The cat jumped out of the cage and rushed to one end of the room. It started rummaging through things on a small desk there.

John saw it pick up a small chain gently with its mouth. He noticed a tiny name written on the chain, almost like a locket.

'Lucy? Is that the Flerken's name?' John wondered as he saw it swallow the chain. Before John could react, the Flerken disappeared from its place, giving John a look.

'Teleportation?' John was shocked at the sudden disappearance of the cat. This was a unique ability among the Flerkens.

John wondered where Lucy had run off to. He was disappointed that she didn't stay with him.

'I guess I shouldn't always believe whatever is written in novels,' John sighed. He thought about how the protagonists in the novels easily acquired strong, loyal companions after saving them from any predicament.

'Well, at least I completed a part of my mission,' John thought positively. Then, using his Observation Haki, he surveyed the entire laboratory once again to check whether Lucy was present in any of the rooms.

Just as John was about to stop scanning, he sensed Lucy at the entrance of the laboratory. The little cat, which looked too cute with its golden eyes, was mercilessly killing the unconscious soldiers.

'It seems like Lucy has suffered a lot at the hands of these people,' John thought as the cat approached and killed almost everyone in the laboratory.

She finally teleported near the room beside John, where all the researchers were hiding.

John could sense the intense rage radiating from the cat as she approached these people.

It was not John's place to interrupt Lucy's fight, and he had no intention of doing so. The researchers in the room were not exactly good people.

Moreover, John didn't need to interrogate these people because all the information had already been transferred by Jarvis, who had hacked into their servers earlier.

John observed as the cat finally decapitated the last person alive in the laboratory, except for John himself.

After completing the job, Lucy teleported outside of the laboratory and then vanished among the trees.

John, too, decided to leave since his task was finished, and he didn't want to wait for the backup that the mysterious organization, capable of creating a space-related abilities restrictor, would send.

As John made his way through the trees, he couldn't help but feel a mix of relief and concern. The mission was a success, and Lucy seemed to have taken care of herself. However, there were still unanswered questions lingering in his mind.

He reached a safe distance from the laboratory and took a moment to catch his breath. The cool breeze and rustling leaves provided a calming contrast to the chaos he had just witnessed.

As he felt the breeze against his skin, a feeling of unease settled over him. What was this organization he had stumbled upon? And what was their interest in manipulating and restricting abilities like Lucy's? He had to look into the data obtained by Jarvis after he reaches the hotel.

With a heavy sigh, John knew he couldn't let this go. He needed to find out more about the organization, their motives, and how they were able to create an abilities restrictor. He had messed with this mysterious organisation and John didn't believe that he would always be able to hide his identity from this organisation.

Just as John was about to start running again, he sensed a presence nearby.

"Lucy?" John wondered as he detected the cat hidden among the trees, a bit of a distance away from him.

It seemed that Lucy was silently following him but never approached John. Determined to confirm if Lucy was still following, John continued running.

As John ran, Lucy maintained an appropriate distance from him. She stayed hidden, unaware that John was already aware of her presence thanks to his Observation Haki.

Deciding to overlook Lucy for now, as she didn't seem to have any ill intentions, John hurried forward and, after a few minutes, reached the hotel.

Using his Observation Haki, he checked for three spies and discovered that they were still in their room, completely unaware that John had been gone.

John entered his room and sat on the bed. Opening his system panel, he saw a green tick next to the task of rescuing the Flerken.

'One down, one more to go,' John thought as he yawned. It was late night and John wanted to get some rest before he tackled the next task.

He decided to lie down on the bed for a few minutes just to relax his body and mind. As he closed his eyes, he couldn't help but think about Lucy and her presence during his run.

Lucy, the Flerken, had followed him all the way here and was now sitting on the balcony.

He wondered whether she was hungry, so he got up from the bed and went to the kitchen. He grabbed a can of tuna, opened it, and placed it on a plate before walking towards the balcony.

Lucy seemed to have sensed him walking towards her and quickly hid herself.

John just sighed and wondered why she was doing all this. He opened the door to the balcony and placed the plate down. Without doing anything else, he turned back, leaving the door open, and went to lie on his bed.

He sensed Lucy cautiously emerging from her hiding spot and cautiously approaching the plate of tuna. She sniffed it tentatively before taking a small bite. John smiled as he saw her enjoying the meal.

"You're a strange one, Lucy," he muttered to himself. "But I guess we all have our quirks."

As he sat there, the cool breeze of the night washed over him, relaxing his mind and body. The stress of the day slowly melted away, and he found himself lost in thought.
