Main Quest

As Ren was leaving, he felt pair of eyes on his back, when he glanced back he noticed Ayanokoji looking at him which prompted him to grin at him.

.

.

Ren met up with Ryuen just as he was requested right after the hearing in one of the karaoke rooms.

"So what do you think?" Ryuen asked him with an amused expression.

"At this point nothing but the suspension is possible, however, our class most likely won't escape some sort of punishment even if we win this case since there are too many loose ends indicating we started it." Ren leaned against the wall with folded arms and closed eyes.

"Do you have any plans in store?" Ryuen asked, unbothered by Ren's words.

"Actually, at this point, I would just let it play naturally. See if Class D has anyone with the capability to completely negate the suspension for Sudo."

"Completely negate the suspension?" Ryuen muttered with a thoughtful expression, seemingly finally taking this seriously.

"Yes, for example by forcing us to withdraw the complaint. I believe it is worth letting Class D do as they want to measure their abilities. Horikita will most likely be the one who solves this, her intelligence was apparent even during the hearing."

"Hm? So you are saying she is the most dangerous in Class D?" Ren's words finally caught Ryuen's interest.

"Well, not so sure" Ren replied with a nonchalant expression but he was sadistically smiling inside.

"What do you mean? Is there someone else?"

"This boy who was with her during the hearing, Ayanokoji is his name. He hasn't said anything in Sudo's defense during the entire hearing but he started tickling Horikita once he noticed she was having a hard time speaking up, as for the reason...it has something to do with the student council president who has the same last name as her. Her eyes kept darting between him and the table."

"What? Just for some tickling, you think it's worth keeping an eye on him?" Ryuen frowned at Ren's ridiculous words.

"Not the act itself however the fact that he hasn't said anything yet started tickling her at the most crucial moment shows that he has been observing the entire hearing. Just take it as friendly advice" Ren explained with a broad smile, making Ryuen feel a bit uncomfortable.

"Friendly advice?"

*thud*

Ryuen's fist hit the wall right next to Ren's head.

"Don't forget your place, you might be more useful than the others but that doesn't mean you can be buddy-buddy with me." Ren calmly met Ryuen's narrowed eyes brimming with hostility.

"Who knows, he might be the most dangerous guy in Class D or he could be just an average student." Ren didn't lose his composure in front of Ryuen's threat.

Ryuen backed away and dropped down on the sofa.

"I will let the guys do as they like, however, you do know that in case they withdraw the complaint, they will still get punished, all because of you, right?" Ryuen grinned sadistically.

"Of course"

"And that's alright with you?" Ryuen questioned with the same grin on his face.

"Naturally, they ought to get punished for failing their task" Ren shrugged his shoulders with a carefree smile.

"Hahaha, fine but you will be present for their punishment!"

"Eager to give me a scare?" Ren asked with a confused expression.

"Don't misunderstand, I can give you a scare any time I want. What I want is for you to see the consequences of your actions. Now leave me alone." Ryuen waved his hand for Ren to leave.

Ren didn't say anything in response and left the karaoke room.

'I wonder how much the storyline is going to change from just this much...it could also be that it won't change at all.' Ren thought as he was walking toward the dorms with his hands in his pockets.

[Main Quest received!!!]

[Expell the main protagonist of this world or publicly cause enough trouble for him]

[Rewards: Permanently strengthened soul, First piece of the Return Stone]

'Eh?' After he read the text in front of him, Ren stopped and started chuckling, causing some of the students passing by to look at him strangely.

'Jeez, give me a break, I am accustomed to solving my problems with force not with my head' Ren stopped laughing and looked up at the orange sky painted by the sunset.

'Wait, what's the Return Stone?' Ren asked the system since it was the first time he saw such a reward.

[Once all pieces are gathered, they will form Return Stone which is capable of returning the soul to the world of its origin]

Ren's heartbeat slightly fastened upon reading it.

'How many pieces are there?'

[Total of 10]

"Tch!" Ren clicked his tongue and resumed walking toward the dorms.

'So at the minimum, I would need to visit 10 more worlds if not more?' It was as if a bucket of cold water got poured on Ren's head.

He was even contemplating whether it was worth it, slaving away for the system's entertainment just in exchange for the hope to return back to his world.
