Are you telling us that all of these are mechanical creations? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- So I might have have gone a little ham on this side project (-.-)' between the chapters being by far the shortest of anything I've translated so far, getting some really good results with my newer translation prompt, and getting caught up in wanting to read the story that felt like a great change of pace I ended up taking it pretty far. There are still some things that didn't translate properly -so far its been Final Fantasy stuff in the later portion of the translated chapters but I felt it was a really smooth read that was still fairly accurate to the raw text. I still haven't had much luck at getting the westernized names assigned to characters to remain consistent from chapter to chapter so unfortunately it still isn't where I want my translations to be but I am getting closer and closer. Please enjoy.

Chapter 58: He's Cheating! He's Cheating!

"It looks like that's the newly released 'Frenzied Infiltration: Two Thousand Strikes...'"

Hearing the secretary's muttering, everyone around looked at him speechlessly.

Was this really the time to be focusing on such matters?

Or did you plan to have Southwest Martial Arts University disqualified from the assessment because of the opponent watching some kind of movie?

Liu Weiqi glared at the secretary, then quickly asked the staff responsible for monitoring the assessment.

"Why is the score of the candidate named Zheng Mu skyrocketing so quickly while he's right here? Haven't you received any anomaly alerts?"

"He's obviously cheating!"

However, facing Liu Weiqi, the esteemed personage from Sacred Cloud University, the few monitoring staff members exchanged glances and shook their heads helplessly.

"Principal Liu, please calm down. Monitoring all the candidates' battles and scores is our responsibility, but we're sorry to say that there's no issue with candidate Zheng Mu."

As they spoke, they turned the holographic screen again before Liu Weiqi could say anything else.

In the screen, Zheng Mu's mechanical creations were efficiently killing monsters on the outskirts of the Bone Devouring Desert without any human intervention.

These monsters had no chance of resistance when facing creations like the T-800 or the Licker.

With the control of several technicians, more and more real-time images of Zheng Mu's mechanical creations appeared on the screen.

What made everyone present gasp was the speed at which these mechanical beings moved, which exceeded their understanding.

Each attack seemed to know exactly where the monsters would be, arriving at the fastest speed and instantly killing the monsters with lightning-fast strikes.

Then, without hesitation, they headed in other directions.

"These guys are like predators in the jungle who have mastered everything..."

Someone's murmuring reached everyone's ears, and they all nodded unconsciously.

However, as Liu Weiqi watched Zheng Mu's score climb at an observable rate, about to break 200, his eyes turned cold.

"I still think there's something wrong with Zheng Mu. As you said, how can these mechanical beings know the exact location of the monsters in the desert? Even if we're on the flying cloud boats, we can't achieve the same precision as his mechanical creations."

Hearing this, several technicians furrowed their brows, unable to explain the phenomenon.

However, it was apparent that it wasn't their place to intervene, so they shook their heads.

"Principal Liu, we're sorry, but we can't stop this candidate's score calculation based on your claim without any substantial evidence of cheating. If you have any objections, you can apply for an investigation from higher authorities."

Liu Weiqi was grinding his teeth at this point.

If Zheng Mu were just a little more impressive than other professionals, that would have been fine.

But it wasn't that simple now.

In just two hours, his score was about to break 200.

This speed was catching up with the half-day harvest of an S-class professional.

Thinking of how Sacred Cloud University had heavily promoted their four S-class professionals before the assessment, as if they wanted the whole world to know that they belonged to Sacred Cloud University, Liu Weiqi felt his scalp tingle.

If, after a month, the top performer turned out to be an A-class mechanic from Southwest Martial Arts University who had been actively rejected by Sacred Cloud University...

At this thought, Liu Weiqi felt a wave of chills.

If that were the case, Sacred Cloud University might become the laughingstock of Dragon Country for a whole year.

"Hiss! No, we can't let Zheng Mu continue like this!" Liu Weiqi's brow furrowed, and after a moment of hesitation, he hurriedly walked outside.

Meanwhile, Zheng Mu's remarkable speed in increasing his score caught the attention of the monitoring staff on other Cloud Chasers. Representatives from all top universities immediately demanded explanations from the monitoring staff. However, when they saw the holographic screen showing Zheng Mu's mechanical creations swiftly eliminating the monsters on the outskirts of the Bone Swallowing Desert without any lag, they all grew uneasy.

"Is this kid exaggerating?" they wondered.

At the same time, in the Cloud Chaser where General Qin and his colleagues from Southwest Martial Arts University were, General Qin felt a mix of shock and concern. Previously, Zheng Mu's poor performance in the beginning had infuriated the decisive General Qin. He had been extremely frustrated with Zheng Mu, but now, seeing the skyrocketing scores and rankings on the leaderboard, General Qin grew worried.

He Guang, who was puzzled, didn't understand why the general was unhappy with such an outstanding performance. General Qin noticed He Guang's confusion and sighed.

"Are you wondering why I'm worried when his score is rising so fast? The reason is simple: he's too outstanding and too fast! Even if his growth rate was slower, he would still be in first place."

"With this speed, Zheng Mu could go from last place to first in just one day. How could the other universities save face?" General Qin muttered, watching the impressive performance of Zheng Mu's mechanical creations on the holographic screen.

"Sigh, even at a quarter of this speed, he'd still be securely in first place. Now, those guys will definitely stir up some trouble."

Upon hearing this, He Guang became worried.

"General, we can't really invalidate Zheng Mu's results, can we? He earned those points with his own abilities, and even the monitoring department can't say anything. What use is their opposition?"

Seeing He Guang's indignant expression, General Qin suddenly burst into laughter.

"Hahaha, He Guang, it seems you really have high hopes for Zheng Mu. Look at how anxious you are! I'm just worried that those guys will be jumping around like they've been stepped on, but that doesn't mean we at Southwest Martial Arts University are afraid of them."

At this point, General Qin took a deep breath, his eyes sharpening.

"Over the years, due to some issues within our academy, each new generation of students has become weaker, providing opportunities for the bastards at Sacred Cloud University to run rampant. But this time, I want to see if they have the guts to play dirty when they're in the wrong."

"Damn it, after suffering for so many years, we finally have a chance to vent our frustrations!"

As soon as his words fell, General Qin's adjutant approached.

"General, Sacred Cloud University, in conjunction with North Martial University and seven other top universities, has jointly requested the highest inspection office to revoke Zheng Mu's results..." (to be continued)

Thank you to everyone who showed their support for this book so far.

Unfortunatly this will be the last update for a while as we have reached the cap on free chapters for this story at the moment.

I'm still not sure how much the conversion from USD to Yuan to VIP points will be to get more chapters on the orginal site will be but I will be able to test it out and find out my own at the end of this week when Alipay finally fixes their payment system and I will be able to make chapter purchases directly. As I've stated before on some of the other books, my goal for the rest of this week will probably be to remaster some of the earlier chapters of my other works- primarily Stormwind Mage God and Ninja in Konoha: Starting with the Time Fruit which are my World of Warcraft and Naruto Fanfic translations respectively.

These will be my focus for the near future as 1. SWMG is my bread and butter at the moment where my modest but dedicated patrons support me. and 2. Ninja in Konoha was my very first translation series on here and by far has the largest following of all my work. As such I would like to get back to my roots as it were. If the conversion from USD to Yuan to VIP points isn't too bad then I will probably do a bulk purchase of chapters to add to my patron for advance chapters in addition to working out a sustainable week to week release schedule for this series.

Ok info dump over, have a great week everyone.
