9 Step 5

I woke up close to lunchtime. I was about to start further analysis of the system's abilities and features, but my stomach reminded me very loudly.

Yes, I hadn't eaten since yesterday, because I was too busy sorting out all the information that had been dumped on me.

A check of the food supply showed a complete emptiness. I had to forget everything, take my allowance and go to solve the problem of lack of food, and at the same time buy everything I needed for the house.

The weather was wonderful: sunny, but at the same time not hot, and in the sky floating clouds, the grass is green, and the birds are singing.

It's idyllic, but people spoil all this beautiful picture: they look at me as an enemy of the humanity, and are always trying to hurt or insult me.

But I haven't done anything bad to anyone yet, okay, I've done something bad to someone, but it's not proven at all, so it doesn't count. But with that attitude, they'll get to the point where the key word is "yet".

I'm not a maniac, of course, I'm not going to kill everyone, because I need to build a harem, so I'll kill selectively, only the most prominent ones. And there are surprisingly many of them.

Probably the locals have no instinct for self-preservation, well, or brain, or how else to explain their actions I just do not know.

How can you not understand the simple fact that children grow up? Yes, now you've slapped the little demon kid, but it won't be long before he grows into a big, strong demon: and then what?

And in general, how every dog in the village knows my face, like flyers with my face and the inscription "in it sits a nine-tailed," posted on every corner, I did not notice.

Oh, I have a feeling there's a reason for all this. The information leaked out too selectively to the masses. Every dog knows that I am a fox incarnate, but no one seems to know that I am the son of a village hero. It's pretty convenient, huh?

I managed to get four kicks and six slaps on the way to the nearest cafe, and I didn't even count how many times I was pushed, all under the hateful and contemptuous eyes of the villagers. I'm beginning to respect the local mentalists, how many and what kind of tabs had to be poked into Naruto's head, so that after the first such walk through the village he did not let the fox go for a walk, but rather wanted to gain their respect and recognition, and even risked his life because of them.

But I think the tabs are not the only thing here: you can see the subtle psychological processing and attachment to certain people. With him, the saying: "Take everything away from a man, and then return it to the way it was, and he will be grateful to you". After all, if it was not known that he had a demon in him, and he was treated as an ordinary orphan, most people would not pay attention to him at all.

I never got a chance to eat, as I was chased out of all the eateries and cafes. The genius idea of buying groceries and cooking myself failed.

All the stores and shops either refused to sell to me, or overpriced me several times over, and gave me obviously low-quality products. The only store that didn't do that was the Sarutobi clan's, and that was only because it was made on the principle of our supermarkets, with a price on every item, but it had a small assortment.

Rice in bags, custard noodles, milk in bags and canned goods, spices, but no vegetables or meat. I wasn't chased here, they didn't overprice me, they just overcharged me.

The attempt to protest did not bring results, but I learned a lot about myself, and added to the already considerable vocabulary of several very original expressions.

The purchase of utensils and other household necessities went about the same way. Toward the end of the day I began to think about the need to visit the stationery store in order to buy a scroll or a book.

My memory is good, of course, but not perfect, and today alone I have added thirty-seven people to my black list. If this goes on, I might forget someone, and I can't do that. I'll have to go bankrupt on this, too.

- Eh, where could I get a free notebook? - Heaven was silent to my question, but the system answered unexpectedly.

*Request accepted.

*Request processing in progress ...

*Param pampam.

*You got the virtual notepad skill for free to write down the names of your enemies.

Oh, cool, and I also complained about the system, yeah... It's a great system, and if it glitches sometimes, that's okay, at least it's free.

Weird only that no quests are not given today. Well, there: "get food and get a hundred thousand experience" unfortunate no, but so is not bad. Maybe because I have not yet fully understand the settings.....
