Unable to stand his jealousy, he punched his hand against the wall repeatedly. He also no longer paid attention to his fingers that had started to bleed.

Unlike Leonard, who was still burning with jealousy, Calista was pouring out her longing for her beloved brother.

"Why did you just visit?"

"I just came back from London, dear. I also met Mr Albert yesterday and he has told me everything."

"Oh."

"Oh, yeah, I have also prepared an apartment for you. The distance between the office and Uncle Beni's house is very far, you must be tired, right?" Calvino offered while gently caressing Calista's cheek.

"So, Did you agree that I work in Mr Albert's company?"

"If I ask you to stop working, will you do it?"

"Mom and dad asked about you."

"They are in Indonesia?"

"In Dubai, dear. They want you to hold the company over there. Daddy is sure Jozh won't be able to find you there,"

Calista's gaze immediately narrowed as if to imply a question 'so, you told daddy?'

Being showered with unusual stares by his beloved sister, Calvino immediately smiled while nodding his head. His fingers stretched out to rub the back of Calista's fingers, which were immediately crushed violently.

"Why are you angry?" Calvino asked.

"Why did you tell daddy? Can't you keep this a secret, huh?"

"Listen, Calista, it would be better for mom and dad to know what really happened because with you working at Mr Albert's company, of course, makes dad wonder. Besides, your life has never been separated from his monitoring, including your closeness to that jerk." Calvino explained.

The grey crystals instantly bloomed perfectly. She couldn't believe what she had just heard.

"Who do you mean by that jerk?"

"Leonard. Was he with you earlier?" Calvino asked by examining Calista's beautiful face looking for honest answers.

Calista nodded.

"How far are you related?" he asked in a sarcastic tone.

"Just as friends. Don't you like me being close to him?"

'Of course, you can be close to any guy, but Leonard... He's not a nice guy. His past is awful, and I don't want him to hurt you.' Calvino thought with his eyes not separated from Calista's beautiful face.

"How close are you to him?"

"Only as a co-worker."

"He's not a good man. Stay away from him!"

"Please, we're only as a co-worker, nothing more than that," Calista emphasized.

Calvino leaned his body forward.

"Listen, Calista, you can lie to me but your body language can't hide how you feel."

"But, Calvin, you're wrong..."

"Watch out if Leonard ever hurts you, then I'll destroy him myself!" Calvino snapped.

Calista immediately shuddered at what her twin brother had just said. Being looked at with a different gaze, of course, made her uncomfortable.

Realising the pain surrounding her beautiful face, Calvino immediately changed the subject.

"Mom and dad will be back to Indonesia next week. Do you want to visit them? If so, I will pick you up myself." Calvino offered.

"I'm not a kid anymore. I can go home alone." Calista replied.

Calvino only responded with a sigh and then started to enjoy the lunch menu. After eating the lunch menu, they relaxed for a while before taking Calista back to the office.

While Calista was sipping her drink, Calvino's phone kept ringing, displaying Lenata's name. Her brow instantly furrowed.

'Why did Lenata contact my brother? And since when did they communicate like this?' Calista thought.

Not wanting to interfere in her beloved brother's personal affair, Calista ignored the call.

"Who's on the phone, sweetie?" Calvino, who came suddenly, of course, made Calista gasp.

"Lenata," Calista replied while handing the phone into Calvino's hand.

He immediately picked up the phone while walking away from there. From his behaviour, she knew that they have a special relationship.

"What are you thinking about, dear?" Calvino asked while rubbing the top of Calista's head. She immediately looked up to look at his beloved brother.

"Thinking of you."

Calvino immediately pointed his index finger at his own chest.

"Me? Why?"

"You should get married."

"Don't think that if I get married, I will stop watching over you, Calista."

"That's not what I mean. You deserve to be happy. How long do you want to spend your youth working and working? It's time for you to think about your future. Don't you want to have a happy little family?"

"Of course I want to, sweetie. All of that will be realised after you find the right man to be with you."

Not wanting to get involved in endless debates, Calista immediately asked Calvino to take her back to the office.

"Don't come home late, I'll wait for you at the apartment."

"But my stuff is still at Uncle Beni's house."

"Everything has been moved to your apartment."

Calista's lips instantly formed a happy smile. Her beloved brother really knew what she needed the most.

"Thanks, bro," Said Calista while giving a peck on her brother's left cheek.

When walking through the lobby, Calista met Matius, who was about to meet outside the office.

Out of great curiosity, Matius showered Calista with various questions. However, Calista felt disgusted. So, without answering, she immediately stepped into the elevator.

"Good afternoon Ms Calista,"

"Good afternoon Sarah. What's up?"

"Mr Leo is already waiting in your room."

"Thanks, Sarah."

When the door opened, a pair of black crystals intently stared at her. His sharp eyes shone with anger and deep disappointment.

"What time is it? You should have been back at the office 15 minutes ago. Is it too much fun to date that you forget your responsibilities, Ms Calista?" Leonard seemed to regulate his emotions that were ready to explode before continuing his words.

"I know you're Kafeel's daughter but that doesn't mean you can do whatever you want."

"This company doesn't belong to you. This company has rules that all employees must obey, including you, Ms Calista," Leonard added.

Not only did his voice sharpen, his gaze sharpened as well. And being stared at like that, of course, made Calista's eyes burn.

"No need to bring my family. I understand my work responsibilities. And for the 15-minute delay, haven't I also sent you a message, Mr Leonard?" Calista replied.

Leonard immediately walked away from Calista's room, not wanting to be burned by the fire of jealousy and being rude. Still, after a few steps, he was stopped by the grip that wrapped his arm.

"Wait!"

"What's wrong? Say it quickly!" Leonard snapped with his back turned. His hands clenched into fists in anger.

However, for a split second, there were no words which made Leonard even more fed up.

Unconsciously, he snapped at Calista.

"Say what you want to say now! If there's nothing, I'll excuse myself."

"I'm sorry," Calista whispered.

"Sorry for what?" Leonard's voice sounded cold and tickled the ears.

"Sorry for leaving you like that, I didn't mean to ignore you."

"We're at the office now. So, just talk about work-related things!"

Finding Calista silent, Leonard immediately turned his body to see Calista's beautiful face, which was already in tears.

He wanted to take her tiny body into a hug. Still, the thought of what happened a few hours ago when she rushed into Calvino's arms had hit his consciousness, especially when she showed longing full of love.

'How happy were you when you met your lover, Calista, until you forgot my existence? Could it be because I'm the only one who thinks our relationship is special?' Leonard thought, locking Calista's gaze.

Leonard's gaze conveyed hatred because this was the first time his pride as an honest man had been shattered.

So far, he has always played with many women's hearts. However, now, he was being played with, being played by Calista Earle Kafeel.
