27 Chapter 27

[Location: Salvatore Boarding School] [3rd POV]

A little over an hour had passed since the assembly had ended, and currently Talia was relaxing in her dorm room. She had not interest in running for the council, and she already had most of her classes over and done with, so now she could relax as much as she wants to. Talia was cut off from her relaxation, when the door swung open, and an irate Hope walked in.

Noticing the look on Hope's face, Talia hesitantly asked "...Are you okay?" Hope hearing the question, instantly shook her head and replied "No! Alaric is making me do some stupid tests on Landon to see whether or not he is supernatural!"

Hearing the anger in her girlfriends voice, Talia got up and placed a hand on Hope's shoulder, with a calming look on her face. Hope seeing this, slowly breathed in "Sorry, it's just I'm so irritated right now! I told Alaric multiple times that I don't like Landon and the way he looks at me, and what does he do? Makes me do some stupid test on him!"

"Well, I could kill him if you want" Talia said, completely serious. She wasn't at all against the idea of killing Landon, and if Hope gave the word, she would do it with no hesitation whatsoever. Hope, realizing that her girlfriend was serious, shook her head "No, you'll get in trouble with Alaric if you did that, and I can't lose you"

Hearing her reply, Talia pouted slightly causing Hope to giggle and give her a peck on the lips. "But~ you can help me do the test on him" Talai groaned dramatically at the idea, before noticing Hope's newest weapon against her...the puppy eyes.

Sighing in defeat, Talia replied "Fine, but I won't enjoy this"

Hope grinned victoriously "We just have to do a blood test and that's it" After finishing that, Hope grabbed Talia's hand and began to drag her to where they needed to go. Talia rolled her eyes slightly, but followed with a slight smile nonetheless.

Walking into the headmasters office, Talia looked at the needle and test tubes for the blood. The test itself was pretty simple, and just involved using his blood to trace his ancestry, and that is it. Hearing the door open, the two of them looked and saw Landon standing there.

"What are you doing here?" Landon asked confused, as he knew he was supposed to be tested, but not by Talia and Hope, two people who didn't exactly like him.

"Dr. Saltzman wanted us to administer your test, which is some weird mystical blood anaylsis" Hope replied, wanting to be anywhere but here, and showed that on her face.

"No" Landon instantly said in refusal of Hope being the one doing the tests.

"Excuse me?" Hope replied.

"No. That test determines whether or not I get to stay in the school, right?" Hope nodded at this, which caused Landon to continue "There is no way I'm putting my future in your hands; you're biased"

"We're not biased. Besides, none of us have a choice. Believe me, this is not how we would choose to spend our morning, either" Hope replied, wanting to get this done already, but Landon was making that hard.

"See? Biased" Landon said, beginning to walk off.

"Don't you want any answers on who or what you are? Stop being such a pussy and do the damn test" Talia said, causing Landon to turn and pause. He frowned at the word choice, but admitted that she was right that he wanted to know what he was, or who he was.

"Alright, all we need is some of your blood and that is literally it" Hope said, grabbing the needle. Looking at it, Landon sat down and winced as the needle went into his arm, and took blood.

Talia watched on the side as Hope put the blood into a test tube, and then casted some spell that was meant to find out his ancestry. Hope blinked at the results, before turning to Landon and bluntly said "You have no supernatural blood in your veins, now, if you'll excuse us, we'll be somewhere else, where you aren't"

Before Landon could utter a word, Talia got up and walked out alongside Hope, leaving a very confused, and angry Landon behind them. Neither wanted to stay any longer than needed, and while Hope was tempted to make him to useless tests to find out if he is supernatural, she decided on just getting it over with now. Talia was inwardly thankful for this, as she also didn't want to stay near the mophead any longer than needed.

Walking back into their dorm room, the two layed next to one another, happy that that whole interaction was done and overwith. "So...kitchen nightmares?" Talia asked Hope, who instantly perked up and nodded.

[A few hours later]

A few hours had passed with the two relaxing in their room, neither of them had anything to do that day, so, they decided on binge watching the last two seasons of Kitchen nightmares. Their binge watch was interrupted, when Emma opened their door and walked in.

"How did it go?" Emma asked, while noticing the closeness between Hope and Talia, causing her to smile slightly.

"Not a drop of magic in his blood" Talia replied.

"Hmm. Most humans have some trace of magical blood in their veins from a far-flung ancestor" Emma said, slightly surprised with the result.

"So what does that mean?" Hope asked as she sat up slightly.

"We need to learn more about Landons past" Emma said, before continuing "Perhaps you can use the truth sphere to learn more about him?"

"Um...yeah no. No offense Emma, but that guy is incredibly creepy, not to mention rude. I've caught him staring at Hope in inappropriate ways a multitude of times. So, please find someone else to do the test" Talai replied instantly. Emma hearing this, looked surprised before replying.

"You should have just said so. I'll do the tests myself" Emma replied, causing the two of them to thank her, before she walked out again.

Laying back down, the two continued to cuddle for hours more until Hope couldn't help but ask "Who do you think is going to be apart of the council?"

"Hmm, I'm assuming it'll be Rafael, Kaleb, and knowing my luck, me" Talia replied. Hope smiled slightly at her girlfriends expression, before looking at the time "I guess we should go and see the results, shouldn't we?"

Hearing this Talia sighed, before nodding, and following Hope to where the winners would be announced. Sitting next to Hope, Talia listened as Emma began to speak "All right. Voting is now closed" At this, everyone clapped and applauded, before Emnma continued.

"Let's get started" After saying this, a paper flew out of the ornate ballet box.

"The werewolf representative will be...Rafael" Emma said, causing the applause, and the werewolves to mimic barking.

Talia looked at Hope, giving her a look of 'I told you so' Hope just rolled her eyes with a fond smile.

"All right, settle down" Emma said, causing the students to get quiet. "Thank you. Next up...."

Once again a paper flew out of the voting ballet box "The vampire representative will be...Kaleb" MG, who had stood up with a smile, preparing for his win, stopped smiling as a defeated look crossed his face, before he sat back down, while the vampires cheered around him.

"All right, guys. Settle down!" Emma yelled out, causing the Vampires to slowly quieten "Thank you"

For the final time, a paper flew out of the ballet box, while Lizzie was preparing herself for what she believed to be her victory "And the witch representative will be...Talia" Emma smiled at the result, while Witch students cheered louder than any of the others.

Talia groaned at the result, while Hope had a huge grin on her face. Lizzie looked like she was about to cry, Josie looked surprised, but no one was more surprised than Penelope who had a wide eyed look on her face. She was trying to make Josie win, only for Talia to come in and take it.

As the witches quietened down, Emma continued "Thank you all for voting. And congratulations to our newly selected representatives"

Hearing this, the students slowly began to make their ways out of the area. Yet again going back into their dorm, Talia turned to Hope with a suspicious look on her face "You had something to do with this, didn't you?"

"Hmm, maybe~" Hope said with a grin on her face.

[Even more hours later]

Hours had passed once again, with nothing of real importance happening. Landon had gotten attacked by a butthurt Jed, but neither Hope or Talia gave a damn. Hope had also talked with Alaric during this time, and had managed to get herself into the council due to her being a tribrid.

Opening the council room, Hope spoke "Sorry we're late" Before she sat down, with Talia sitting next to her.

"Hold up. Who voted for her?" Kaleb asked, noticing that Hope was there, when there was never a vote for her in the first place.

"I ran unopposed" Hope replied, causing Kaleb to roll his eyes.

Casting a spell, Emma floated the law scale up to an appropriate height.

Grabbing a small voting rock, with the Salvatore S on it, Emma began to speak "We're here to discuss if Landon should be allowed to stay at the school. My vote, on behalf of the lower school, is to err on the side of inclusion. We exist to help kids like him" Emma said, before dropping her vote onto the side that would keep Landon in the school.

"Which is what I'm going to go and do now. I have a search party out looking for Jed. As you've all seen, violence leads to more violence. If you'll excuse me" Emma said before walking out of the room.

Seeing as she had left, Kaleb began "All right, who wants to start?"

Glancing at eachother, Hope and Talia both put their votes against Landon staying. "He's got to go" Talia said simply.

Causing Kaleb to nod in agreeance "Humans refuse to make a place for us in their world. We start letting them in, it's only a matter of time before they take this place from us, too."

"Landon goes" Kaleb added.

Hearing this, and realizing that there was no way of Landon winning, Rafael snarled and got up, throwing his chair back at the same time. Seeing this, Kaleb got up as well, staring Rafael down in case he tried to do anything.

Chuckling, Rafael spoke "You know what, I'm done with all of y'all!" Rafael said before slamming the sliding doors open, and walking off in anger.

Noticing his little temper tantrum, Talia rolled her eyes and spoke.

"Good riddance"

That's the end of this chapter. It was slightly shorter than the last one, but still decently big. Next chapter will probably be shorter, and we are getting closer to when canon gets truly and utterly fucked!
