Chapter Seventy four

"Guess what" I heard Andrew said from my back, I turned to see him all smiling "what!  "Guess".  "Ummm the school has found the involved". he shook his head and lead me away from the sink, where I have been washing the dishes. 

"Just take your mind out of the trouble for now".  "I don't know what you're up to so spill it out". he reached in and kissed me before raising a card to my face. 

That's drawn to me that he was hiding his hand all this while. "what's that". "Take it, you'll like know what's written there". I took it but kept my gaze in his. "go on reading" he motioned.  "okay, here I go". 

I opened the card, what! I let my eyes scan all the details. "we're going for vacation" "surprise!!  he smiled raising his arms in excitement. 

"This... I looked up at him. "it awesome". "I figured out that it was the best way you take your out of the troubles here, do you like it". "I love it, I laughed reaching you hug him. "Sunny would be madly excited, thanks to Andrew". "you're welcome, he bored making me laugh more. "your mum would be here any minutes" I raised my eyebrows at him. "they're very worried about you, you should meet them". "I know I should but they would bring John issues up". Andrew stare at me with a weird face this was the first time I called him. by his name that was because things has changed. 

"I turned not wanting to see the look on his face anymore. I know this was hurting but it was right I took things this seriously and drive a Message that I would do anything to make sure that my daughter is safe, he brought this on himself I thought before going back to the dishes I left behind.

"mummy where are we going to". Sunny asked me while shifting from one foot you another. "stay still and let me tie the knot on your dress". without heeding my advice she kept doing what she was doing "Let me do it" Andrew appeared at my back, reaching out to help, I stood and allow him to help. "you're giving your mum a tough time" he pulled her cheeks gently making her to giggles. "she loves me to do she won't bother if I do". "really that's what you're saying". I asked trying to keep a mean face. 

"you love me right". "yeah I do" I answered. "Then you'll have to endure a lot of my troubles to prove it". "Are you serious" I looked at her bewildered. and she nodded. "Then what will your uncle do to prove his".  "He already did".  "That's not fair". Andrew laughed kissing her on the forehead. I think your mum has loved me enough he laughed and Sunny ran to me and hugged me. "I know that's why you're the best mum ever". "thanks baby". I bent down and hugged her too.

just then there was a knock downstairs. "That should be your grandma," I told her. "yay!! grandma is here" she smiled happily. "I get it". Andrew said going downstairs and leaving us both "I turned to see Sunny smiling widely. "she'll bring a lot of chocolate for me" she twirled happily.

"Sunny, I called and Watched her stop to stare at me. I looked at knowing she won't understand much that I was going to tell her now. "how much did you love uncle Andrew"  "um mm I love him so much but not more than you". I nodded smiling. "are you going to marry him". get question threw me off guard and I just stare at her for a while without saying anything. "Why did you ask". "Because that is what two adults usually do when they spend a lot of time together".

  "wow! I muttered. "you take resemble Nancy's parents. "who's Nancy"   "she's my classmate and her parents always come around sometimes to drop or pick her up from school". "That sounds great".  "Do you want that too". she nodded. 

"But that means you'll have a Daddy, a new daddy, and not someone who would want to hurt you". "I want a new daddy mummy" she smiled reaching in your peck me, she was giving me a shock right this her new attitude. "so I'll have a daddy and a mummy".  "yes you have both are you happy". "yes mummy, you don't have to worry". she smiled and hopped off from the room happily.

it was great knowing that she'll be okay with my decision, it was relaxing knowing that she won't be with a stranger or called someone she wasn't comfortable with a daddy" I took a calming breath, I was happy with this.

When I went downstairs, I saw mum carry Sunny down carefully before rushing toward me  "I'm sorry Becca, I'm so sorry".  "You don't have to apologize, you didn't do anything". She shook ahead and withdrew from me  "I feel as If this was all my fault, I let it happen to you".  "Stop mum, I know you're trying your best, you don't have felt guilty for anything it was his fault for saying such a terrible thing"

He's just angry Becca, he loves you". "Mum.don't try to side for him, if he had loved me, he wouldn't ever have wanted to hurt or side for a scum, if he has loved me he wouldn't have gone dad as wanting to disown his daughter".  "I know he did something terrible but it had to be settle, I can't just watch thing fall apart"

"Mum their nothing you could do now, I don't even consider him as my father now, I can't call someone who can't support or stand by me, he doesn't even care about his granddaughter". 

"Please, Becca! Don't make this Decision.  "I didn't make my decision, John did" I looked at the shock on my mom's face. I just wish theirs something I could do but now wasn't the time to be weak or ask forgiveness from the very person who want to take away something precious from me.

"Instead of talking about him, why don't we discuss my marriage" I shove the discussion away because every moment I think or discuss it my heart breaks.
