1 New Classmate?

5:00 P.M

The clock already showing 5 p.m. Hae Rin ran out of the house and immediately headed to the convenience store, where she works.

"Hello!"

"Oh! You here, Hae Rin" said Young Ji.

"Yes. Sorry I'm late" said Hae Rin.

"It's okay. By the way, today our new stock will arrive. So, as usual, please remove the expired food and replace it with the new one" said Young Ji.

"Okay" Hae Rin goes into the store to change clothes.

10:00 P.M.

"Thank you, uncle," said Hae Rin.

"Welcome. By the way, are you on the night shift?" asked the old man.

"Oh! No, uncle. Maybe until 3 a.m. Why uncle?" asked Hae Rin back.

"It's better if a guy working on the night shift. Are you not going to school tomorrow?" asked the old man.

"It's okay, uncle. You know I want some money, right? I'll do anything to get money for my mum" said Hae Rin.

The old man goes out of the store. Hae Rin going out from the counter and continue doing her work to remove the expired food and replace it with the new one.

Suddenly, the bell rings indicating there is a customer.

"Welcome," said Hae Rin.

After a few seconds, Hae Rin back to the counter. The customer put a bottle of beer on the counter. Hae Rin looks at the customer.

"How old are you?" asked Hae Rin.

"22" replied the customer.

"Please give me your identification card," said Hae Rin.

"I'm sorry. I forget to bring it" replied the customer.

"I'm sorry too because I can't sell this to you" Hae Rin wants to get the beer but the customer holding her hand.

"I will pay you to double," said the customer.

"Okay! Be honest to me. How old are you?" asked Hae Rin.

The customer let go of Hae Rin's hand.

"18" replied the customer.

"Give me your identification card," said Hae Rin.

The customer took his identification card out of his wallet and give it to Hae Rin. Hae Rin takes it and reading the identification card.

"Lee Min Jun? 18 years old"

The customer named Min Jun immediately confiscated his identity card from Hae Rin.

"You are the same age as me," said Hae Rin.

"So, help me"

"I'm sorry. You are a minor. So, I can't sell this to you" said Hae Rin and take the beer.

Min Jun immediately put the money on the counter and confiscate the beer from Hae Rin. After that, Min Jun runs away.

"Hey! Wait!

Hae Rin was shocked and immediately chased him. Suddenly, she stopped.

"If I am not there, who will take care of this store?"

Hae Rin saw that guy was far gone. Hae Rin goes back to the store.

Min Jun slowing down his run while looking back.

Min Jun stopped and resting. He walked to his house. Suddenly, he saw the lady was sitting in front of his house. He approached the lady.

"What are you doing here?" asked Min Jun, rough.

"Min Jun. You here? Have you eaten? If not, let's-"

"I'm asking you. What are you doing here?" asked Min Jun, fierce.

"Min Jun, I'm your mom. Why you do this to me?" asked the lady.

"Mom? Are you just say you are my mother?" asked Min Jun back.

The old lady crying.

"Do you think a mother will leave her child alone?"

"Do you think a mother will let her child go hungry?"

"Do you think a mother does not give love to her child? You dumped me then now you want to collect garbage like me?"

"Why did you just show up now? Why not ten years ago?"

"I don't want to see you crying and look like I'm evil now. So, please go and don't come back. Ever!"

Min Jun went into his house. The door slammed shut. The old lady sobbed.

Min Jun wakeup from his sleep and off the alarm. He looked for his handphone to see the clock.

'7.00 a.m.'

Min Jun immediately got out of bed and took a shower. After done, he took his school uniform from the closet. He saw his appearance in the mirror. His hair was combed neatly. He kept reaching his backpack and out of the room. Just down, he saw the lady is busy preparing food.

"What are you doing here?" asked Min Jun.

The lady immediately looked at her son and smile at him.

"Come! I'm already finished doing your breakfast. Let's eat together" the lady said.

"No! Thank you" Min Jun replied and want goes from there.

Suddenly, the lady holding his hand to stop him from go.

"Please. I'm already finished it" beg the lady.

"Anyway, you just moved to a new school right. It's okay if you come a little late" continued the lady.

Min Jun pulled his hand away from the lady. He looked at the lady.

"Did I told you to do all this?" asked Min Jun.

The lady's eyes showed glaze.

"No, right? Why are you so stubborn? Are you don't hear what I said last night?" asked Min Jun.

"So, I want you to tidy up all this and get out from my house" continued Min Jun.

Min Jun kept going from there. Suddenly, he looked at the lady.

"And I moved here because I don't want you to see me and disturb me like this. So, don't come here again" Min Jun going from there.

The lady starts crying. She looked at the food.

"It's my fault"

She looked at the door and saw her son walk away and never look at her even a little.

Min Jun waited for the bus. Suddenly, he thought about the story of his past.

"Why? Why are you choose to do this? I still can afford our family" asked the old man.

"Are you serious? Do you think you can afford our family? What are you thinking? You never bought me anything. Remember you only work as a driver" replied his wife.

Min Jun who was still young just watched and heard his parents fighting.

"It's because I was chased away by my family and that because I chose you" answered Mr. Lee.

"Now, you want to blame me. Did I ask you to choose between me and your family? You make your choice not me. So, I don't think you can blame me for this" Mrs. Lee, angry.

"But why you choose to work like that? You can work as a waiter, cleaner or clerk. Why that work?" asked Mr. Lee.

"It's because of money. They can pay me as much as I want. And it depends on my profit" replied her.

Mr. Lee shaking his head was a sign of frustration.

"Why? Would you be embarrassed if other people knew about my job?" asked Mrs. Lee.

Mr. Lee was silent.

"Then, let's get divorced"

Min Jun awoke from his chestnut. He looked at a girl which seems to be one school with him because their school badges are the same.

"It's almost 8 o'clock. Do you want to take another bus to school?" asked a girl.

Jae Hyun immediately stood up.

"Thank you," said Min Jun.

Min Jun got on the bus.

"Areum? Do you want to get on or not?" asked the bus driver.

Areum looks like searching for someone.

"Are you looking for Hae Rin?" asked the bus driver.

Areum immediately looked at him.

"Yes. Have you seen her? Has she already gone?" asked Areum.

"Do you think she already goes to school? I think she was late again" replied the bus driver.

Areum tries searching for Hae Rin again.

"Just get on. It's almost 8 o'clock. School is about to begin. All students here are hurry" said the bus driver.

The student affirmed the words of the bus driver. Areum gets on the bus and immediately the door was closed. The bus started moving. Suddenly, a student running to the bus and knocking on the door so that the bus driver opens the door for her. The driver bus stopped the bus and open the door.

"I'm sorry. I'm late again" said Hae Rin.

"Why are you always late?" asked the driver bus and closed the door.

Hae Rin only gives a smile awkwardly and gets inside the bus.

"Hae Rin!"

Hae Rin finds who calls her. She saw Areum and waves to Areum. Areum calls Hae Rin to approached her. Hae Rin tries to go to Areum and the bus stopped abruptly. Hae Rin falls into Min Jun's arms. They are shocked.

"You?"

Min Jun suddenly letting go of Hae Rin caused her to fall.

"Au!"

All passengers just looked at them.

"You hurt me!" said Hae Rin.

Areum tries to approach them and help Hae Rin to stand up.

"Hey! You don't have something to say to me?" asked Hae Rin, angry.

"What?"

"You don't have to apologize to me?" asked Hae Rin.

"Please be careful next time," said Min Jun.

"Hae Rin. Let's go. Just let him" Areum pulling Hae Rin's hand.

They sit together at the back.

"What happens?" asked Areum.

"Done!" replied Areum and laugh happily.

"I didn't finish it yet. Can't I borrow it?" asked Hae Rin with a cute face.

"Just say you want to copy my work" answered Areum.

"Thank you, dude. I love you" said Hae Rin, happily.

"So, you are the new student?"

"Yes, I am" reply Min Jun.

"Wow. You get a good result" said Sir. Kwang.

"Thank you, sir"

Suddenly, Areum came and put several books at the table, Sir. Kwang.

"Sir, here your book"

"Thank you, Areum," said Sir. Kwang.

"Hm, by the way, can you help me?" asked Sir. Kwang.

"What can I help you, sir?" asked Areum.

"Can you take Min Jun to our class? After this, I have to go to a meeting" said Sir. Kwang.

Areum looks at Min Jun.

"Oh! Bus stop guy?"

Min Jun looked at Areum. Areum gives a pretty smile to Min Jun.

"Do you know him?" asked Sir. Kwang.

"No! But I already meet him at a bus stop" replied Areum.

"Oh. I get it. So, can you help me?" asked Sir. Kwang.

"Of course, sir" answered Areum.

"By the way, Areum. He is your competitor start from now" said Sir. Kwang.

Sir. Kwang laughs happily.

"So, Min Jun you can follow Areum to go to your classroom," said Sir. Kwang.

They go to their classroom together.

"By the way, my name is Areum. Kim Areum" said her as an introduction.

"Lee Min Jun" replied Min Jun.

'Where are you from?" asked Areum.

"I'm from Incheon" replied Min Jun.

"Oh. Before this, where are you study?" asked Areum again.

"Incheon Non-Hyeon School" replied Min Jun.

"But why you moved here? I think here and Incheon not really far" said Areum.

"That's my problem" replied Min Jun.

Suddenly, Dae Ho confiscates Areum's book from Hae Rin. Hae Rin was shocked.

"You try copying Areum's work?" asked Dae Ho.

"Give me back!" Hae Rin tries to catch Dae Ho who has already run away from her.

"Hey! Park Dae Ho!"

Hae Rin immediately pulling Dae Ho's hair.

"Hey! You hurt me!" said Dae Ho.

"Give me back, Dae Ho!"

Hae Rin keeps pulling Dae Ho's hair. Suddenly, Areum and Min Jun come into their classroom.

"Attention everyone!"

All students give attention to Areum and see Min Jun.

"Who is he?"

"He is very handsome"

"Oh my god"

"Everyone! He is our new classmate, Lee Min Jun" said Areum.

"What?" Hae Rin pushed Dae Ho's head.

"Hey! You hurt me again"

"Did you just say he is my classmate now?" asked Hae Rin.

"Yes"

Hae Rin and Min Jun looked at each other.

"No way!"
