In the magical lands of Quaris was a folktale that went by alot of names, the most famous one being the tale of the black lizard. The story was about a assassin that went by the name "The Black Lizard". There was a hero who had conquered multiple dungeons and he was well respected in the world due to him giving his earnings to the poor. At some point a noble gave the hero his daughters hand, yet the rightious hero refused as he had no feelings for the girl. The noble was enraged and at some point he got a letter with the stamp of a black lizard, telling him a location to meet. When the noble went there he met a cloaked man, who offered to take out the hero, for a fee ofcourse. The noble complied and soon after that the hero was found dead, missing his eyes.
