Let the Experiment Begin!

"There are three main forces that created elements: Omnipresent, Omnipotent, and Omniscient. There was a friendly competition between the three of them, and each of them developed their own style of birthing the elements. For instance, the olphs are much different then us humans. But a thousand years ago they finally decided to stop sharing Zenith and launched the first war. It spanned for almost a hundred years and many races perished. However, in the end Omnipresent ended up winning do you know why?"

Dean shook his head, as did his two new classmates.

"Omnipresent was able to be everywhere, and though he wasn't as powerful, or nearly as smart, he couldn't be defeated. Eventually he created the elements, overtook the others, and the current system developed. Frankly, it's nice to be all knowing, and all powerful. But it's even better to have seen it all. I ask you keep an open mind as we open this class. Because today we will be drawing on something Omniscient created, Charm Summoning."

Ms. Cameron drew a symbol on the board.

"You are able to create creatures, as well as strengthen equipment with charms. In other words, they are both enchantments and calling cards. If you so desire, you can even strengthen a twig into a golden sword. If you are smart enough, omniscient will give you all. He wanted people to be able to make anything they wanted. You just have to learn from what he left."

Elva and Lloyd, his two classmates, nodded.

Elva had on a green dress, and was a little bit short for her age. In fact some of her classmates called her chibi before her growth spurt. Now, however, she was tall enough in KCA to be considered of average height. She worked really hard to get here. Her classmate, on the right side, was a different story.

Lloyd was the son of Bane, the principle, but wouldn't tell anyone that piece of news. He kind of coasted through life, but was talented and passed the test. But today, in the overcrowded room, he just looked around baffled. He figured it would be just him and Elizabeth Cameron. Last year it was only Damen, he heard, and this seemed so unusual. His teacher was known as the Queen apple. She, apparently, was so good at teaching it left an impression.

Well, the famous teacher drew one more symbol on the blackboard and flopped down onto her chair.

"Well, that's all. Turn your text books to page 1 and figure it out." Ms. Cameron reclined back in her chair, and tightly gripped her eyelids together.

'What,' Elva thought and immediately gave her the stank eye. She did not go through hell and high-water tribulations, beg her dad, and stay up all night hiding in libraries from guards to teach herself. It was like she was let into the pearly gates of a sanctuary, and found out that the priest was a mute. What was the point of going to a school if you taught yourself? Elva raised her hand.

"Ms. Cameron, can you please show us the good stuff. This is the advanced class!"

Elizabeth turned her head around. "Little girl, no, this is an honors class. If you want to take the introductory course, it's down the hall. I can see you all have the desire to learn, and it would be a shame if I took that away by preaching up here. If you figure out a charm, then wake me up."

She turned her chair around once more and sat back. She seemed to put her hand up, and curtains of earth started covering up the sky.

Dean and his fellow students were in a grassland on the first floor.

In Kings Castle Academy, seeing how there was a lot of elementalists, the rooms usually were strengthened for one element. This happened to be a first-year earth room. And Elva, not being happy, decided to start a conversation.

"Hi, I'm Elva Tink from High Port. What are your names?"

"Dean Powers from Shell Village. Nice to meet you guys!"

"And you?" Elva pointed

"Lloyd Baroque from Goran Hills. So, how did you guys find your way in…"

Miss Cameron cleared her throat. "And I'm Elizabeth Cameron. Your teacher who dearly needs some rest," she continued, "Now please stop leading the class, Elva. I'm good friends with professor Barris over in beginner's charms, and I don't mind kicking you out."

Elva sighed. "Sorry miss, I really want to learn from you."

Miss Cameron didn't seem to care. Lloyd just pat Elva on the back as she flipped open a familiar book.

However, Dean's stomach started rumbling and caught their attention. It was talking to him. Frankly, it was kind of odd. His teacher had a feeling that he ate a fruit of wisdom. So, she turned around to get a better look.

"Strange, isn't it Dean?"

"'Uhm, yeah, why do I feel like I know this?"

She pointed "There's some blank talisman rolls over on the wall. Give it a try and wake me up if you figure anything out kid."

He nodded, cut out a framework, and wiggled a pen out of a holster on the wall.

He was soon joined by his classmates over on the drawing table.

Elva leaned in as he started drawing. "Do you even know what you're doing, Dean? You're not even holding the pen right."

"I have no idea, Elva. Tell me if this makes sense."

She nodded.

A few minutes passed before Elva butt in again.

"You're kidding right, Dean?"

"I'm pretty sure he has no idea what he's doing, Elva. Just pay attention," Lloyd remarked.

He drew sixty more symbols, and it started glowing like the night sky. When talisman rolls glowed, it usually meant that a summon was being started. Dean, was really lucky to have eaten that fruit from poor Yan who was trying to capture Beat right now. They were currently out fighting chasing after the tilt of the earth. Beat was actually moving just fast enough that it was still sunrise where he was.

Elva leaned in and scratched her head. "You might want to stop now Dean. If you make four more symbols, it will be a second pyramid charm."

"Stop getting in his way, Elva," Lloyd commented.

Dean couldn't hear them, nor could he understand what he was doing. His hand dashed and danced around the page, quite quickly. He was just trying his hardest to figure it out. And then his hand stopped moving, the paper started sizzling a crispy, cringle, and pop type of melody. A summoning began.

Ms. Cameron yawned as her chair spun off the ground. "Well, looks like you picked a good fruit from poor Yan."

The fruit of wisdom contained knowledge, and was meant for olphs to give to their children when they were older. On the day that Yan died he was supposed to lose all his fruit, and his family was supposed to share it to pass on the knowledge. If he knew what Dean had gotten right now, perhaps Beat would already be dead.

A light pillar shot out creating the silhouette of a young girl. More and more essence gathered around her, and Dean could feel a tug on his navel right around his ancient cavity. It was the area in the chest that connected to his meridians, and energy channels. Unfortunately, Dean hadn't even opened the doorway yet, and he was creating a second pyramid summon.

"Ms. Cameron, what's happening to me," Dean fell to his knees, and pulled at the grass.

"It's beyond your level, Dean, hold on for just one moment." Ms. Cameron placed her hands-on Dean's back – while leaning down from a chair – as the light column started to morph into a more feminine shape. A streak of golden hair unrolled down the glowing sides, and a light dress unfurled like a cloth over a table. Her eyes were glued to Dean like a duck that had just imprinted its 'mother'.

She giggled and spun in her beautiful blue dress. She curtsied and smiled with a bright smile.

"Hey, master, what do you want me to prepare for you today? I'm ready to serve you all your favorite foods."

Lloyd and Elva had their mouths agape while Ms. Cameron laughed and floated in the air. She realized instantly what she had done, and tried to swim back to latch onto Dean's back. Unfortunately, she had effused with delight, and poor Dean already turned blue.

"Well, you certainly made quite the summon," Elva commented, "any chance she's a good cook?"

"Sorry, guys, I don't feel so well." Dean covered his stomach, and plopped onto the floor like a fish out of water. It was frankly sort of comparable to what happened when Elizabeth let go.

The summon immediately vanished.

Ms. Cameron immediately dropped down next to him, and checked his heart. She moved aside his blonde, curly locks, and looked over towards Elva, and Lloyd. "Yeah, don't do what he just did. Welcome to advanced class! We get all the freaks here."

She wasn't kidding.

All of a sudden the room they were in started to shake, as Ms. Cameron had Dean in her arms and walked to the backyard. Remember, it wasn't a standard classroom, as she left desks, chairs, and blackboard most student's abhorred. She went back to the testing grounds where all the magic happened before plopping Dean in the river. And as she placed him down, she held out her hand and called upon the earth.

Elva and Lloyd looked on, both had never seen such a site before, an elemental domain bloomed soaking in the water. The trees poked out of the ground, and waisted no time growing up above their heads. Their shadows reached one hundred yards away, and they bloomed a few fruits. Ms. Cameron flew up and plucked one before breaking it in her palm.

"Wow, is this a Fourth Pyramid domain, Miss Cameron?" Elva asked.

"Yup."

"Not bad, Miss Cameron," Lloyd remarked, "You look so young."

She smiled. "Well, I appreciate it Lloyd." She landed by Dean and rubbed his belly with the fruit. The juices from it seemed to seep into his stomach before a small cultivation worm wiggled its way out of the core.

"Unfortunately, I have to give Dean something very precious right now because your teacher forgot to keep her hand down" She sighed.

It was a temporary cultivation worm used to nourish your cavity with essence. It would definitely cause her to regret letting go of him. They took a really long time to rear, and Ms. Cameron only had four left. It wiggled a few times before Elva covered her eyes. "Yuck!"

The cultivation worm fought with the button on Dean's shirt before crawling towards his belly button and diving in. It may have looked disgusting, nearly caused Lloyd to vomit, but it would soon give the boy some much needed essence, but only temporarily. Afterward Ms. Cameron closed her hand and the forest withered.

Dean wiggled a few times before the sun hit his head.

"Dean, don't do that again you hear me?"

He nodded grabbing onto his tummy. "Why does it feel like I ate something?" He looked over at Elva. They both still looked squeamish and turned back over towards Ms. Cameron. She just laughed and pointed to the door.

"Class dismissed. And Elva and Lloyd if you tell Dean's little secret to anyone I'll give you a bad apple do you hear me?"

Elva and Lloyd nodded. They got the hint.

The bell rang a few minutes later.

….

A professor flew down into the hallway and scooped up Dean at the exit leaving Lloyd and Elva scratching their heads. All the laboratories, and high-level classes were up above them. They were only meant for teachers and staff. If you got scooped up, it usually meant something good was about to happen to you. Dean was brought into a small lab, there was no light on the walls, and he felt something strapping around him. It wasn't just a normal 'scoop'. Samuel had taken it upon himself to proceed with the experiment.

"Samuel, what's going on?" Dean flailed like a captive.

No one answered.

Finally, Samuel shined under a bright light with three concoctions, a smile, a flask, and a bubbling beaker, as his eyes shined bright like two suns.

"You'll be missing the rest of your classes today, Dean."

Dean gulped.

"Let the experiment begin!"

What do you think of the story so far? Do you find it entertaining? Also, do you have any guesses as to what the experiment will be? Please comment, and if you can leave me just a single Power Stone. I have no idea what it does when you receive one, but I will be sure to let you all know. That is if you all want to know. Regardless, if you made it up to here thank you so much. New chapter soon!
