chapter 2: Knowing the monster I have as a dad!

On a beautiful morning,I woke up lazily from my sleep to hear cries and Whispers.I got up from my bed to check what it was all about and I saw my dad strangling my mom , telling her to say the name of the guy she was seeing but my innocent mom couldn't even talk because she was choking and couldn't breathe..

I felt very sad seeing my mom that way I screamed so loud my dad saw me and left my mom alone. Well it happens like that most of the time, whenever he sees me...he leaves her alone.

Lily dear! do not mind what you just saw your,it was just a little misunderstanding between me and your dad and we just settled it ...baby,it's not what you are thinking it is...your dad is a good man..he loves me so much and won't hurt me!...those were the words my mother was always saying...like seriously !..in my head I was like oh no....I'm not going to let my mom suffer this...but in reality I knew there was nothing I could do other than cry it out...I left my mom where she was and I ran to my room ,I quickly locked my door before she could try to come in because I was angry at her and my dad...but mostly my dad...

After crying for almost an hour, reality dawned on me and I realized I was supposed to be in school...I quickly got up from bed,had my bath and went to bus stop without even having breakfast . Luckily for me, the bus just arrived and I hurriedly got into it and behold my bestie was there waiting for me.

She waved at me and I hurriedly went to sit beside her but on my way to the sit she kept for me...my eyes caught up with an unfamiliar face...it was a guy😱..he had deep blue eyes that looked like an ocean,his hair was not well cut but he was still looking cute but the only thing was that he was looking tattered and unkempt . I felt pity for him but then my bestie cut in and told me to sit down,she noticed my face and instantly knew something was wrong.

I narrated everything to her and she comforted me but she gave me the silliest advice ever!. Alexia said " Lily don't you worry about anything at all..my room is very big u know that..so u can run away from home and make them look for you ..I and my parents will pretend not to know anything.....I bursted out laughing everyone turned to look at me ....I was so ashamed then I told her not to worry and I'll be fine.😕😟
