1 Chptr1 blinding light

Jack was walking home from high school. He would drive but his older sister, Nina, took the Volvo for a shopping spree with her friends. Jack was turning the corner on Maple St. when he heard a weird noise.

"It sounds like one of those laser beam effects" Jack thought with no worry.

BOOM

A huge explosion sounded all throughout the town and lightning came down at the same time. Jack could not believe his eyes. He saw an old man, older than seemed physically possible, pinned against the dirt, spitting up blood. The person

"No" Jack thought in fear "Not a person, a thing, it looks like a shadow, but huge, with glowing red eyes!"

Just at looking at those blood red eyes Jack wanted to curl on the ground and hide, but before he could the old man looked up at him with a sad smile.

"I'm sorry I have to do this to you, but the blood line must live on."

Before Jack could ask what the hell he was talking about and if he was okay, bright, flashing light entered Jacks vision.

"NOOO!" The shadow like monster roared, and lounged for Jack, but before he could reach him Jack blacked out.
