Chapter XXIX - The God of Orcs (part 4)

"Mother Earth: Stone Spikes!"

Instantly, the ground crumbled as huge sharp stone spikes jumped out from the ground, all the way towards my face.

I quickly tilted my head to dodge the first stone spike that was about to stab my face, but the second spike managed to graze me under the left knee. Seeing how quick the stone spikes were, I jumped backwards to create some distance.

This is a high tier earth magic. Not even Jrake can do earth magic to this extent.

You gotta be shitting me... He got high tier earth magic on top of his sword skills!?

I can still see all of the movements of the stone spikes, but not as good as reading his. I started dodging every single one of the spikes, but suddenly, a small spike grew from the ground next to my leg. I immediately stopped thinking and jumped high as the spike grew even bigger.

He was able to read and control my movements thanks to his stone spikes. When he saw me going up, he immediately sent more spikes focused at me.

Mid air... I couldn't dodge. This gotta hurt---

ZRRIIINGG!!!!!!!

A wall of ice suddenly bursted all the way from my right, where the entrance is at. Hod is standing there by himself, while Valey is nowhere to be seen.

The wall of ice was able to protect me from the giant spikes coming at me in the air, but only to a certain degree before it got completely pierced and destroyed. The stone spikes went through, but not as hard as before. It's still not enough to stop it.

SRESHH!!!!

Some spikes grazed my right leg and my right abdomen a little bit. I kicked the stone spike to move to the ground quicker, and blood spilled on the ground when I landed.

"Kuh..."

I touched the wound on my right abdomen, but it seems like it's not that dangerous. It's just very painful, and my healing magic will close the wound anyway.

"Rize! We'll help you!"

Hod shouted from the door, and I finally realized where Valey is at. She was hiding behind the leftover ice walls that Hod used earlier to block Galar, and she quietly fired all three of her arrows enchanted with green lights. She shot the three towards the back of the God of Orc, and they landed successfully.

"GRAAAHHH!!!!! PUNY HUMANS!!!"

Having his back stabbed by three enchanted arrows, he must've felt pain all over his body. He finally realized the arrows were enchanted with poison, and he quickly pulled them out from his back.

"Playing dirty with poison, is that it!??"

Galar lifted his hands towards Hod and Valey and conjured more giant stone spikes, moving towards their way.

"Tch!!"

I don't even have time to heal my leg.

Very quickly, I lifted my right hand that was no longer holding the sword, and I opened the palms towards the stone spikes coming at Hod and Valey. And at the same time, Hod, too, is also pointing both his opened hands forward.

"Fireball!!"

"Ice Blizzard: Ice Spikes!"

ZRRIIIINNNGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ice spikes and giant stone spikes clashed one after another, and a giant fireball came from the side and destroyed both of them. The massive explosion created a huge smoke screen out of dust and smoke, possibly created by the ice, sand, and fire colliding all together.

The entire room has been covered in dust and smoke... Obviously, I wouldn't miss this chance.

Galar was too confused due to the dust. His eyes were clouded due to the poison Valey injected into his body, but his senses and power is still at an all time high.

"Nice try, humans!!"

Galar looked around and swung all four of his swords at the same time. Smoke was cleared with that single swing, but the moment his vision finally captured something, it was already too late.

A blade was already rushing straight towards his face. Seeing this, Galar quickly tilted his entire body to the right to dodge it, but I already knew that he was good enough to dodge such an attack.

That is why it was a fake.

JREBBBB!!!!!!!!!!!

As the smoke clears inside the boss room, Hod and Valey could still barely see anything. The loud voice of the orc god was heard, but then he immediately went silent. The smoke was cleared by a powerful swing, and the two of them can finally see what is behind the tray of smoke.

The long red hair can be seen waving around crazily. Attached to it is me, covered in healed wounds and wearing messy bloodied adventuring attires.

My left hand is no longer holding the knights sword, because I already threw it away as a method of faking. Galar was caught by the fake, and I was able to swoop into the lower half of his body, and my orcish sword is now stabbing the God of Orcs. Straight through the chest with the green red-ish blade.

Blood drips heavily from the stab, and Galar was far too shocked to realize what exactly happened. He turned his confused gaze to my face, finding the rageful red eyes of a warrior who had defeated him.

"Khhh... Youuu!!!!!!"

He swung his swords blindly at me, but I jumped backwards after pulling the orcish sword from his chest. The hole in his chest spurted an insane amount of blood, and he started coughing blood as well.

Galar kneeled from the pain, and he looked down at the hole stab in his chest as he fell down on his knee, dripping blood out from the opened wound.

Feeling lost, he looked at me with a pained expression. It hit me very hard that until now, I have never killed anyone, but I tried removing that feeling by telling myself that this guy is not a simple 'anyone'.

I could've proceeded to immediately kill him. But, there are other things that I'd like to know.

"Ghahak!!!... Well, this is unfortunate. To the blade forged by my own kind... How pathetic."

Galar said while staring at the wound on his chest, and I lifted the orcish sword to study it. It was indeed the sword from his kind, the orcs. And yet, I used it to kill him, who is the god among all orcs.

And for sure... he really deserves that title. Ruler of all orcs, the God of Orcs.

I walked to him with the orcish sword in my hand, and I stabbed the ground in front of him with the same sword that stabbed him. Then, I just stood right in front of where he was kneeling.

"You... weren't really an orc, are you?"

I asked him while studying his appearance, and he only chuckled lightly at me.

"And how does that matter?"

Yeah... it didn't matter. In the first place, it never mattered as long as he was strong.

I knew from the start that he was too powerful for me. If only he had used magic from the beginning, the fight wouldn't have turned this way. I should've lost, and he let his guard down because he looked down on me.

Knowing that this fight actually won unfairly, I gripped my hand before asking him my first question.

"Tell me. What's a celestial existence like you doing in a dungeon boss room like this?"

He looked up to me after I asked my question, and it doesn't seem like he understood it.

"... What?"

"There is no fucking way an overly powerful god like you would be a dungeon boss. If all Blue ranked dungeon bosses are as powerful as you, this world wouldn't have survived this long. So, tell me.

How are you here? Inside this dungeon?"

He is controlling his breath, trying to regain his life back. But the stab on his chest already reached his heart, so even if you call a healer, he had no chance of surviving.

Even so, it does seem like he wishes to entertain me.

"Heh... You wouldn't get it. An invasion... The humans... They are doomed."

He started talking, but the pain in his chest is probably keeping him from talking straight. I can already tell that he is running out of breath, but I just need to push him a bit further.

"The orcs... will succeed... the other gods... will eat dirt."

"Other gods?? Who are they? And where!?"

It seemed that he actually knew a bunch. I have to get everything out of him. However, it seems like my own actions has harmed me back.

"Hahh... Heheh..."

He laughed. Instead of answering, he laughed. Something tells me that his life is depleting faster, and he can't even answer me even if he tries to.

"You... who can't even... Ugh... control your powers properly... Will only be an ant... to them..."

His powerless hands put down all his swords on the ground, and he is losing life faster than I thought. This is bad, I still have a lot of questions.

About this world. About the gods. About my arrival. Everything.

Don't die!

VWUNGG!!!!

Very quickly, I lifted my hand to summon healing balls. The area above our heads turned bright golden due to the hundreds of Intermediate healing magic balls that I casted, and I directed them all to keep him alive.

However... it is far too late. My own actions have stopped me from obtaining the answers I needed.

"Maybe... If you get stronger... You could become... one of them..."

"Who? The gods??"

Valey and Hod who are watching silently from the sides, even more confused. But they just stood silently.

I immediately walked closer to the dying god, and I lifted him by pulling his long beard up.

"Tell me! About the gods! Is there any god that can transfer between worlds?!?"

He went silent for a moment, pondering what I had said. Then his eyes were opened widely from the realization, and his mouth curled to a smirk.

And very slowly, a laugh came out from his mouth.

"Ha... Haha... Hahahah... Hahahah-"

"Tell Me!!"

"HAHAHahahaha..."

Galar then removed his smile. His life has been completely depleted. He just wasted all his time from laughing, and he already lost too many blood already.

"I see... what's going on... But... you won't be... able to defeat... him... For he is... The most powerful---Ghuhakk-!!!!"

He coughed blood again. He stopped moving. His eyes can no longer see.

"W-What... What do you mean?!"

"If I... were you... I would stay away... Hero..."

He stopped coughing. Plenty of blood came out from his mouth, and I could only watch silently.

"He is... The God of... Death..."

His eyes rolled to the top, while his body fell weak on my hands.

He's... dead.

Season 1 finale will arrive in 2 days, right after chapter 31.
