Meet Her Again?

"Well, then I'll go," Adam said as the door appeared in front of him, Nobara quickly opened her eyes and she stopped scrolling through the menu.

There was something else she needed to say to him at this moment…

"The next time you come, at least try to make an effort," Adam looked at Nobara who was frowning unhappily, the reason that frown was there was apparent.

'She knew that I wasn't planning on working with the contract,' Adam sighed thinking that he might've been too obvious, or the fact that he didn't put in enough effort to cover the fact, or it could be the fact that he said he was with someone else last night.

Either way, he didn't leave a really good impression on her for sure.

'Even if she didn't say anything more, it would be weird if she didn't have her doubts,' Adam thought looking at Nobara, there wasn't much he could tell her since he was under the illusion that she already knew.

What she had told him was correct and there was no denying it, he had played with her expectations, and not only hers alone…

"I'll try harder after I sort out this task, I promise," Adam said and Nobara tilted her head after listening to his words.

"Do you think it will be that easy?" Nobara didn't like how easily Adam was taking this, did he think that getting her would be done with just working hard?

"I will have you cry tears of blood for this, so you better be prepared for a rude awakening," Nobara smirked, Making her fall wouldn't be that easy, she would do everything in her power to make it harder.

'I don't want a weak relationship, and I won't settle for one unless I am sure,' Nobara was certain that she wouldn't settle for anything but the best, and the best wasn't based on what other people thought.

'The one who suits me is the best,' Nobara was confident in that regard, She didn't care about other's opinions much unless they coincided with hers or were the correct fact, sometimes she'd even refuse hard facts if she didn't agree with it.

"I wouldn't expect anything less," Adam smiled slightly looking at Nobara, something about that confidence was very charming.

'It takes a certain strength to have confidence in yourself after all,' Adam shook his head as confidence may seem like something easy one gets by believing in oneself.

But in reality, it wasn't like that, it was worse when you could understand that your self was worth nothing, How would you gain confidence then?

But Nobara and Mei Mei had an inhuman level of confidence in themselves, it was because they were completely sure of what they were.

"Then I'll go, Take care of yourself Nobara," Adam opened the door and walked into the shop that Nobara had seen before.

"He's gone, huh," Nobara muttered sitting on the chair, there was a certain feeling of anger inside of her.

'I couldn't ask him about the date in the end,' Nobara blushed a little at her inability.

Yes, she was about to ask Adam about maybe going on a date next time since things were a little calm right now and they could be better when he comes back.

But because of the atmosphere and the embarrassment that came with asking a man out on a date for the first time, she couldn't go through with it since it was too much even for Nobara.

"He surely thinks that I am a glutton now, Damn it!" Nobara was pissed but she was also happy looking at the bracelet.

'Now I can that super tasty food every day. Ah, heaven!!' Nobara liked the food Adam made a bit too much, it was all according to her criteria after all.

Nobara had very strict regulations when it came to food, and the list of criteria went something like this, every section was given points out of 10.

Should be Super tasty, Adam gets a 1,000 out of 10 here.

Should be SNS-worthy, Adam again gets a 1,000 out of 10 here.

Shouldn't have too many calories since she didn't want to worry about her weight, Adam got a whopping 10,000 out of 10.

Should be light enough for her to eat multiple servings till she is satisfied, once again Adam got a 10,000 out of 10.

And last but most crucial category…

It should be something that can give her comfort, doesn't matter what dish it was, and Adam got a 100,000 out of 10 there.

So his final score was…

"122,000 out of 50, an all-time high!! I don't think anyone is beating it," Nobara had never seen someone score this high on her list not to mention that the second place was behind more than 121,890 points.

She never thought that someone would be able to score this high as well.

'He is certainly a great cook.' Nobara nodded with a smile, the food was just too good, to the point that she couldn't think of anything else because she could remember the taste of each dish vividly on her tongue even now.

But she had to stop reveling in that for now…

"I need to try harder the next time he comes as well," Nobara muttered, she wasn't happy that she behaved that way in the end, and she will definitely ask him the next time.

One might wonder why she was behaving this way after the words she said to Adam before he left. The answer to that was simple.

Nobara was a sincere person, if she asked someone to treat her with respect then…

'It is only natural that I do the same if he complies, if he doesn't then imma just dump him then and there, I don't care what happens,' Nobara wasn't afraid to speak her heart, and she certainly wasn't shy about getting what she wanted, she could get embarrassed sometimes though but that would only be a momentary hurdle.

"Let's meet again soon, Adam," Nobara said while looking at the place the door vanished, then walked out of the house with a smirk on her face.

Her mood was thoroughly uplifted now despite the tough last night, She was almost dead, met an unknown dude and made a ridiculous contract with him, and now her friend's life was in danger while she was out here worrying about where to go on a date since Shibuya was mostly destroyed. It was a tough day and tougher days might follow but Nobara didn't care.

If the days will get tough then she'll just deal with them.

And this was how Adam left not knowing that there were three women who were eagerly waiting to see him again.

The Shop, ????.

Adam arrived in the familiar shop again, looking around there hadn't been many changes made to this place recently since there was no need to do that as nothing was destroyed and the other fact was…

'Things have been too hectic for me to think about the interior design,' Adam didn't have the time to be worrying about it.

No, he barely had any time lately with one client after another.

And now he had to visit Rias and Akeno or so he had thought since…

"This thing has barely moved," Adam muttered looking at the watch in his hand.

As things stand now he couldn't visit Rias and Akeno to talk with them, but that wasn't going to work since there was nothing else to do about the timer.

"Should I really just be sitting down here?" Adam muttered while he was on the sofa, he was of course waiting for the time when he could go and talk to the two.

'I might get caught up in more trouble if I stay here,' Adam was sure that some client might pop up and he didn't want to deal with that right now.

'I am already neck deep in trouble here,' Adam sighed as he wondered where he could go right now, and after thinking about it for a while there was only one place that came to his mind.

"Should I visit her after all?"
