108 Uncertianty
"So, when will you come back?" Akeno asked and even Rias had the same question.
'He shouldn't be away for long right?' Rias thought since that wouldn't be an ideal situation for her.
"I'll only be away for a few days at max, I've arranged things with the administrator so no worries," Adam said with a smile and Rias was visibly relieved at this moment.
Even Akeno was smiling again like she had no other problems for now, but the most nervous one was Adam himself…
'The pendants should be enough to protect them right? Should I check again?' Adam thought but time was running out so he had to believe in himself for now and leave.
"Then I'll be going now, take care you two and if something urgent comes up you can always use the card," With that said Adam was gone leaving Rias and Akeno alone.

She thought she would be able to get some cuddling done with Adam and have a good night's sleep but now it was all ruined.

"Rias let's go back to my house, we need to talk about some things," Akeno looked more serious than normal and…

"Hmm, I wonder why I feel like my ears are itchy," Adam muttered as he scratched his ear.
"Who is talking about me? Hopefully, they aren't cursing me," It was a weird feeling but he ignored it for now since…
'Good thing is that now I can easily go to Rias's world without any problems of too much time passing in my absence,' Adam thought as he started to make some coffee for himself.
"That administrator might be the coolest one I have met till now," Adam laughed since the administrator of Rias's world heard his request of slowing down the time in that place, so Adam can come and go with minimal time passing.
'I would still need to wait since he said the world needs to stabilize before I go back again or it might fall apart,' Adam sighed looking at the pocket watch in his hands which was at 1 one, he can go back after it crosses 12 twice.
This is what he liked about the administrator of Rias's world, he was just calm with anything and that is why for Adam…
"He is way better than that monkey," Adam said hatefully sipping on his coffee.
But thinking of that troublesome Administrator, Adam became aware of another thing…
'If I go and see Robin now, how much time would've passed?' Adam started to imagine in his head and, 'It can even be possible that she has already grown up, or only a few days could have passed.'
The more Adam thought the more he frowned because…
"I really don't like uncertainty," Adam sighed since that was the main reason why he was the way he was.
From the time Adam was sent to the other world, he never attempted something without being sure that he could complete the task, he only had one life, for him if he died that was all, and he didn't want to die.
'Failure is out of the question because of what I had to do but it is not like one can run from it for long since if there is one thing someone can be certain about is the presence of uncertainty,' Adam poured himself another cup of coffee and he smiled, the reason was simple…
"I am engaged now, hehehe~," Adam was happy that he could finally take a step forward despite his uncertainties about whether he'd ever get to this stage, and this was an uncertainty that he welcomed.
But here he was, he was already engaged to a beautiful woman with another trying to be his mistress according to herself, it was something that he had always dreamt about but didn't think would happen.
This was indeed shocking and It made him go relive all of his struggles in the past 8,000 years, it made him feel that all he did in order to live another day and all of the work he put in to get to this stage…
'If I could go back I'll encourage myself, since it was quite…. Yeah, it was hellish back then,' Adam thought of how he had passed his days, first fighting against the Demon King's army, and then living alone in a remote corner of the world for years in order to get out of the world.
'There were times I felt like giving up, but I am glad I didn't….' Adam thought because…
'…It was totally worth it,' Adam smiled but because he was thinking of the past he thought of another thing that popped into his mind.
"I wonder how Ai's doing?" Adam had a special place for Ai in his heart since she was his first client, and if not for her this whole thing might not even be possible.
'Should I go and check?' Adam thought but once again the uncertainty was gripping him by the ankles.
"It could be that a lot of time has passed, and since she never came maybe…" Adam sighed gripping the cup, thoughts came to his head like a flood.
'I guess, old habits die hard,' Adam sat down on the couch drinking his coffee wondering what to do next.
But it seemed like he wouldn't be able to keep that thought for long since…

"Another client?" Adam raised an eyebrow, he felt like something was up with so many clients starting to show up in the short span since there were a lot of big gaps between the customers at the start.
But he couldn't think of what might be causing this and on top of that…
"Well, I need to do my job," Adam sighed as he stood up and got everything ready before the door opened.
'Hmm? This is certainly interesting,' That was Adam's thought as soon as he saw the girl who walked in wearing what seemed like a school uniform.
But Adam's attention was on this girl's face and not because she was beautiful, The reason was that this girl was missing an eye or more like...
'The area around it as well,' Adam thought he smiled politely before speaking to the girl who was looking around the place.
"It is nice to meet you miss, my name is Adam, how can I help you?"
"Well, starting off, Is this place the real deal?" The girl with orange hair asked pointing at the paper on the door.
"Yes it is, can I know your name?" Adam asked and the girl nodded calmly, she didn't seem disturbed by anything it seemed.
"Name is Kugisaki Nobara, Nice to meet you," Nobara spoke calmly while pointing at herself with her thumb.
"The feeling is mutual, so shall we talk?" Adam said pointing at the sofa and Nobara nodded.
'This might be the weirdest day of my life,' Nobara thought as it has been just that…
Where does she even start to explain this?
