Ch.19

I told Thor coldly that his power may be derived from his people's faith in him, but it's shaped by his will and imagination so he needs only open his mind to the endless possibilities. His eyes sparked with power saying he'd remember that. I snorted lightly and grew my claws as the army that remained charged at us. More calmed from beneath the water where the ship was as Thanos climbed out from his dirt nap, enraged.

His weapon had fallen not too far from him and Thor went after him with a bloody vengeance, telling me Thanos was his this time. I didn't comment as I simply killed wave after wave of aliens with my portals and claws. All the while I took in the power of the stones, storing more and more inside my body in the Uru material that made up me now. I went through them one by one, mastering their powers as I killed aliens and taking in evermore.

By the time I finished and Pietro arrived with Vision, the armies were tired and I used all six stones just as Thor killed Thanos, caving in his head with Stormbreaker. I snapped his army into nothingness, both here and any remaining off world. The ground around me became molten rock and magma from the power. I jumped out of it since my suit wasn't affected.

The army was destroyed and that left the cleanup which I didn't volunteer for. I did however master the mind stone which was a headache and a half before taking in a huge shard of it's power like the rest. The stones were put in a case days later and taken with Thor's hammer to the past by Steve who volunteered. I spent my time with my children and apologizing to Natasha and Jean who forgave me almost instantly.

Thor had his new Asgard in a city ship that had massive shields, just off the coast of Norway. His people were brought back including Loki, Heimdall and the warrior's three. I didn't care about all that or even the Avemgers or earth itself, I just cared about those I had with me including Sif. I repaired Mjölnir for Thor and he was so grateful he pawned off Asgard and being the king of his people on me and Sif.

I told him I wasn't Asgardian and didn't have the connection nor power let alone the will to be their king, telling him he should find another more worthy candidate like the Valkyrie, Brunnhilde. He gave me Mjölnir and told me the power and connection was there besides, my son was of Asgard so there was a connection whether I admitted it or not. He then skipped out with his axe and the guardians of the galaxy.

I scowled at him and the people of Asgard under Brunnhilde's words, knelt. I told them to get up, saying I wasn't their rightful king. Brunnhilde said it was by the last king's words that I be their new king so whether I agree or not I am their king and Asgard needed one. I sighed and hung my head as Natasha told me I already had a harem so it was fitting.

I scowled at her and told Brunnhilde to get them to gather on the city ship with all their things because when I returned we'd leave earth. Fury appeared behind me and asked why leave. I told him that Norway wouldn't accept Asgard and even if it did and assuming earth could, I was still a mass murderer for all the murderers and rapists I slaughtered over the last five years. He said there was no proof it was me or Barton and no one was left alive to testify.

He shrugged. "As of right now you're a king and foreign diplomat representing thousands of people that were accepted under Norway's government as an independent city of citizens. I made time to speak it over with Norway's king and he along with the prime minister are willing to sell Asgard the rights to the land here and the waters around Asgard as a joint monarchy system. Asgard and it's people belong here and they are free to go if they choose, but the Ten Rings have paid the money. All they ask is that if you do stay, their people are allowed to get to know the gods of old they worshipped and the man who stood against an army to defend their ancestors."

I growled. "Politics."

He shrugged. "Get used to it, your majesty."

I scowled at him again and told Heimdall with Brunnhilde that we were home and soon all that Asgard lost technologically and Bifrost wise would be restored. Fury smiled and I left through a portal saying I'd be back regardless. I returned to where Thanos once destroyed the gems and I killed him. Sighing, I told Fury as he followed me. "The infinity gems were destroyed here and I murdered the original Thanos of our timeline here, burning and shredding his soul into nothing for murdering my children and lovers."

He nodded slowly and I picked up his old glove. "Thanos was right, the only thing that can destroy the infinity stones is the infinity stones themselves. I felt their power when I used them…twice. It was immeasurable and the only reason it didn't hurt me was because I took their powers into myself."

I turned to Fury himself. "Uru has the power to store power and become immeasurably stronger the more power that's applied. The stones can't fight themselves."

My eyes glowed with power and he was genuinely shocked. I grunted. "It was the only way to survive and now I have no use for the power as all my enemies are dead. So-"

I handed him the glove and held my hands over it. The power poured out of me, pulling the stone's power from the universe itself where it was dispersed in equal amounts to all the stored power I poured into them myself, acting like a faucet and channeling them back together. More and more, I pulled them back together as the process became agonizing while the stones formed.

My skin cracked and healed repeatedly all over like my body was fighting falling apart. The pain was beyond any torture I'd gone through including at Kree hands. For the briefest of moments I thought it would drive me insane again or I'd end up like Thanos had at my hands. Still, the gems formed just as I fell to my knees bleeding from my eyes, ears and nose.

Fury barely held the glove long enough to set it down, unable to handle it anymore. I sighed. "It's done. The stones are restored and their power is returned to full and infinite within this reality like it should be."

I healed as I fell on my was and Fury asked what the point was. I sighed. "The point is that I couldn't live with the power inside me and still have children. My lovers would die upon conception of a child born with such immense power in them. As for the stones, their presence will attract the attention of every being in the galaxy who can feel them if used, just like the time stone attracted Dormammu and the like from hell."

I waved a hand and the glove disappeared into my ring. I sighed when it didn't explode and asked Fury. "Unless you'd like to hold onto them?"

He grimaced. "No thanks. I have enough trouble because of all the magical artifacts and alien devices Shield and the Ten Rings have locked away. I don't really need the headache. Besides, I trust you."

I grunted. "Damn, now I have to keep them. Think we can pawn them off on Banner? Or maybe Hills would take them?"

He chuckled and patted my shoulder. "Not a chance."

I huffed and stood up before we left. When we returned to earth, I gathered the parts and remade the destroyer armor, building a vault in Asgard's tower base before depositing all of the items I took from the old vault before Hela could grab the tesseract. The tablet of life and time, the warlock's eye, the eternal flame, the casket of ancient winters and now the destroyer armor completed most of the vault's contents from before Ragnarok.

I set Mjölnir on another pedestal because I had Gungnir with me. I took the space stone off the gauntlet and shrouded Asgard in dark energy and a mystic shield while Heimdall and I worked to remake the Bifrost and all that was lost in Asgard's destruction. Once the Bifrost was rebuilt, the tesseract was returned to the stone form and put back in the gauntlet, in a sealed Uru container box and in my ring.

From there we were able to restore order and peace to the seven realms still under Asgard's protection using the Bifrost and our army. The Ten Rings helped and soon the Ten Rings themselves reinforced Shield, built up Sword and changed their name as Sword and Shield. Fury passed me the rings back saying he no longer needed them thanks to the upgraded Extremis and the weapons technology is brought back from Sakaar with all the ship parts.

I'd pretty much emptied out that entire planet of useful junk and raw materials. He had chi, magic, the latest suits and the best technology across the stars including Asgard teachers to help earth progress. I spent the next two years building and changing Asgard's councils and changing it to a democratic monarchy. As the king I was very much like the president of the United States only my position was lifelong and inherited by my appointed successor.

Sif and I married for political reasons and Kratos was set as the prince, but until he proves himself capable, Heimdall accepted being my successor. I protected Asgard and her interests, getting us in the UN next to Henry, the king of Norway. We were legitimized when I killed the celestial that was nearly born on earth which would've wiped out all life on it.

Some of the Eternals fought and died against me before I faced the celestials and told them to take the Eternals and leave earth alone or perish. Arishem the judge asked what made me confident and I told him I wielded and mastered all six infinity stones before calling Gungnir into my hand. I did a spell and grew to nearly his size and told him coldly. "I may not be able to kill you all, but I can kill most of you. Is one planet worth your time when there are galaxies of them? Are you willing to die just to spite me? What could you possibly gain from a war?"

He looked me over and threw a punch which I growled and threw my own as massive anti metal claws entered his knuckles in a sonic boom of a bang. I backed up a step, but his arm was fucked which made them hesitate when they saw a second pair of claws come out as I removed my hand from his. The others fired cosmic energy at me and I opened a portal, making the energy slam into them.

I put Gungnir at Arishem's throat and when the celestials recovered, they realized I wasn't going to go down quick or wash and I meant what I said about a war being fruitless. I told them they could take their dead and leave or we could see who survives a war between us. They simply took the Eternals dead and alive with the long dead Deviants before leaving the dead celestials, both of them.
