"Now I can't allow something like that," A red circle lit up in the middle of Riser and Rias before a cold voice rang out in the heated room.
"Grayfia!" Rias looked at the silver-haired woman in a maid uniform standing in the room looking at Riser. Rias already knew that she would appear.
She was the Queen in her brother's Peerage, the person who had arranged this Rating Game.
But that didn't seem the end of it as they heard a knock on the door.
"I'll open it, My lady," Grayfia walked past Riser as his flames disappeared in thin air.
"Hello," Grayfia was met with a tall white-haired man waving at her as she opened the door.
"Who might you be, Sir?" Grayfia asked respectfully but the answer came from behind.
"A-Adam!" Rias shouted as Adam looked at her.
A little while later,
Rias and Adam were sitting on one couch with her peerage standing behind them and Riser was sitting down on the couch opposite to them.
Grayfia was standing in the corner of the room observing everyone with her red eyes.
"Why did you come here today?" Rias asked Adam and he turned to her.
"I smelled some chicken so I came by, looks like I was wrong, or half right I guess?" Adam said while looking at Riser.
"Really, you…." Rias sighed heavily hearing that.
"Rias who is he? And why is he sitting beside you?" Riser didn't look pleased at all as he saw Adam.
"Who I sit with is none of your concern," Rias frowned, she just didn't like Riser being so nosy about her business.
"Rias it seems that living in the mortal world has really done a number on you, how could you let a lowly human sit next to a pure-blooded Devil like yourself? Do you understand how degrading that is? Why don't you consider your position as the Heiress of the Gremory Clan?" Riser crossed his arms and looked at Rias with a frown before continuing, "And I am your fiancé how could you let another man sit next to you? In front of me no less."
"I already told you that I do not accept you as my fiancé, That is why I have challenged you to a rating game," Rias said and Riser chuckled.
"Rias you can't defeat me, you have no experience in a rating game not to mention that you don't even have a full set to fight against me," Rias didn't want to admit it but what Riser said was indeed correct.
"If that is true then why don't you just accept it?" Adam said and Riser frowned deeply.
"Don't butt into our conversation you damn human scum, I hate you,"
"The feeling's mutual, half-chicken," Adam said and Riser looked pissed.
"What did you say?"
"I called you a half-chicken, no maybe I should call you a scared half-chicken?" Adam tapped his chin while thinking and Riser jumped up from his seat.
"That is enough out of you, I will not sit here and be insulted by the likes of you!!" Riser's hand was covered in hellfire as he tried to punch Adam, but it was met with a wall of ice.
"Why are you saving him?" Riser turned to Grayfia in anger and…
"I am not saving him," Grayfia said plainly and veins started to appear on Riser's face.
"You may be called the Strongest Queen, but I will not just stand here and let you call me weaker than some powerless lowly human, He doesn't look anything special to me," Riser said but Grayfia's face was as chill as ice.
"Strength recognizes Strength Riser-sama, Now if you cause any more ruckus here, I would need to take action in order to preserve the honor of my King," Riser's anger was blown away but the sudden chilly air that passed throughout the room.
Everyone was trembling slightly even Rias but one person was unaffected.
"And Adam-sama, would you please not agitate Riser-sama into attacking you?" Grayfia asked Adam as she turned to look at him.
'Wait, he was trying to do that?' Rias understood what Adam was trying to do and it really warmed her heart.
"Well, if someone like you asks me that nicely I can't deny it," Adam shrugged and just leaned back into the couch.
'It is the best maid Grayfia after all,' Adam was really in awe as he saw her in the flesh, she was gorgeous.
"I am very grateful you think so highly of me," Grayfia bowed slightly and moved back into her corner once again observing everyone.
"Guh! Rias if you want a rating game then let me warn yo-" Riser was about to go on a tangent again but…
"If you are scared just say so, otherwise just accept the challenge," Adam said and Riser's anger rose, but he knew he couldn't attack and that was pissing him off even more.
"Sure, Rias if you want a Rating Game then that is what you'll get, Let me show you what you'll be dealing with later," Riser said and a big yellow magic circle lit up on the floor.
'Why is he revealing his cards? What type of shounen shit is this?' Adam nearly face palmed but in the next second…
'I am sorry I called you a half-chicken,' Adam couldn't help but think that as he looked at Riser's Peerage, or more like his harem.
"You see this? I have a full set and all of them are exceptionally strong, feast your eyes upon this you lowly Human and low-level devil, You'll never have this!" Riser looked at both Adam and Issei as he started to grope his peerage members while kissing a few.
"Guh!" Issei felt like he was hit with a serious blow and this made Rias sigh.
'But he is unfazed by this,' Rias looked at Adam who was straight-faced and smiled, if only she could read his thoughts at this moment.
'Just you wait Chicken, give me a few thousand years and you'll see, no wait at the rate I am meeting women I might die before I can even get married much less a Harem, Why is it so unfair!!!' Adam was doing backflips in his mind while he cursed and shouted while his face was as still as Grayfia's.
"As both parties have agreed to the rating Game, as the mediator between your families, I'll overlook the preparations of the rating game," Grayfia said while both Rias and Riser nodded in agreement.
"Rias, I'll give you 10 days to make up your mind and surrender, if you choose to fight then so be it," Riser turned around and left along with his peerage members using a transfer circle.
"Why is he acting so big? Don't worry president we'll beat up that fried chicken black and blue," Issei said with great enthusiasm.
"As you are, You wouldn't be able to beat even the weakest member of Riser-sama's Peerage," Grayfia said flatly and Issei froze on the spot.
But she didn't bother with him and turned to Rias.
"My Lady, are you sure about this? You are at a disadvantage since you don't have a full set and two of your servants lack experience, If you do something like this, you won't be able to step back if you lose, Sirzechs-sama is doing his best to break off your engagement if you would just wait a little," Grayfia tried to reason with Rias but…
"Don't worry Grayfia I've made up my mind, I trust in my peerage and there is another thing I have prepared in order to make up for the differences between my and Riser's peerage," Rias looked at Adam who was just sitting silently and the asked, "Adam do you think my Peerage will be able to defeat Riser's if you train them for 10 days?"
"Hmm," Adam closed his eyes as if he was thinking deeply.
Everyone in the room was looking at Adam, most of the people knew that he surely had something in order to sit next to Rias and even the way Grayfia treated him showed that he was indeed someone special.
And soon they got his answer…
"I don't see your peerage losing if they follow my training," Adam spoke as soon as he opened his eyes.
"See?" Rias turned to Grayfia and she just nodded with a flat look.
'It would seem that My lady has indeed grown a little,' Grayfia closed her eyes with a faint smile on her face, she pictured Sirzechs running around his office shouting how proud he was of Rias.
"Then I shall take my leave," Grayfia then used a transfer circle and vanished from there.
"Everyone get ready we need to go and start training as soon as possible, we'll need to suspend the club activities for the duration as well," Rias stood up and looked at her Peerage members.
"Yes, but President won't you introduce us to the person who will be training us?" Akeno smiled as she spoke, it was clear that Adam was going to train them but they didn't know anything about him.
