Unfallen

A genius fighter with a nasty attitude had fought every day, even though he’d lose some fights he had never once fallen. Even when knocked-out he’d be unconscious standing, and that was how he got the nickname ‘Unfallen’ Suddenly he woke up in a strange bed in a fancy-looking room. His ‘family’ was worried sick for him. The only problem was, he had no clue who these people were.

Chapter 29 - My Aura.

Apparently, it took around 2 months on average for somebody to be able to see their aura.

Maybe because this body had already trained it, I was able to pick it up faster? But... No, that doesn't make sense? Wouldn't I have had it already? Eh, whatever, I don't really need to think about it much.

I headed back to my room and sat down in a meditative position again. I needed to think about how I should picture my aura.

What about a well? Eh... Seems boring...

Irene said hers was a flowery field, it matched her personality I think so at least.

So what matches my personality?

I mean, I quite liked the nickname 'Unfallen' so what about a wall? An unbreakable wall that never falls matches me quite well I think, not to toot my own horn or anything.

After turning the A.C to the coldest setting and taking off my shirt, I closed my eyes and tried to imagine a wall.

Now... How would this work?

I imagined the cold flowing through my body and forming a brick wall.

About half a brick formed, it wasn't detailed at all and was pure green.

This is quite fun...

---

3 months later...

I stretched my arms wide and yawned,

Haah, I feel good today...

In the past three months I've been slowly building more and more bricks. The bricks also started to have a little detail as well. Kendel had taught everyone how to use their aura while training and it felt nice.

I've still been practicing my footwork every day; I'll probably have Irene start teaching me the family swordsmanship soon.

I decided to try and bring up the blue screen, I hadn't looked at it in a while.

Name: Kai Steel

Age: 16

Title: Unfallen

Skills: Last One Standing, Steel Footwork (B)

The (C) went to a (B) I think it means I've gotten better. Everything else has stayed the same though.

I got dressed and headed to class with Ella.

We met up with Olly and we greeted each other.

"Morning Kai! Morning Ella!"

We both waved and nodded our heads simultaneously

"You're both the same as usual, haha!"

After talking to each other for a while, Kendel appeared in his usual spot.

"Good morning class."

Everyone had gotten adjusted to the schedule and no one complained publically.

"Morning!"

"Good morning!"

A lot of students greeted the teacher.

"I'll be teaching everyone footwork today."

"Yes!"

"Finally!"

"We're finally learning the basics!"

"Of course, those who have their own footwork's aren't obligated to learn this one. Though, I think it would be a good idea." He smiled.

The thought did cross my mind, I didn't really know if I should learn his footwork because I had the 'Steel Footwork' but I'll give it a try.

We all lined up in rows and Kendel was standing in front of us about to demonstrate his footwork.

"This is called 'Knight Footwork' it's the basic footwork for knights."

He started to move.

With his first step it felt sophisticated and heavy.

Woah, it looked different than mine...

He continued to move, and it looked like he flowed like water, his movement was fluid.

It seemed like everyone's eyes were glued on him, we all tried to understand his movements, but I could barely understand more than his first two steps.

If I had to fight against that, it would definitely take me quite a lot of hits until I could get used to his movements...

After he finished showing off, he spoke.

"Any questions?"

...What a stupid question...

A lot of students started to speak at once.

---

After a while of answering questions, he started to teach students one by one on how to do the 'Knight Footwork'

Looking to my right I could see Olly and Ella trying to copy his movements.

I closed my eyes and tried to imagine myself in a fight with Kendel.

Shit... I'd lose without a doubt...

Every time I tried to punch him; he'd always dodge.

Wait, what if I used 'Steel Footwork'?

I tried to imagine a fight between us using our respective footworks.

Shit, he was still faster than me. I haven't even seen him actually fight and yet I'd still always lose in my mind. Though, this time I was able to actually get a few hits in.

Maybe if I used aura as well? Eh...

Haah, I'll just try to copy his footwork for now.

---

I couldn't... I kept failing on the first step, although I think I understood how he moved, I couldn't copy that movement.

I decided to watch him as he tried to teach some of the other students to see if I could understand what he did more.

After a few minutes of watching, I still felt lost. I couldn't tell how he was moving like that.

If the steel footwork was for dodging just enough to make a counterattack, then the knight footwork was for looking for openings and holding your opponent in place. They felt completely different but sounded similar.

After he finished giving some explanations to Olly he came over to me, it was my turn.

"Do you need any help, Kai?"

I nodded my head.

There was probably only one way I could understand completely how the knight footwork was like.

"What questions do you have?"

"Please come at me while using the 'Knight Footwork'."

It seemed like Olly and Ella overheard what I said because they looked at me with wide open eyes like I was crazy.
