Chapter 34: New Adventure

Adeu was back in his home, the third circle. He lay on his bed, emotions swirling within him, confusion, fear, and disappointment.

The recent events at the Blessings Ceremony had left him reeling, his thoughts a chaotic whirlwind. Yet, amid the turmoil, one feeling stood out with crystal clarity, refusing to be forgotten.

When he had seen the boy named Dune, chosen by Bethel to be blessed, something within Adeu had resonated deeply. It was an inexplicable connection, a pull that defied logic or understanding.

This bond with the human boy had stirred a profound curiosity within Adeu, one that now consumed him.

The need to know more gnawed at him, driving his thoughts relentlessly toward the human world.

He yearned to uncover the mystery of his connection with Dune, to delve into the unknown and satisfy the burning curiosity that refused to be quelled.

Adeu's desire to venture into the realm of humans grew stronger with each passing moment, an irresistible urge fueled by the mysterious link he felt with Dune.

Suddenly, Adeu heard a knock. Opening the door, he found his friends, Lisa and Echo, standing there. Lisa, with her golden hair, looked as beautiful as always, while Echo wore a serious expression.

They guided Adeu back to his bed, where he sat down. Lisa took a seat on the elegant couch, and Echo stood with his arms crossed. A heavy silence hung in the air for a minute before Echo finally spoke.

"This was not what I expected," he said, frustration evident in his voice. "And it sucks that we won't be able to talk to anyone about this. This whole situation is messed up."

Lisa added, "Talk to someone? Who? There is no one above the true gods. They control most of the world, remember? Our opinions mean nothing."

Adeu sighed deeply, "I hate this. This isn't right. Lowly creatures? When I watched what the white-haired boy, Dune, did... Would I be able to do that? Would I be able to survive?

Would I go that far to save someone I love? I saw many deaths. I saw how most of them died. They were sacrifices, they did it for their comrades, friends and loved ones.

Most of them died without fear. I've never seen anything like that."

Silence fell over them again, each lost in their thoughts, questioning themselves. Would they survive in such circumstances? Would they sacrifice themselves for their loved ones?

Echo sighed and said, "Humans and gods are so different from each other, yet we're still so similar."

Lisa and Adeu looked at him, raising their eyebrows in surprise.

Echo glanced away, a hint of defensiveness in his tone. "What? Can't I say something smart once in a while?"

They chuckled, breaking the tension for a moment.

Adeu gazed out of the large window before him, his eyes reflecting a world beyond his reach. With a heavy sigh, he said, "There has to be a way to walk on Earth.

I'm going to find it and explore that new world. That's all I care about. Let's do this together, guys. In three months, a new opportunity will arise."

Lisa, shocked, interjected, "Do you mean?"

Adeu nodded. "If we keep achieving high scores at the academy, they'll let us go to the Land of the Dead with the expedition team.

That's where we'll find our chance to escape. It won't be easy, but we should try. We're the academy's best students. Even if we get caught, what can the gods do? Torture us? They won't kill prodigies like us.

So, I'm asking you both, will you join me on this adventure? Together, we can find the portal to the human world and embark on new adventures."

Echo laughed heartily. "Hell yeah, I'm in. As I said, I'll be the first one to beat you."

Adeu nodded and then turned to Lisa. "Lisa?"

Lisa sighed deeply. "I want to come, but... I can't just abandon my family and friends here. I'm sorry, Adeu."

Adeu chuckled, standing up and gently patting Lisa on the head. "Hey, come on now, I understand. You don't need to make that sad face."

Lisa blushed, and Echo couldn't help but laugh. "What are you two doing? Should I leave or something?"

Adeu looked away, a slight grin on his face. "Come on, don't make it weird."

Lisa then interjected, "I might not come, but I can give you guys information about the Land of the Dead. Remember, my mom works in the library. I can ask her for the book and give you the information. That way, when you two go, you'll be ready."

The boys looked at her with excited eyes. "That's better," Echo said.

Back on Earth

Dune and the others stood, breathing heavily, exhaustion etched into their faces. Cadogan had already fled, running as fast as he could.

Suddenly, someone appeared before the crew, it was Cel. He chuckled and approached them, his eyes gleaming with amusement.

"Well done, well done... i didn't think you guys would figure out King Aramir's plan. You did better than I expected. I watched the whole fight.

Honestly, it was like a cinema, beautiful. And the way Dune killed Matiane... such a beautiful scene. Didn't you guys feel any regret or guilt ? Monsters, hah."

Dune looked at Cel, his expression unreadable. "What now?"

Cel smiled broadly. "Now? Now we go to the capital, and you guys will live your dream life, wine, food, power, women, anything you want.

Lucky, right? But that's not the important part. I watched the whole fight, so I'll give you guys some tips as we walk. Come on, follow me."

They walked slowly toward the capital, the massive gates looming in the distance. As they walked, Cel began to speak, offering his insights.

"First, the twins. You two are good, but you lack power. You need to learn a new martial art. Leg kicks are cool, but you should use your hands too.Your techniques are too basic; you need more training. We'll work on that.

Next, Ned. Oh boy, Ned, you need to work more. You're still an amateur, but your red Zeten ability is insane, such great damage with low mastery. If you master that power, you'll be able to split mountains and destroy cities with a single strike.

Atlas, you're good, but you need to develop more abilities. Create new ones. Once you learn how to travel into your Neba and Zeten Aura world, it will get easier.

And lastly, Dune. You're the most interesting. I don't know anything about you. You use many different martial arts, but none of them are perfect or complete. It's like you fight with whatever you have.

Your speed and strength are solid, but still weak. That sword is carrying you, and that's bad. I will teach you myself. Are you happy? The strongest man, stronger than every god and creature, will teach you personally. Haha, I would be so happy."

The boys looked at him skeptically. His narcissism was evident, but they couldn't deny the truth in his words. Cel was strong, and his advice made sense.

They continued to walk for a few more hours until they finally reached the enormous 150-meter wall with a giant 50-meter gate.

"Rendely, Capital of the Continent Sanatria beautiful city that's full of shit," Cel opened his arms wide as he announced.

They approached the majestic gates. The city beyond awaited, full of promises and challenges yet to come.
