Universal Calamity [BL]

Kai is a wolf shifter, someone who is half human half wolf. He has a tragic past, and is hated amongst his pack. Everything changes for him once he meets a guy named Kayden. He is Kai’s mate, even if Kai doesn’t realize it at first. Will Kayden and Kai still be together after they learn about each other’s pasts? Or will they stay together, and fight for justice? Authors Note: This is my first time writing a book, so it won’t be perfect. I’ll try to update as much as possible. If you don’t like this story then uh, I’m sorry. I tried my best. Warning this is boys love, and has some abuse, and gore in it. I hope you enjoy, and let me know what you think of it. :D (Might be R-18 scenes in the future, I’m not sure yet. Also, the cover art is not mine)

Healing

Kai's POV

Kayden was dragging me out of the bookstore, and he looked deep in thought about something. He was holding my arm, and unknowingly to Kayden, was pressing on my bruises and cuts. It hurt, but I decided not to say anything. I didn't want Kayden thinking I was weaker than he already did. Once we walked down the sidewalk a bit, there was a posh black car that seemed to be sparkling as the light from the sun hit it. We were also heading straight towards said car. 'K-Kayden, where are you taking me?!" I said annoyed. I didn't want to get into some car with Kayden to hell knows where. Even so, he still led me to his car, and shut the door as he got into the driver's seat and started the engine. I was also still upset at him for dragging me away from my job. In my pack, the wolves usually stayed in one big pack house, but me being the weak omega, I was outcasted to live in some run down shack. Not only that, but unlike getting food that was cooked by the other wolves for every meal, I was forced to feed myself without their help. It also didn't help that my pack expected me to pay "rent" for that small shack. The other members of my pack didn't have to pay for staying in the pack house, and they also made my rent prices higher than they should be for that small shack. Hence why I had to have multiple part time jobs just to be able to get by. I was already behind a month of rent, and my pack members were reaching their limit on how long they would wait for me to give them the money. If I didn't pay soon, I would probably be forced to sleep in the forest near the pack grounds. Even if my pack beat me regularly, and made my life a living hell, they didn't want me to leave the pack. They didn't want their punching bag to be gone, so it would be stupid to force me out. It was funny how my only use in the eyes of my pack was to be used and beaten. I really was pathetic. Even if I was forced to live in the awful shack, I didn't mind; I got to stay away from the glares, and evil intentions of my pack.

"We're going to my home." Kayden finally answered me. 'What?! His home?! But why?!' I didn't feel comfortable going to Kayden's home. I lived alone for most of my life, and didn't enjoy the idea of meeting new people or being in a new place; Let alone being in a room that was filled with Kayden's sweet scent. It was driving me crazy just being in close proximity to him, I didn't think I could stand the scent of his whole home smelling of him. "W-why? I thought you were just going to get me some bandages or something and be on your way." "Get you some bandages? No, of course not. My mom's a doctor, so I know a few things about treating injuries. Of course, I don't have the proper equipment on me to examine your injuries so-" "Wait, what?! You mean you're gonna look at my injuries?!" I said slightly panicked. "Yeah, is that a problem?" Kayden asked, confused. 'Of course it's not okay! If he wants to take care of my injuries, that means he's going to see my injuries. Which will lead to more questions, and for him to worry, and see my scars. "N-no, it's fine really, I can take care of my own injuries, thank you for the offer." I said while shaking a bit. "What do you mean Kai? If you can take care of your injuries so well, then why are you going to work in your condition?" Kayden asked, slightly upset. "I... It's complicated Kayden…" I said. I looked away from his accusing gaze, and decided to just stare down at my hands. "Hey, it'll be okay. It can't be that bad right?" Kayden said while trying to cheer me up. 'That's what you say now…' I thought to myself.

Kayden's POV

I glanced back at Kayden occasionally to make sure he was doing okay. He had his head hanging down with his ears pointed down on top of his head. His hair lay hanging a bit down as well, making him look like a sad puppy. 'Why is he so hesitant to let me look at his injuries? Are his injuries really that bad?' I thought while starting to get worried.

After a few minutes of driving, we finally made it back to my house. As I pulled into the driveway, I saw Kai looking in awe as he stared at the nice family home. It had my mom's garden in the front where it had a multitude of flowers and plants. You could also see a bird house near the willow tree to the right of my house. It did have a nice warm feeling to the home, and made it look welcoming. Which for once, I was glad for. I didn't want to scare Kai off anymore than he already was...
