212 The Main Problem

"I think… I like him…" It was a vague feeling, and that is why she wasn't sure about it.

"But someone like me..." Regardless, her lackluster appearance only dampened her confidence.

"What do I do?" and it only served to confuse her further, because even if she liked him.

"Her mother seemed overly friendly" Adam sighed, he didn't want to take that friendliness too seriously, because of how the mother actually was.

"Well, I need to deal with this one first… I'll think about the rest later," He was now on a hunt, after all, he wanted to eliminate any possibility of Saki going on that path. It was only natural to do that he had the chance.

'This will take a while even with the reason that I have created,' But he didn't care for that, since this will help him take out a big number of contributors.

"She can live a better life like this…" Adam was currently walking through the alleyways in Shinjuku keeping an eye on everyone he walked by, and he soon spotted the one he was looking for in one of the empty alleys.

"Hey beautiful… wanna go out for a drink?" A guy in his early twenties, with neck-length brown hair sporting a slimy smirk was standing there.

"I already refused," With the tall black-haired woman that he was trying to hit on, who didn't seem thrilled with his advances.

"Oh Come on, just one drink is all I ask for…" But like a persistent fly that had taken notice of sugar, he kept on circling her more aggressively by the minute.

"Yo-" She frowned deeply, about to lash out and deal with this pesky thug.

"Hey, what do you think you are doing?" Adam's deep voice rang out in the empty alleyway, interrupting the two.

"Dude, why the hell are you trying to act cool? Can't you see that I am trying to talk to this beautiful woman? So, unless you have a death wish, fuck off," The guy spoke with an unusual level of bravado for someone, who looked like a kid in front of Adam.

The difference between them was laughable in every way, and it made one wonder where this courage came from.

"The thing is that I have business with her, so if you leave silently it would be less problematic for us," Uncaring of that attitude, Adam spoke in the same tone while walking towards them with slow steps.

"Oh, what would be less problematic?" The guy smirked taking this opportunity to walk forward, one hand in the inner pocket of his jacket he clearly wanted to show his courage in front of the woman, but…

"Nothing much, I might need to call an ambulance for some poor little man that I found beaten up in the corner of a dark alley, it might even be in the morning news…" Standing in front of the guy Adam spoke by looking him dead in his eyes, "Male X died because of excessive blood loss on the way to the hospital, truly problematic don't you think?"

'This guy is crazy…' Just from the look in Adam's eyes, the guy was scared in an instant, 'I have to do something…'

"Y-You…" The brown-haired man tried to step back and tried to pull out the knife from his inner pocket, but Adam's hand grabbed his hand stopping the attempt.

'What the fuck is with his strength? This fucking gorilla!!' It was like he was body was stuck in place, he couldn't shake the grip off at all, and it kept getting tighter by the moment.

"Ahhhgh!" It felt like his hand was getting crushed in the jaws of a crocodile.

"Don't you think that will be really~ problematic?" Adam on the other hand asked with a smile, and the guy shivered in place like a rat that had been cornered by a cat.

'He looks serious, I thought he looked like a gangster like that one guy from before that only looked tough, but he really is one! What the fuck have you done Hayato!!!' The boy cursed himself for his stupidity but it wasn't without reason, 'If only I was not so blinded by this bitch's body, I would've ran away!!'

He looked at the woman who seemed totally lost in this situation, but Hayato was already shaking in his place unable to see anything else, but his safety. Because among the people he knew, everyone told him that he could mess with anyone, but he should never mess with a tough looking guy who can back up his look.

"Y-Yes…. I'll go away…" He couldn't even match Adam's gaze.

"Good thing we can reach an understanding," Adam smiled as he took his hand off, "and if ever see you frolicking around here, I might really need to call the fishermen for a favor."

"I-I won't…" Hayato nearly pissed himself, this time he was threatened much more openly, and this made him understand what type of crazy bastard he was messing with.

"Now get lost," Adam's smile didn't reach his eyes the dullness was still there, which is why Hayato freaked out.

"I-I'll go!!!" That is why, he decided to run away as soon as possible.

"Urgh, F-Fuck…" And because of his hasty movement, fell face-first on the floor after tripping over a can of beer, but he quickly crawled away without even trying to stop.

'If I stop he'll kill me, I can feel it!!' The fear that Adam had put in his heart, wasn't something he could shake off because it was supposed to stay there forever.

'Of course, he can't, it isn't just fear after all,' Adam sighed since this was the most he could do, 'hopefully this curse spreads through him and will work as intended towards anyone who tries to harm her. A curse that is similar to an epidemic that spreads through contact, it will soon spread all over this city.'

Even this had cost him 5 days in this world, because he used supernatural means to deal with a situation that had nothing to do with him, and because of that…

'This is the best I could do with what I had, and this much will be more than enough to wipe out the trash of this city,' Not only will it stop people from harboring wicked thoughts against Saki, 'but it will also interfere with any wicked ideas altogether, because bad luck will always follow them and make them fail, this is what Judgement can do if used correctly.' 

He had effectively put a spell that would create a peaceful world, through unusual means of a curse, that started with one person. And as this curse spreads, the fewer crimes there will be, no matter how small they are because immediate judgment will fall on the people who did it.

'It is good that I concluded it just 5 days,' Adam nodded in satisfaction, he didn't need to put the spell on everyone but it will reach everyone in due time. And with that, he had laid the groundwork to secure Saki's safety.

'If something still happens, I can just come and help,' And with the backup plan in place, there was no need to worry as of now.

"U-Um…" This is when Adam was brought out of his thoughts by the woman standing next to him, she still looked confused at what happened but.

"Y-You had some business with me?" She was still hung up on what he said before.

"Oh! Nothing like that…" A bulb went off in Adam's head so he explained, "And I am not really a gangster, just wanted to end the altercation without any actual fighting." The way he had acted wasn't something that would get normal reactions, so he understood her nervousness.

"Ah, No that's not the problem…" The woman shook her head quickly, it wasn't like she thought anything of what he said, "I just wanted to thank you… for that."

She just wanted to thank him for ending that so quickly, it saved her a lot of trouble.

"It's nothing, It is normal to help when someone is in trouble," Adam played the part of a good-natured guy, after all, that was better than acting like a delinquent for no reason.

"Well, that is true…" The woman nodded with her eyes darting around, she had a question but didn't know how to ask it.

"Do you want me to accompany you to the train station?" Adam asked looking at her fidgety movements.

"Ah, no that's not what I wanted to say…" The woman quickly denied it while waving her hands, she might not mind that but it wasn't the question.

"Oh, then what is it?"
