Well, while he questions me I'll recap you on the past week, voices in my head.

I have had quite the week! I fought 5 times and all 5 times I was thoroughly underwhelmed. Every single fight ended the same pathetic way! I'd come out, rush my opponent and throw a hammer fist or soccer kick. And low and behold, they get one shot and fall over like ragdolls. It's a bit disappointing, I can't even use proper moves on them due to the size difference! All I can do is throw hammers and low kicks, its boring.

But, on a less boring note, magic! I haven't learned it, but I can! 'How?' you may ask? Mutations! And the humongous pile of points I'm sitting on.

I upgraded again! And it actually cost around...60 points? And my mutations are physically visible now actually. My teeth are pearly white and literally sharp as blades. My muscles have the most noticeable changes due to the uh...veins and the fact they look like they are constantly flexing at all times even though they aren't. The big thing though is that I added the mana inclined mutation to my brain! At 5 points, its still Lesser though...not that I get the actual difference in performance.

[Tier 1 Force Spells]

Force spells are a close cousin to pure mana spells and focus on application of kinetic force. Considered to be rather weak at early and middle levels due to low combat usage, and is often used for mundane tasks and pranks.

Allows access to [Push] and [Pull] spells.

[Tier 1 Fire Spells]

Fire spells are application of pyromancy, and have a wide variety of offensive, defensive, and everyday uses.

Considered to be the starting point for almost all mages, and a standing stone for higher tier mages who favor the magic for its destructive output.

Allows access to [Fireball], [Flare], [Heat], and [Kindle] spells.

[Tier 1 Wind Spells]

Wind spells are under developed, due to not having any known spells attached save for wind manipulation.

Allows access to [Wind Manipulation] spell.

[Tier 1 Pure Mana Spells]

Pure Mana spells focus on the application of pure, concentrated mana. Highly destructive at higher levels, but considered weak at early levels, and therefore are treated as a waste of time.

Allows access to [Pure Mana Beam], [Pure Mana Bolt], and [Pure Mana Burst] spells.

I looked over and saw that muman and the scholars were long gone, replaced by a not so happy looking Thurston. Fuck, how long have I been ignoring this Tsundere for?

"Sorry.." I gave him a little apology, setting my food aside and standing up to speak with him. Nevermind the fact that he gets to wander the halls with the same privilege as an attendant while I have to sit in a cage separate from everyone else after my last fight...not at all jealous.

"Ah whatever, I have news for you big fella! Not particularly good news though.." Thurston prattled on for a moment, finally getting to the point after a bit.

"Anywho, since A Block has refused to offer up more duelists, you're gonna have to do some infighting with the barrel of fat over there." Thurston pointed over to a big man, almost as big as me.

The man was quite rotund, a shiny chest piece that barely fit him on his chest, a big pink skinned belly hanging out from under it. With big thick arms and a pig like face on his bald head, the large man was shoveling big glops of food in his mouth without taking a breath. A war hammer the size of Thurston resting at his side.

Gross, I gotta fight Bert Kreischer?
