1 Grand Game of Survival

Gray looked around, confused and distressed. "Where the heck am I? How did I end up in a forest? I was just reading a web novel at home," he exclaimed aloud.

The lush green forest stretched out endlessly before him, the leaves rustling in the gentle breeze. Gray couldn't recall how he got here, the memories before waking up a hazy blur.

As he tried to piece together his situation, a sudden loud bell echoed across the sky, startling him. A deep voice boomed out, interrupting his thoughts.

[ Hello everyone, Welcome to Planet of End! I'm Gibru, the representative of all gods in the Universe ], the voice announced.

Gray's ears perked up at the sound of the voice. He couldn't see anyone around, but the voice was loud and clear, as if it was coming from a speaker above him.

[ I know some of you guys are confused, scared, or in a state of panic because you guys are suddenly teleported in a desert, forest, mountain, etc out of nowhere. ]

[ The reason for all of this is because all of the gods in the Universe have decided that all of the beings are very greedy, so why not punish them? ]

[ To do this, the gods have created a survival game where you represent your own planet. It's a survival game where monsters, disasters, other kinds of beings, and even your own kind are your enemies. ]

Gray furrowed his brows in confusion as he tried to make sense of what he was hearing. "Monsters? Beings? Enemies?" he thought to himself.

[ Each one of you will receive a starting empty space lot (1 hectare), a small wooden cabin house, a summoning altar, and an inventory space (25 slots). Your empty space lot will be protected by a barrier in one week so you can build your own foundation first. After one week, monsters and other beings can enter your space. ]

[ Also, each one of you guys will receive a box of unique talent to help you out in this survival game. The talent you will receive will depend on your luck because it is randomized. ]

[ All of the items that I've mentioned can be accessed through the hologram interface. You can activate the interface by saying 'System' in your mind. ]

[ What are the rules of the game? The rules of this game are simple: the top ten last planet representatives standing will continue to live while the rest will perish. You can trick, stick together, kill, etc. The gods don't care. Just survive. ]

[ That's all, good luck to everyone ]

The voice in the sky faded away after bidding everyone good luck.

Gray's voice filled with annoyance, he exclaimed, "What?! A survival game? No way, I'm caught up in this sh*t? I'm cool with reading about this kind of stuff in web novels, but to experience it firsthand? F*ck."

"The gods picked me to be one of the representatives of my planet, and I can't do anything except accept it. This is some bullsh*t," Gray grumbled.

He sighed in resignation, "Alright, alright, fine. I'll play this f*cking game and survive. Happy now, gods?"

Gray activated the hologram interface by thinking of the word "System" in his mind. In front of his eyes, a hologram display appeared.

=====

- Name: Gray Fring

- Age: 18

- Planet: Earth

- Talent: N/A

- Territory: N/A

- Skill: Mental Fortitude

=====

- Inventory

- Chat

Gray looked at the hologram display with blank expression and said, "Just the way I imagined. It's the same as the system interfaces in the web novels that I read."

He then touched the inventory, causing the screen in the hologram display to change.

=====

[ Inventory ] ( 4/25 )

- Empty Space Lot ( 1 hectare ) ( x1 )

- Small Wooden Cabin House ( x1 )

- Talent Box ( Randomized ) ( x1 )

- Summoning Altar Box ( Randomized ) ( x1 )

"They really gave us nothing but what they said, huh? Not even a single supply of food and water. They basically want us to hunt and scavenge for our own survival," Gray grumbled as his eyes were scanning the surrounding forest.

Despite the lack of resources, Gray seemed unfazed. "Use Empty Space Lot," he said, prompting a green grid and notification to appear in front of his eyes.

[ Do you want to claim this territory? ]

Gray nodded. "It seems that the hologram interface can be activated by voice recognition, that's good. Yes, I want to claim this territory."

A few moments later, the trees, bushes, and everything else around Gray began to disappear, leaving him standing in the middle of a vast, empty lot. The lot was roughly the size of two and a half football fields. While Gray was surveying his surroundings, a text notification appeared, prompting him to name his territory.

[ Give a name for your territory ]

"This is a pretty big space lot for just a few buildings. I want to name it 'End Forest City'," he announced.

[ Territory name has been set as 'End Forest City' ]

The notification confirmed that the territory had been named 'End Forest City'. Gray then instructed the system to place the small wooden cabin house in the center of the lot.

As he confirmed the placement of the Small Wooden Cabin House, it materialized in front of him, slowly taking shape and forming into a humble abode.

Gray watched with mild interest as the cabin house took form. However, upon closer inspection, he noticed that the interior of the house was bare, with nothing inside but an empty space.

"It seems that I will be sleeping on the floor tonight, don't I?" Gray said in a mocking voice, his frustration evident in his tone.

After Gray checked the cabin, he pulled up the hologram interface and said, "Open the talent box."

A series of text notifications appeared.

[ Congratulations! You have received the All Seeing Path Talent ]

[ All Seeing Path ] ( Rank: 5-star )

: You can see the hidden evolution paths of your summon beings.

"5-star talent, huh? Is that good? I need more information but from the description, it seems like a pretty useful talent," Gray said, his curiosity piqued.

He then proceeded to open the Summoning Altar Box, receiving another series of notifications.

[ Congratulations! You have received the Goblin Summoning Altar ]

[ Goblin Summoning Altar ] ( Rank: 1-star )

: You can summon 2 goblins lackeys every day.

[ Do you want to place the Goblin Summoning Altar here? ]

Gray's expression turned from one of excitement to one of disappointment as he read the description of the Goblin Summoning Altar. He grumbled to himself, "I take it back, I'm f*cking unlucky. Goblins? The weakest monster in every game."

He shook his head in frustration, feeling like he had been cheated by the gods. Summoning powerful creatures was supposed to be a major advantage in the survival game, but he was stuck with the weakest monsters available.

Despite his initial disappointment in receiving such a weak summoning altar, he realized that it could still be of some use to him. He then proceeded to choose a spot to place the altar.

After some consideration, he decided to place the altar beside the small wooden cabin house, where it would be easily accessible for him to perform the daily summoning.

He carefully tapped on the hologram interface and a green grid appeared on the ground, indicating the space where the altar would be placed. Gray confirmed the location and the altar materialized in front of him.

"Okay, f*cking goblins, you may not be the strongest, but I'll make the most out of what I have," Gray muttered to himself.

After the goblin summoning altar had fully materialized, a text notification appeared before Gray's eyes, prompting him to decide whether to summon the goblins immediately or not.

[ Do you want to summon right now? ]

Without hesitation, Gray replied, "Yes, summon the f*cking goblins." He was annoyed at his luck in receiving one of the weakest monsters he could possibly receive, but he knew that he needed all the help he could get in this survival game.

As he spoke, a green light emanated from the summoning altar and two small creatures appeared before him. They were goblins, about three feet tall, with green skin and pointy ears.

Gray proceeded to approach the two goblins cautiously, trying not to startle them. As he slowly walked towards them, the two goblins cowered and looked at the ground. Gray noticed how frail their bodies were and how their skin seemed to be a sickly green color.

After he reached the two goblins, a notification appeared before him, asking him to choose an evolution path for his summons.
