Chapter 27: Alex

As I found myself on the unfamiliar ground of an unknown location, disoriented and uncertain of my surroundings, a voice called out to me. I turned to see Alex, my fellow Dagger and mentor, rising from the ground beside me.

"Alex?" I exclaimed, a mix of surprise, anger, and a faint relief flooding through me. "How did you..."

Before I could finish my question, she interrupted with a wry smile. "I saw what was happening. I couldn't let you face this unknown threat alone, so I jumped into the teleportation circle with you."

Her actions spoke volumes about her character and determination. She had taken a significant risk to ensure that I wasn't left to face this unfamiliar environment and potential danger on my own.
