Unlove You to Save You

Aaron was trained to be the perfect heir of the Kingdom of Telzina. Sharpened to feel nothing since his mother died, he met Lorelei, the only person who made him feel things. The King was not happy to see that the son he worked so hard for to train fell in love with a person from a low background. In order to teach him a lesson, he ordered men to assault Lorelei in front of Aaron, and they eventually killed her. "Your love did this to her" the King whispered in the ears of his stone-cold son, "I told you to kill all of your emotions". The death of his beloved made him realize that what he felt for her was love. He bowed his head down as tears filled his eyes and he stole a sword from one of the guards and bathed them all in their own blood in an instant. The King looked at the carnage that happened at his back as Aaron beheaded him as slow as possible. "Your death will be painless, but I promise to meet you again." Aaron whispered; his face emotionless. The King couldn't do anything to reply as his head fell on the ground. His crown rolled in Aaron's feet. "My love, I will fix this," he said, his voice broke as he turned to look at the cold body of Lorelei. "But this time, you can't love me. I can't promise you that I won't kill anyone you ever marry, but please do not love me in our next life" Aaron embraced her. He activated the green gem necklace that hung from his neck and whispered to it. "I have to go back. You must follow my orders." And then he came back to 20 years ago...

Rigel

The room I woke up on was so luxurious it was adorned with gold. The beddings were pure white, like a cloud, and the foam under me was so warm and fluffy it made me almost want to not get up. But I know I had to.

The first thing I noticed is that my feet did not touch the gray-tiled floor, and that it looked so small. I did not struggle to get down, but nevertheless, it was still a challenge. I went to the bathroom twenty steps away from my bed, and a familiar gold stool was there for me to stand up on.

I faced the mirror, and I stared straight at the kid staring back at me.

I was three again.

My blue eyes aren't finished crying yet. I tried to stop the tears from falling, but they continued to leak from my eyes. My platinum hair was disheveled, making it obvious that I just got out of bed.

I remember everything. I remember how the only person who I wanted to spend the rest of my life with was brutally assaulted and killed as I was drugged and bound in a chair.

I remember it all. I remember how it felt to behead multiple people, including the king.

But most of all, I remember the pain. I still feel it in me, and the tears are the only remaining evidence I have of it.

I removed my sleeping pajamas. The wounds inflicted on me by my own father are gone now.

The spell I cast as i grieved was successful. I successfully went back in time.

"Sir Hurrman, may we please come in?" A person knocked on my door.

I hurriedly came back to my own bed and pretended to be sleepy.

"You may," I said. However, a platinum-haired woman barged in before any other servants came. She ran so fast and she got beside me in almost an instant.

"Happy 3rd birthday my Aaron!" She said as she cupped my face, showing me her happy tears.

She held a tiny blue box with a black ribbon on it. I remember this exact same happening.

When I was three, I got my first puppy. It was small and brown as chocolate, its eyes were big and playful, and its tail was wagging as it stared at me from its box.

In an instant, i felt such deep affection to the dog that I almost cried.

"Name him, Aaron." My mother, who looked at me like I was a precious treasure, said. Her voice was as soft as her touch.

In my past life, I named the puppy Rigel. He grew up nicely, until my father decided to get me to train to become his perfect heir. My mother's untimely death caused him to despair and become the leader no one wanted to have.

He destroyed everything I have--even the person that I loved--and it drove me to insanity, killing him with my bare hands. He was the one who made me kill my emotions, so as i killed him, i stared at him with lifeless eyes.

"Aaron?" My mother asked, worried. I looked at her. Her long, curly platinum hair was as silky as I remembered it to be. Her blue eyes resembled the sky, so vast and so pure. She has an earthly fair skin that reminded me of the Goddess Hera.

She looked as beautiful as the day we lost her. Her smile was so comforting.

In a few months, the brother of my father will plant an assassin in the palace to kill her and my sister in her belly.

Tears started to well my eyes.

"What's wrong Aaron?" She asked.

"I don't... want it." I murmured. It was a lie. I desperately wanted Rigel. But I don't want him to die again because of me.

"You said you wanted dogs," my mother said. "But you didn't even look at him very much."

"I don't want him!" I screamed. I couldn't look at Rigel again because it would make me coddle him and refuse to let go. It will break me again if the King pushes me to kill him again.

My mother caressed my head, making me feel her warmth and love as she sang me her lullaby.

Oh, how I desperately wanted to hear her voice again. I softened my cries so I could hear her voice clearer.

"Why is my precious son crying?" A male voice entered, making me stand up straight and stand in front of my mother to defend her.

It was my father, the King. His blonde hair shinging beautifully as his purple eyes stared at me.

"Stay away," I said, mustering all of the courage I have to stand up against him. My mother was dumbfounded, and my father was almost crying.

"Why, why are you so mad at me, Aaron? Did you have a bad dream?" he asked me, deeply concerned. His actions baffled me, but I rememered something.

[My father was originally kind, but he changed when his brothers killed my mother.]

"Did you not like the present your mom gave you? Should I conquer the flower island and give it to you?" He asked again.

[If that is so, then if I can prevent my mother's death- wait, flower island?]

"You stopped crying, you must want the island so bad. I'll assemble the troops and we're leaving ton-"

"I want the dog, but not the island. Please do not leave the palace, papa." I said between tears. My father was touched at the endearment I used to refer to him

"Okay, I won't leave you two here" he promised and sat beside my mother. He looked at her like he was desperately in love with her.

I understand why he did what he did to me, and why he went berserk when my mother died.

Because he took my love away from me, I did the same as him, only more severe.

"Emilia, darling, do you want to go on a date with me tomorrow?" My father asked, but my mother ignored him and put me in her lap.

"Have you decided on a name?" She asked me, smiling. My father seemed to love being ignored as he smiled wider than before.

"He's Rigel" I said.

"He? I never told you his gender," my mom asked, but I ignored her to hug my best friend.

He looked at me so innocently, but I couldn't help but think the grim destiny that unfolded for him.

But that is going to change now.
