Rematch

'Chaos Spear!'

I flew at Hisagi from above. Hisagi attempted to block my strikes but I struck him on the shoulder and cut him across the shoulder. He jumped back in order to not get struck again.

"How did you get so strong? You obviously weren't this strong last time!" Hisagi shouted.

I lunged at him and attempted to stab him with my spear which forced him to dodge to the side.

"Was your power sealed before?" He asked.

He grunted again as I forced him back yet again. We had been fighting for a couple minutes now and I had really been pushing Hisagi back. We were no longer fighting on the edge of the cliff and were now in the forest. He has still not used his shikai and I've been beating him easily. I've been saving my strength for when he uses his shikai but it's still not happened.

'Lightning spear!'

I raised my spear into the air and a bolt of lightning extended from my spear. I pointed the spear at Hisagi and a bolt of lightning shot from the spear at Hisagi. Hisagi jumped up to avoid the lightning but he fell into my trap.

'Soul beam!'

I shot a beam out of my palm at Hisagi but since Hisagi was midair he couldn't dodge. The beam sent him flying and he crashed into a tree. He fell down and I start walking toward him slowly. I laughed, this was too easy compared to before. However it was then I heard the words that made me get serious.

"Reap Kazeshini!"

I jumped back and got myself in a battle stance. It's time to get serious. When I saw Hisagi get up holding his chain scythes I prepared myself. I analyzed Hisagi to get a look at his power level.

Wow, exactly 22,000. It's higher then my own but no by too much. Hopefully I can make up the difference this time. I also can still use my soul boost which will add an extra three thousand to my power level. After that I will have to rely on my own strength to carry me through.

Hisagi started to monologue about his shikai and how he fears its power. Honestly, no one cares about the backstory behind your weapon. Just shut up and fight already.

Hisagi threw one of his scythes at me and it spun as it flew toward me. I dodged to the left but it was really fast. I kept moving in order to not get hit by his scythes. For about a minute we playing tag with his scythes but I can tell at this rate I'm going to get hit by one and the moment I get injured I will lose. I'm already a lower power level and I definitely don't need an injury. I'm going to have to use the soul boost.

I took the soul out ready to absorb it but Hisagi threw his scythe forcing me to dodge to the side instead of absorbing the soul.

"Don't think I'll let you do that again after last time!" He shouted.

Damn, I have to absorb the soul or I can't do this. At this rate I will lose. Then I felt a huge pain in the back of my right shoulder. His Scythe! I forgot it was behind me and he pulled it back with his chain! Dammit!

"Are you Afraid?" Hisagi said.

He pulled the chain once more and me along with it. While I was flying toward him he threw his other scythe at me. Shoot! This is going to hurt but I have to escape.

I reached my hand back and pulled the scythe out of my body. It hurt a lot but it was bearable due to my pain reduction skill. I flew away and landed on the ground. Hisagi's scythes flew back to his hands.

"I don't like my shikai. It looks like it's meant to reap lives. However it doesn't have to. Surrender and you will live.You have no chance of victory in your current state." Hisagi said to me.

"I'm sorry but I'm going to have to decline that offer. The fights not over yet!" I replied with a smirk on my face.

I felt my regeneration slowly kicking in on my back. It was slow but it would eventually heal. However I don't have time to spare. However since he gave me a moment of rest I'm going to use it. I took the soul out and thrusted it inside my chest.

When Hisagi saw the soul his eyes widened and he prepared to throw his scythe but it was too late. The soul was already inside me. My power level went up by 3,000 giving me a power level of 19,509. It's still not as high as Hisagi's but it evens the odds a bit.

"Now, the true fight begins." I said as we engaged in combat once more.

The fight continued similar to before however unlike before when I was too busy dodging to strike back this time I got actually attack now. When he would throw his scythe I would shoot a soul beam in return, or maybe one of my spear skills.

The fight continued with us taking shots at each other. However I was still at a disadvantage. My shoulder while healing was still injured and it slowed me down. I was also starting to run out of time for my soul boost. I have to make a move and fast.

Last time I took Hisagi by Surprise with my flight but what can I do now? I have no cards left to play. It's time to get creative. Think, c'mon, what can I do!?!? Any ideas? Wait, I got one. I have no idea whether it will work but I have to give it a shot. I'll also need an opening. It's time to get moving.

I lunged at Hisagi who was surprised at my sudden aggressiveness. He threw his scythe at me and I used my spear to knock it aside. The scythe was powerful and it made my hands go numb for the jarring force behind it. I dashed at Hisagi who had thrown his other scythe and was pulling back the one I knocked aside.

This time I jumped up over the scythe.

'Chaos Spear!'

Bursts of light flew from my rapid thrusts in Hisagi's direction. I wasn't attacking Hisagi though. The light hit the ground around Hisagi causing explosions. This gave me a smoke screen to work with. However to give me a few more moments I used another skill.

'Meteor Thrust!'

I threw my spear at the smoke cloud Hisagi was in. This caused an even bigger explosion forcing Hisagi to really defend himself. I landed with my back to the cloud and turned around. I dashed at the smoke cloud.

I then started my genius idea I had earlier. I attempted to infuse my soul beam into the spear like it does with the skills. I generated a soul beam in my palm but instead of firing it I grabbed my spear with it the way it was. I felt the beam generate at the tip of the weapon. A scythe flew out of the cloud and hit my right in the chest. However I wouldn't let that slow me down. I ignored the pain and continued toward Hisagi. If I wanted to take Hisagi down he needs to get this at point blank range.

The smoke cloud cleared and all Hisagi had time to see was me right in front of him holding my spear with his scythe in my chest. I came up with this skill on the fly and I hope it works.

'Soul Spear!'

I thrusted my spear at his chest just as a soul beam shot out enveloping Hisagi. My eyes widened, just by firing it I could feel the power behind the thing and it was strong.

When the soul beam disappeared there stood Hisagi who collapsed. I raised my spear in the air. Gasping for breath.

"Hah—I—won." I announced to no one. Then I collapsed as well and everything went dark. My last thought was.
