'I knew this would happen,' Grayfia thought as she walked towards the place where this was happening, the office of the current head of the Gremory Clan.

The people present there were, Zeoticus Gremory, Rias's father; Venelana Gremory, Rias's mother; Sirzechs Lucifer, Rias's brother; And Rias herself.

The topic they were talking about was….

'My Lady likely talked about how she wants to marry Adam-sama,' Grayfia still hadn't heard what was going on but she could easily make a guess.

The very obvious part was Rias's affection for Adam, which was not hidden at all to anyone who has seen them together save for a few people who were just special in the head.

And then there was the thing Rias requested for if she won the rating game against Riser, which was the freedom to choose her own husband without any influence from the family.

Then came the Sirzechs's scream, there was nothing that could horrify the strongest devil in the underworld so much, aside from the fact that his sister is about to get married and will go away from the house(It is all in his head since Rias is the heir of the Gremory House).

Just these reasons were enough for Grayfia to understand what was going and it wasn't like she had something against it, she had seen Adam and Rias together, through which she was able to understand that it is only a matter of fact that this is happening now.

'They make for a good couple after all,' Grayfia thought while walking and then stopped in front of the mirror.

"I should just forget about what I heard that day, there must've been some sort of misunderstanding," Grayfia muttered after looking at her reflection and…

'Yeah, I should give up,' Grayfia thought as a rare sigh escaped her red lips.

"I can't believe I still haven't gotten over it after so many years," Grayfia started walking down the hallways her face changing back to how it was before as she thought how she should just forget what she heard that day without questioning anything further since the Gremory estate was about become the most hectic place in the underworld in the coming days.

But she didn't know that these thoughts would once again stare her in the eyes once again in the following days forcing her to look at things she tried to ignore.

And currently, another person was facing such things and it was none other than Adam himself.

'I thought I would be able to think about what to do about 'that' but…'

"Adam, Where did you go?" Adam looked at the little girl who was holding his pant with her fingers at this moment.

It was none other than Ophis who had once again arrived at this mansion to wait in the kitchen for Adam to arrive and cook food for her.

'Did she come every day here?' Adam thought as he had felt Ophis arrive in the kitchen this morning which is why he tried to get up but Rias was too strong for him.

'I should be ashamed of myself, yeah I'll reflect later(wouldn't),' Adam thought as he looked at Ophis who was looking at him with the same flat look on her face but he could see that she indeed missed him.

"I went to do some… work," Adam said as Ophis tilted her head.

"Can I come along next time?" She asked and Adam was stuck since…

'Yeah there is no way I can do that… considering what I do…' In the end, Adam sighed before he stopped thinking and shook his head.

"Why?" Ophis asked looking at him.

"Well it is like very far away, and I won't be away for long this time. Also, I will give you some homework while I am away along with a lot of food, how about it?" Adam asked but he didn't even need to get an answer from Ophis since the way her eyes shined told him everything that the topic was successfully diverted at this moment.

'I think she is more attached to the food than me,' Adam sighed as he got to cooking while Ophis sat on the counter and watched him while swinging her legs indicating her happy mood even though her face was completely flat.

And it was no need to state that she ate a lot of food that day, enough to make up for the days she wasn't able to eat and Adam even made a lot of food for her in preparation for later as Ophis left after staying for an extra few more hours.

"Hmm, I should go out and look for it rather than just sitting," Adam stood up as he got out of the mansion and headed for Kuoh city, his current objective?

'How do I find a proper gift for that type of situation?' Adam was thinking about what to bring with him when he goes to visit the Gremory Estate later for what he agreed with.

"Mama, that man is making a weird face," A child who was walking with his mother pointed at Adam.

"Don't point!" The mother quickly picked up the kid and walked away faster, it was just how Adam looked, he was just a mean-looking guy but now he had a weird smile on his face because..

'I can't believe it, I am actually going to marry Rias,' Adam really couldn't get over this fact, 'I should thank that goddess for all of the sufferings she had put me through, without that I wouldn't be able to get this.'

Adam even forgot all of his resentment for a moment but that was the end of it as the real problem still wasn't solved… even after he scoured the entire Kuoh City.

"Haaaaaahhhhhh* Why isn't there anything I can take as a gift with me?" Adam cursed as while walking around the place randomly, he had seen most places he could find that sold this type of thing and he still couldn't find anything, the reason?

"They aren't even that nicely made," Adam's standards were a bit too high…

'Oh no, what will I do? Will this affect the talks? No, it definitely will, I have heard it has happened before,' And Adam was thinking too much.

And just like this Adam walked around to go to a small alley to go to a small ramen shop he found before, this place had one of the best ramen he had eaten so he was planning to have some more now that he had the chance.

But as he walked into the alleyway he saw a black cat with golden eyes in front of him just chilling on top of what seemed like delivery boxes and it turned to look at him almost instantly with a small meow.

"Hmm, cute," Adam smiled slightly as he petted the cat gently after seeing that she didn't run away.

But then...

'Interesting,' Adam thought while looking at the white-haired boy who was standing near the boxes with a blank look looking down.

"Bye-bye," Even then Adam didn't care much for the boy since he already had a lot on his mind, but he still said goodbye to the cat who meowed back pleasantly making him smile as he walked away with all of his tiredness blown away.

And after Adam got out of sight…

"Hey, Albion What was the meaning of that?! Why did you make me freeze in place?!" The boy shouted in rage, if one were to see it from the side they'd think that he was shouting at the cat but in reality, it seemed unbothered since she wasn't the target of the boy's anger.

And he soon got his answer...
