Chapter 2

I was surrounded by darkness, no matter how much I tried to look nothing came to view.

"Hello?" I asked when I felt like someone was watching me. I heard Luc's voice and so since I was shooting in the dark I relied on my instincts. I dashed towards my mate's voice but no matter how much I ran I could I was getting nowhere.

I was just at the verge of giving up when I saw a white sprite, she seemed like she was trying to communicate with me as she swayed franticly from right to left she then flew the opposite direction where I was headed. I followed her then for what seemed like an eternity there stood, a few inches away from me a white door that seemed to illuminate the darkness.

Compelled I went towards the door and pushed it open, the sprite was watching me with curiosity as I contemplated whether or not I should go in. the same feeling of being watch crept, I looked behind me and saw a pair of blue eyes watching me with curiosity. The eyes held mischief and authority but something about them seemed familiar.

As I walked through the door, a white bright light flashed through and I immediately opened my eyes. I looked around and realized that I was in my room, laying on my bed. I got up and sighed, it was just a dream.

I got off and went towards my closet and changed into my black skinny jean and white star wars t-shirt. It was a gift from Emily, she knew how much I loved star wars so the first chance she got she bought me this t-shirt. I quickly put my hair into a ponytail, then I quickly wore my black convers. Some of the ladies in this Manor hated my sense of fashion, especially the snarky vampires. They told me more than once to wear a dress or a skirt and a nice shirt but I told them to shove their opinions up their butts.

I am not a leech so I wasn't planning on dressing like one. This was their world, in my world I wear whatever the hell I wanted. Not even Luc's glares can change that.

I quickly went to the Library, it had the answers I was searching for. As the library door came to view, a shiver ran down my spine and I slowed down my pace. Usually when I get shivers like that it meant that my tormenter was nearby.

I don't know why but ever since I woke up I feel extremely confident and I am no longer afraid of a particular vampire. I pushed through the door and like I suspected Luc was in there with his entourage. They all looked at me with glares but Luc had no expression, I couldn't care less.

I ignored their stares and went about my business I didn't even bother to close the door behind me. I went from shelf to shelf, book to book but I couldn't find anything on sprites.

"Just my luck." I mumbled with aggravation. I stood there looking at particularly nothing. Since the vampires were not in my view I was free to space out. Now that I think about it, something seems familiar about those blue eye and I wonder what.

"You seem better than I anticipated," someone said from behind me, I didn't even look to know who it was.

"Get lost Chris, I am in no mood for your bull today." I said as I touched a book.

"Wow, I've never heard you talk like that before." He said surprised by my outburst.

"You'll be surprised what grief can do to a person."

"And here I thought that you'd be in your room moping around like a ragged doll." He said with a bit of amusement.

I looked at him and glared, "do me a favor and get lost. I am trying to look for something." I said as I set my gaze on the books again.

"Oh yeah, what kind of book are you looking for." He asked as he began to study the shelf.

Werewolf…

"Werewolves." I said and I could feel him tense up. I looked at him and all I was shock and well… shock.

"And why that book in particular?" he asked.

"I've always admired those creatures, you could say that I am a fan." I said with a smirk.

"Since when?" he asked still shell-shocked.

"Since I woke up." I said. It was no secret that some big shot in the room loathed werewolves, he refused to breathe the same air as them and well if you haven't already guessed who it was, I'll give you a clue. A certain green eyed vampire who probably was as shocked as tinker boy over here. "Excuse me, but I have some reading to do." I said as I walked away from him and towards the far end of the room where there was another settee that saw thankfully upstairs were the library continued. Although up there, it was less of a library and more of a lounging area.

As I sat there I sighed. Chris was right, I normally wouldn't have done what I did. But honestly it felt good… I loved the way I made Chris cringe out of fear. He was Luc's best friend and they both had the same attitude and outtake towards life. Arrogant narcissistic buttheads if you ask me.

When I first arrived here, I was told that there was a huge feud between Werewolves and Vampires. Every other creature wouldn't advice being on the crossfires with them. Because both of them held authority over other creatures. But one things for sure, Vampires are the most feared creatures of them all. They are basically the rulers of the entire world. But as usual the Werewolves refuse to bow down to the vamps because of their ego.

I had made a couple of friends behind the vampires back… why because those friends of mine were werewolves. Either Luc was overlooking the fact that I have befriended his enemies or he hasn't found out that I have broken one of his other rules. Which this one was treason… and there was no other way around it.

But as superior as these two may seem, I heard there was one ultimate ruler of the land and the sky. The Seraphs… no one has seen them in centuries and they are more of a myth than anything else. The seraphs have the power to destroy this world in just a matter of hours and that's why when the oracle prophesied that a seraph will live and walk among the vampires… and destroy the empire that the Harran have built, that's when Luc started to believe that it was someone close to him.

But he was wrong… and just because he was my mate he didn't think that I could hurt him. Boy was he dead wrong.

Because one day I might just consider rejecting him. Once I figure out how I can return back to my world, I will brake him… by taking away his strength. My friends did not die in vain, and I will play the same mind tricks that he has been playing with me. But even if I wanted to I couldn't, I am not that kind of person. It's funny how weak and pathetic I am.

"What's so funny?" A familiar voice asked me, making me turn to look at him. I hadn't realized that I was laughing.

I cleared my throat, "nothing…" I replied truthfully.

Sam nodded and sat right across from me. He stared at me and I stared back with the same intensity. "Interesting…" he said as he observed me. I raised my brow in a questioning way. "Is it possible that you have changed overnight or were you possessed by something?" he rubbed his chin.

I scoffed at his stupid remark and buried my face back into my book.

"What happened to you last night?" he suddenly asked.

I shrugged, "ooh the usual, my friends were brutally killed and I am to blame for that." I said with sarcasm.

"I know what happened… or let me rephrase my question." He said as he narrowed his eyes at me. "After you fell asleep for 4 hours… you screamed earning the attention of every vampire in this place. We rushed in but the door was locked, then Luc destroyed the door only to be blinded by a bright light. Your body was seen seconds later but you were glowing. And my question is what happened?" he asked and I froze as I remembered what happened.

I had completely forgotten about that. The voice saying I was a seraph and the little ball of light dancing in the room. "I don't know what you're talking about." I lied, it was evident that I can't trust him… he was basically Luc's little errand boy.

"Well if you don't tell me then I am led to come to my own conclusions." He said, not believing me at all.

"Which is?"

"You were possessed by an Angel."
