Chloe

---------In a cafe near the park---------

"Why did you bring me here?" Nadine asked grumpily.

"Two reasons, first I wanted them to be alone. You know how rare it is for Chloe to talk to a guy much less personally introduce herself to one." Ludwig stated as though it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Second reason I wanted us to be alone and you don't ever leave Chloe's side." said Ludwig as he slowly tried to hold Nadine's hand.

Nadine gently smacked Ludwig's hand with her own and furiously said, "I still haven't forgotten how you left me alone just a few hours ago.". She looked as if she was going to bawl her eyes out.

Ludwig calmly said "Calm down, I'll make up for it, okay? I ordered the necklace that you wanted."

"Really? You are the best boyfriend ever!!!" exclaimed Nadine and tightly hugged Ludwig.

Ludwig sighed heavily in his heart, "Ughhh this girl is hopeless."

----The park----

It was a beautiful day and it turned more pleasant for Arthur as he was accompanied by the fairy-like Chloe.

"Umm, beautiful day, isn't it?" Arthur asked while trying to sound as natural as possible.

Even though Arthur had lived a different life previously, he barely got any interaction with a girl, much less being alone with a girl as pretty as Chloe.

Seeing Arthur being so nervous, Chloe giggled and asked, "It really is, but why are you so nervous?"

Hearing Chloe's carefree remark, Arthur couldn't help but be embarrassed. After Chloe noticed his gloomy state, she decided to change the subject, "What element are you expecting to get in tomorrow's evaluation?"

Arthur felt even more lost, "Evaluation? Tomorrow?".

Chloe understood his situation, "Could it be that you don't really know what's happening tomorrow? You do know that we will be learning about elements right?"

Arthur nodded. Chloe continued "So we use the Element Aptitude Stone, and then we get training based on the elements that we have more aptitude with."

Arthur started being comfortable with speaking up, he asked: "So which element are you expecting to get?"

As if she was prepared from birth, Chloe replied "Hopefully [Water], I wouldn't mind any other elements as my secondary."

"[Water]truely suits you well, gentle and hard depending on the situation" Arthur spoke subconsciously. Chloe's face turned red, no one knew whether it was because of anger or embarrassment. Arthur immediately realized his mistake, "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean it to be inappropriate.

An awkward silence stayed in the air for a few breaths of time.

"So we get more than one element?" Arthur tried to diffuse the awkward atmosphere.

"It's not 100% certain. One element is a minority, Two is the most common, and Three is a rare talent. I heard from my father that this city only has 10 such talents in a generation at best. Also getting only 1 element isn't bad at all, it just means you can solely focus on a single element." Chloe replied.
