44 Chapter 44: A Preventable Massacre

The leaves themselves almost seemed to wither as they danced at the sudden wail that blanketed them; their once-proud blades that pointed to the skies, now facing the ground beneath them almost as if scared to face the world around them.

It wasn't only them, of course. After all, Zero's howls were not intended for the innocence of nature, but rather for the creatures of violence that stood on it.
