64 Chapter 64

After capturing the warlock, who was, in fact, Iris, the rest of that day had went by rather normally.
During these few days, Talia ended up meeting up with Magnus a few times, helping the man improve his wards, and in return, she was given the spell book of Iris, that Magnus had managed to find. It was a neat little book, with some interesting Necormancy spells, but that was about it. The only other thing of note that she had done, was go back into the prestige dungeon, going from level 19 and 13 respectively, to level 35 and 30.
The rewards she got were pretty decent at that.
For the huntress class she got a new semblance, one that belonged to one of her favorite characters in the series.
[Overactive Imagination - Allows the user to create physical illusions that can be seen by anyone around, as if it was real. The semblance, after training, can also be used to make tangible clones of oneself or others, and can even replicate the abilities and weapons of those these clones copy. These clones can also speak with the voice of the original]
For the assassin class, she ended up getting the knowledge of Altair himself, which further improved her martial arts, and made her a true threat in terms of assassination skills, stealth, and combat in general. Said knowledge was soon put to good use, as she went around New York, gutting all sorts of downworlders that were less than good, and even some humans as well. All of which, had added to her age absorbed, strengthening her more and more, causing her status to get even better than before.

She had even sucked the blood of a couple of downworlders, giving her increased compulsion strength, which didn't really do much for her. While she also sucked the blood of a werewolf, getting their poisonous bite, due to it being an alpha werewolf at that. Safe to say, that was a rather decent reward to get.
The last thing of note that had happened during that time, was a rather enjoyable date with Hope, which ended with some snuggle sex, and a peeper watching them once again. The two had also decided to take a break from the Shadowhunter bullshit, and ended up traveling for a week or so. They had visited Rome, Japan, Paris, and a couple of other cities during this time.
Talia knew that by now, Valentine was probably in Clave custody, and the Soul Sword was probably yoinked by Jonathan, Clary's actual brother, and someone who was very much alive. While Jace was not her actual brother, and that was just a lie by Valentine, with Jace being the one who had awoken the Soul sword, which had the ability to slaughter all the downworlders. Clary would have used some rune to stop this, and stopped Valentine from killing all the downworlders.
Why did Talia not take part? Simple, the girl wanted this to happen. There was certain parts of canon she wanted to remain inline with it, so that she could get what she wanted, which was the wish from that angel, that would happen after the three mortal instruments were brought together (the Mortal cup, soul sword, and mortal mirror) and the mortal cup and soul sword were dipped into the mortal mirror, which was actually a lake.
She wasn't sure what the limits on the angel was, but there was a very specific, and helpful wish she wanted. That would be a great boon to both her, and Hope, plus Clary and Isabelle if she was with them by then.
Currently Hope and Talia were walking into the institute, after having finally returned to New York after a week or so of break. Walking in, they blinked at the sight of a rather small crowd in the corner, near the elevators.
"Isn't fear an emotion?" Clary asked, as she was arguing with an older woman. "Because that's all this is. Tracking people because of the kind of blood they have. Locking them up without recourse? Is that what the Clave stands for?" Clary continued, slight anger in her tone as she talked with the older woman, who was seemingly of a high position within the Clave.
"Your idealism is charming. But when they wheel in the next dead Shadowhunter with their runes carved out, what will you tell their family? What will your ideals have done for any of them?" The older woman replied.
"What the hell did we miss? And if you really want to confirm it, I can just use a truth spell or better yet, a tracking spell" Talia said, as she walked to the group.
"Talia your back! It's been a week!" Clary said, as she noticed the girl. She was happy to see the "warlock" after the short time away, knowing that she could help them, even more so than Magnus would be able to.
"And who are you?" The older woman asked, turning to her and Hope.
"Talia Morningstar, and this is Hope Mikaelson" Talia said, while motioning towards Hope when introducing her.
"You're the warlock that could supposedly have found Valentine, correct?"
"Yes, why?" Talia asked, already not liking the older woman.
"I do hope you are not the one who has caused this, as you have been an asset to the Clave" The woman said, before turning to Jace and softly speaking in his ear, before walking off.
Talia blinked at this, before bluntly speaking.
"What a bitch"

Sorry about the quality, but I sorta realized that Shadowhunters is..a pain in the ass to write, so I decided to do a timeskip past the events that Talia wouldn't really change or do anything about, as she wants canon to remain slightly, so that she can get the wish from Raizel.
Talia and Isabelle should be together within a few chapters, with Clary coming in 10 chapters or so. With the Shadowhunter world in general being completed within probably 15-20 chapters at max. Next world will be something a bit easier to write…hopefully.
Next chapter may or may not be longer, I don't really know to be honest.
