Madi's P.O.V.

The pounding on the door grew louder as I struggled to keep control of myself. Suddenly, A familiar Face was seen at the door. His messy dark hair was all over the place, and his bright blue eyes looking toward us. My deepening rage made me punch the man and storm off into the woods. The audacity that this man had to just walk out of my life and suddenly be in this stranger's house. He'd abandoned me as a child. My own father. As I walked outrageously through the woods, my fists closed tightly, I heard my father say, "Derek, what was that about?"

Derek's P.O.V

Just as my Uncle said what he said, I started into a deadbolt run to where Madi had run off to. Once I caught up, I grabbed her by the wrist. I was so confused about the interaction. "Why would you do that?" Had she known him or something?

Before I had the time to ask, Madi turned to give me an angered look that softened into a hurtful expression. "I knew him a long time ago. Before my mother died," her tone of voice was expressionless, despite the deep pain in her eyes.

My mind was now consumed with questions, but one popped up more than the others. "How did you know him? What was he to you?" As soon as the words escaped my mouth, instant regret caved its way into my chest. Seeing the look of complete hurt on her face made me want to go back in time to tell myself not to ask any more questions.

After a long silence, she said, "HE'S MY FATHER, OKAY?!"

I was surprised to hear her yell but more surprised to find out that she was my Uncle's daughter. That meant we were cousins. Still holding a firm grip on Madi's wrist, I tried to bring her back to the house to see her father properly this time, but she pulled away harshly and started walking away. The next thing I saw was a gray wolf standing next to me.

Paige's P.O.V

I started to walk towards the school, but just then a thought came to my mind. Why did Madi drag that boy into the woods? Did she know something about what happened? What did she see? What was she hiding from me? I decided that the best idea would be to follow and see where Madi had gone. But how? I wasn't very familiar with these woods and getting lost was very likely. I also didn't feel like ruining my perfect attendance. But I needed to know what was happening, so I sucked it up and started into the woods, letting my gut guide the way. It took a moment before my eyesight adjusted to the darkness of the forest. Standing in the middle of nowhere with the sun blocked by thousands of leaves gave me the creeps, but I kept moving. I had to. When I was walking, all I heard was Madi yell, 'He was my father'. I turned to see the boy with her carrying a shocked expression. What did he know that I didn't? All of a sudden I saw Madi turn into a light grey animal. It looked like a coyote-- no, a wolf. A grey wolf! The wolf-- Madi turned to look at me. A shine of blue eyes were suddenly looking toward me. The wolf's eyes weren't necessarily glowing, but they were as bright as the blue sky. And in a matter of seconds, Madi had run off into the woods.

Derek's P.O.V

I looked towards whoever had just walked over. It was Paige. What was she doing here? Then I noticed her expression. She was pale, too pale. She looked as if a vampire had just drank all of her bloOd, or like she'd just seen a ghost. I ran over to her and grabbed her wrist. She tried pulling away, but I used my super strength to keep a good grip. Dragging her towards my house so I could explain everything, I felt my strength begin to dwindle. Suddenly, my knees were shaking as I fought the urge to fall. I was now inches away from falling; Paige started to fight me, seeing that I was weaker, but I wouldn't let go. I knew she could win, she did last time and I was stronger than her. Just as I let go and was about to hit the ground, Paige grabbed a hold of me like I was a piece of paper and started to walk to my house. The last thing I heard was, "Derek, What the hell happened to you and who is she?" and then, everything went black.
