20 MORE MAPS

It was morning. Clay woke up in the same bed as yesterday... what? You expected me, the narrator, to continue saying 'same'? Tough luck, moving on.

Clay woke up full of energy, as he could basically create a second tier two map today, only if he had sufficient information about another place because frankly, Clay doesn't have any more ideas of what to make a map of, so, he woke up, washed up, and ate before heading out to Jim's Maps, using his tier two map, of course, because who would walk there when you could just teleport there.

Turning into balls of light and rematerializing in front of that familiar store of Jim's Maps, Clay went into the store pondering what map should he make a map of.

'Places that are famous are definitely a must, but I don't know any famous places around the world, hmm, this is troublesome' Clay wondered as the dwarf Jim appeared in his sight. Then, Clay's eyes brightened up.

"Hey, old man, do you have any maps of famous places around the world?" Clay asked the dwarf.

"Oh, any famous places, hrmm, if this old man's memory serves him right, then I believe that Emurb's Keep is what you lookin' for, that place a really famous one for tourists" Jim answered.

"How about a little bigger place, like perhaps a city or a kingdom, or the entire place which Emurb's Keep belongs to?" Clay asked as he felt that making a map of just one area like Emurb's Keep was a waste of materials.

"The city that Emurb's Keep belongs to eh? Well, I only got the Kingdom that Emurb's Keep is a part of, I don't know if that's whatcha lookin' for" Jim furrowed his brows.

"That's great! Where can I see that map?"

"It's over ere', take a look" Jim went to the center of the room where a table filled with maps was covering the entire top of the table itself. Reaching out for a map in the middle of the pile, Jim took out his wide but short arms revealing a scroll that was two meters in length and 1 meter in width.

"Ere' it is, costs 1 Silt, after all, making a relatively accurate map of an entire kingdom is quite burdensome" Jim handed out the map to Clay who was marveling at the sight of the map.

Clay directly paid the full price immediately as he felt that he had no need to bargain anymore.

After dropping the shiny silver coin on the counter Clay used his tier two map and instantaneously turned into light particles in front of the stunned dwarf who was watching this scene.

"What the fu-" Jim could barely mutter to himself before the scene changed.

Clay appeared back in his room at home, looking at the map of the Kingdom of Eris before placing it on his bed.

Clay went out and set up his stand as he knew he now had customers waiting for him daily.

Naomi, who was waiting for Clay to set up his stand approached him doing her daily checkups on her family, and then left.

*Sigh*

'So this is what my life would be like, just selling my maps' Clay couldn't bear living a very monotonous life like this.

'I definitely need to get stronger, speaking of strong, I wonder how strong Josh is now, considering that his system is B class I can tell that he is pretty superhuman already' The scene of the poor horned rabbit exploding was still fresh in Clay's mind, the memory was so gory that he couldn't shrug it off like normal thoughts.

A customer walked up while Clay was still trying to shake off the scene about the rabbit exploding in his head.

"I'd like to use a map of Cantor's Retreat please" The man said.

"Sure, 10 cits" Clay replied as the man paid up, clearly familiar with this process already.

The man then used the map and soon went on his way.

The morning of Clay was spent like this until it was evening.

'I earned quite a big sum, now that word of my teleportation services is spreading around the village my daily income has increased a lot, compared to the people who had used my tier two map yesterday, today had a lot more people using it' Clay thought as he looked at the pouch containing 70 Silts and 50 Cits and smiled.

'I can be considered quite rich already'

Clay then picked up the pouch and used his map to teleport to the shop that sold map-making materials.

Clay got two batches of raw tier 2 map materials before teleporting back to his bedroom.

Clay looked at the map of the Eris kingdom that he had bought earlier this day, remembering all details of the kingdom clearly before beginning to create the second tier 2 map.

'System, create map' Clay commanded the system.

<Detected map creation prompt>

<Checking materials...>

<Success>

<Combining materials...>

<Success>

<Creating map...>

<Success>

<Mapping increased+1>

Clay raised his eyebrows seeing that his mapping stat could increase by making maps, a pleasant surprise that he welcomed immediately.

Soon the bright light faded away showing a map scroll that was rolled up, Clay unfurled the scroll revealing a 2-meter-long and 1-meter-wide scroll that contained a very detailed illustration of the Kingdom of Eris.

'I'm so gonna make a lot of money from this' Clay grinned.

Clay checked the map to see if it was working fine.

|Unnamed Map (Tier 2)|

\A tier 2 map created by Clay Mapa, an amateur mapper, this map can show a first-person view of the Kingdom of Eris and can teleport to any area shown in the map./

Clay nodded seeing that it was working as intended.

Then Clay looked at the other batch of materials for the tier 2 map.

'Hmm, what place should I use for my map' Clay wondered, searching for any remarkable place in his memory, but to no avail.

Without any ideas for what place Clay could use, he could only sigh as he left that problem for tomorrow.

Going to the living room, Clay dropped off the pouch still partially filled with money on the table, before checking up on Josh's house.

Clay went back into his room grabbing a snack before closing his door.

Clay lay on his back on his bed before taking out the first tier 2 map he had created.

Focusing on the area where Cantor's Retreat was on the map before using the map Clay thought of what Josh was doing right now.

There was no sense of boundaries between best friends so Clay thought it was okay to spy on him, at least that was what he had thought, it wasn't really normal for people to spy, even if they were friends.

Soon a screen appeared in his vision, taking a bite out of the bread he had bought yesterday, Clay walked to the house of Josh as the exact position of Josh's house wasn't really that accurate considering it was just one small building, almost the size of just a dot compared to the entire kingdom that was in the map.

Hoping to see something interesting Clay entered the abode, going right through the walls before his vision was of Josh's room.

Instead of seeing Josh, Clay was confused that he was not in his room, checking all over the house Clay was even more confused.

'Where could he be at this time, wait, don't tell me he went outside again!?' Clay immediately changed his view to the spot where Josh met the horned rabbit and sure enough, Josh was there.
