was asking about you..", said Ani.

"I will come home to meet him...Btw sorry from Myung's side. She just said those words in anger to Cho", said Tae.

"Why are you asking for forgiveness from Myung's side? She is at fault...", said Ani.

"Tae come here....", a familiar voice called for Tae.

"Jun coming. Bye girls, sorry Cho once again", said Tae and ran to Jun.

"Ani leave Jun you should look at Tae. He helped you even though he didn't hit you. The one who hit you not even looked at you", said Cho.

"Cho, Jun mistakenly hit me. In his hit too, love appears to me", said Ani with a smile and they went to the class.

After a long day of studying , finally classes got over. Cho and Ani were ready to leave the class when Jun came towards them. Cho saw him coming and told Ani that she is going first as she has some work.

"Listen...", said Jun.

Ani turned to him and unable to look into his eyes she acted to look on her phone and told him to say.

"I'm going with Myung. You have to come yourself to my home...", said Jun and went away.

"What???? Means my wish didn't come true...", thought Ani in her mind and sighed thinking this.
