95 Something To Do?

Meanwhile…

Kuoh Academy, Kuoh.

Inside the main room of Occult Research Club didn't have its usual hubbub since almost everyone was outside either on jobs or doing their own thing, well aside from one person and that was…

'Why did I act that way with him?' Rias was sitting on her chair behind the desk while holding her head, in these past few days she had been constantly thinking about the way she refused to meet with Adam repeatedly.

She did regret it after he left, but the point was…

"But it was his mistake," Rias muttered with a pout as at the time looking at what Adam did was too much for her to wrap her head around, she really felt betrayed at that moment and she was sure that she would lash out very badly at him along with Akeno which is why she went away as declined meeting or speaking the two, even the answers to Akeno's messages were sent through Grayfia.

'It was hard to get over that after seeing it happen,' Rias just didn't want to say something hurtful to the two people she considered closest to her even when she had met one of them recently.

She had known Akeno for a long time and she was her trusted second in command along with being her best friend that was close enough to be called her sister.

And while she had known Adam only for a few days, he already had a place in her heart that no one else would be able to take.

'But I planned to change that properly, no….' Rias's eyes went to the black card that was placed on the desk in front of her, 'I can still change it.'

But there was one problem here….

"…What will I say to him?" Rias started to fuss over this in the next instant since it was one of the biggest problems that had kept her from using the card till now.

'He won't be angry with me right?' Rias had been thinking this since it could happen, well it was all in her head and she was just overthinking the whole situation even when she knew the situation.

"Anyway, wasn't it his fault anyway? Then there is no way he will give me attitude, right?" Rias stood up pushing the chair she was sitting on behind.

As stated before there was something else that kept her back…

'How should I approach 'that' topic now?' Rias started to think of what Akeno had said to her on the day Adam left and the words had not left her head since, on one side she liked him but on the other hand, she wanted her best friend to be happy as well.

"It is so difficult," Rias groaned slightly as she felt her head hurt and then….

"Want my help?" A voice was heard from behind her…

"Waaahhhh! Wh-?!" Rias shouted in fright at the voice and quickly turned around to see who it was, "Adam!?"

"I probably shouldn't have done that, didn't want to scare you," Adam smiled while scratching his face, he came here to look for Rias but…

"H-How long have you been there? Be honest, Don't even think about lying!" Rias asked and she was still embarrassed about that high pitch scream she had let out earlier.

"Well, since 'But it was his fault'," Adam answered truthfully, he was about to call out to her but then he heard her speak and ended up listening to the rest of her thoughts before speaking.

"W-Why didn't you speak earlier?" Rias's face was red because…

'He heard everything!' Rias felt really embarrassed and used the transfer magic on instinct to get out of this situation because she was sure she wouldn't be able to talk right now, not to mention that she wanted to bury herself in a hole at this moment for obvious reasons. But…

'Why isn't it working?' Rias was shocked to find that the spell didn't work and the reason for it was standing right in front of her.

"I won't let you go this time," Adam said as Rias glared at him but even then she didn't look the least bit threatening and even that little glare vanished after he continued.

"It is as you said that it was my fault before, I shouldn't have done that with Akeno, I am really ashamed of it myself and I know that no matter how much I apologize it won't be able to make up for what I did," Adam said and Rias looked at him, "So Rias, tell me what I can do?"

"…Adam," Rias muttered slowly as Adam stared at her with a smile, she could see that he was being as truthful as possible.

'I don't understand what I can do to mend this broken trust and I don't know how I can return things to how they were unless I turn back the time but that will not help anyone and it isn't how I want to do things, which is why….' Adam was waiting for Rias to speak but she walked near him and smelled his shirt speaking…

"How did you come to this world again? On your own or did someone summon you?" Rias asked looking at Adam with extreme seriousness.

'Who was it? Did they already do it?' Rias thought as the scent of perfume on Adam's shirt was quite prominent which caught her attention.

And it wasn't like Adam wasn't about it either….

"It was Akeno, and she was the one who told me to see you," Adam added the last part just in case as he saw Rias pause for a bit.

"…So, you weren't going to come and see me if she didn't say it?" Rias asked while raising her eyebrow as she crossed her arms under her bust.

"Nothing like that! I was in fact just about to come look for you before Akeno walked into the store, you know, and then…." Adam said and looking at him explain it made Rias chuckle.

"You really are an idiot," Rias said as Adam sighed it didn't look like she was angry when came close to him and hugged him, "But I am a bigger idiot than you."

"Rias… you…" Hearing Adam speak Rias looked up at him and smiled.

"I have decided what I am going to make you do as your punishment," Adam waited patiently for her to speak, but it would be a lie if he said that he wasn't nervous.

"After a few days, you will come to my house in the underworld…" Rias smiled slightly as she was pleased with the look of nervousness on Adam's face before continuing, "And ask for my hand in marriage."

"…What?" Adam blinked a few times before it finally sunk in.

"Hand in marriage?! Rias!" Adam looked at Rias who was smiling at him.

"What? You don't want to?" Rias really enjoyed his reaction and couldn't help but tease him a little.

"No way in hell I am saying that! I am just…" Adam was stuck in place his mind was the same, having to ask for Rias's hand in Marriage was like…

'Asking her to marry me! Wait!! What?!' This is how bad this had stunned him, after all this was his dream that he thought wouldn't come true.

"So, you will come right?" Rias asked and Adam nodded immediately, fast enough to cause the curtains in the room to start moving making her laugh.

"I'll notify my parents about it then," Rias said leaning on Adam's chest with a big smile on her face.

'I never thought I would miss this so much,' Rias hugged Adam tightly feeling his warmth, it was making her feel really comfortable, comfortable enough for her to live like a koala for the rest of her life while she is sticking to Adam 24/7.

But there were still some questions that she had in mind.

"So, did you complete the contract with Akeno?" Rias asked and Adam was pulled out of his dreamland where he had Rias were already great grandparents.

"…Yeah," Adam answered slowly, he didn't really know what else to say since…

"I see, I'll go and meet her mother later," Rias said as Adam tilted his head.

'Why later?' But he was soon given his answer as Rias cupped his face and caught his lips quickly in order to not give him any chance to react.

"I need to do something right now," Rias smirked looking at Adam's face after she broke the kiss.
