2 Ep 2: Meeting with Human

While Max is busy hunting monsters he didn't notice that slightly different soul is moving towards his way. This soul was red and wasn't upside down heart shaped but like normal heart shaped.

Max POV

Well I killed like 5 Froggit and 3 Whimsum and 1 One eyed monster but I still didn't level up yet. Hmm… I guess I need to kill more mobs? Kill 10 more mobs and if it doesn't make me level up then I guess go to other places? Or other kind of mobs?

*Max soon found another Froggit and Froggit was about run away from him. Max lifted his knife and Froggit jumped as much far as possible. When Max slashed Froggit was already out of his range of 10 m. Well it was about 12 meters away from him. But it was hit by him and died. Max was little surprised and soon noticed detail that he was ignoring whole time. It was his hack. His hack has (4) number on next to them. Which is same number as his own level. He checked [The Crit-Hit] hack of his.

[The Crit-Hit: Every attack will hit enemies with 100% rate and will have 100% crit chance. Crit will have +130% damage. Range: 40 m]

My range crit hit range limit increase into 40 meters?! Why did it even get increased! Wait I forget that my hacks will become strong with my level. System said that to me not long ago. I am pretty dump aren't I?

Well… I also didn't hear level up notice. And I checked [Quest] and I didn't have any quests.

*Max look around himself and he found that path front of him is splitting. And start wondering which way will he choose…

Max: "Which way will make me bring to human…"

???: "Maybe you don't have to choice. Because human will found you herself."

Hmm? I guess I don't need to search where my target is. And looks like human is girl.

*Max turn his head where voice from and saw girl with blue shirt with pink strips.

Her skin is little bit yellowish but also white? Guess something like pale-yellow? She has dark brown hair that is with bob cut. Is it what that hair style called right? Anyway she looks like about 17-18 years old. Not much younger than me I guess. And why the hell she closing her eyes and don't open it?

Human: "Hi! I'm Frisk! I heard monster scream and come here and I didn't expect to meet another human." *She give Max her hand for handshake.

*Max look at her few seconds then stretch his arm to take her handshake. Well which wasn't his intention. And it wasn't Frisk is intention too. Both slashed at each other same time with knife. But there was of course difference. Firstly Frisk doesn't have real knife it is toy knife and her attack range wasn't more than 1 meter at most. But Max is more than 10 meters so he dodged without worry of missing his hit and their damage difference was big one too. Frisk was just doing pacifist run so her L.O.V.E is much little than Max is.

Frisk: "Ahh!" *she hold her slashed arm while stepping back.

Max: "Strange. With my damage it was supposed to be one hit kill. Defense is really strange stats isn't it? Your defense is higher than that flower only 5 points and even so damage reduced so much." *While muttering this Max take few step back too.

She isn't alone? Strange but I can't see any other person than her. Even my hack can't detect anything abnormal.

Max: "Strange with your stats it was supposed to be one hit kill. But you still didn't die. How? Is it something to do with your soul trait?"

*What Max got in answer was silence which wasn't answer he wanted. So he unequipped his knife then take boxing stance. To say truth he doesn't know anything about boxing. He just copied this stance because it was only stance he can do without any major flaws.

She doesn't tell me anything there is two chance that is she doesn't know anything or she just doesn't say to me. I guess she know basic rules of fighting. Then I just need to learn myself. This time I just use fist and if she can survive from this.

*Frisk took out candy from her pocket and eat it front of Max which little confused Max. Soon he saw Frisk is injury healing speed that visible eyes. Which surprised Max but he soon calmed down.

I guess this is pretty much like a game mechanism. As long she eat something she will heal. Maybe it has same effect on me to. I need to try this later too. But first let's check her HP.

That small candy healed already 50% of her HP. Well now I am pretty sure she can take hit from me.

*Max punched towards which looks like punching empty air. Seeing this Frisk was little confused and was alarmed. Because she was pretty sure Max is attack didn't reach her last time but she still hit. And just like her though extreme force hit her in her stomach.

Really strange. This defense stats didn't make sense. Knife wasn't supposed to reduce my damage that much. I was pretty sure that she was supposed to hurt really badly. At least only 1 HP was supposed to left.

*Frisk kneel down ground and looked at Max while trembling little bit. Max now equipped his knife and walking towards Frisk.

So if I think about effect of defense till now and how it worked till now then with my defense her attack can't hurt me much. But I still need to confirm that.

Frisk POV

What the hell was that!!! He clearly punched air but it still hurt me! Is it his soul magic?! Oh shit! She is now walking towards me with knife! What I do! What I do! What Am I Gonna Do!!!

Chara: "Shut up Frisk! And Calm Down!"

*Chara is phantom appeared beside her and stretched her hand placed on Frisk arm that holding knife.

Chara: "Now we will finish him with one attack okay. Use all your MP into toy knife and slash it with surprise. Did you understand!"

Okay! We will kill him with one attack.

*Max was slowly getting close to Frisk like Grim Reaper walking towards her. Frisk feels like everything slowed down video. It was like her first death. Which was against Undyne. It was very scary too though like now. She took deep breath and calmed her heart that was beating like crazy.

Don't worry Frisk! It will be done in one attack! He doesn't even know what strikes him!

*Once Max get in range of 1 meter Frisk slashed with all her strength. Which was glowing with bright red because her magic. It was one of determination is power [Power-Up] which is storing determination into one thing and release it all her strength. From how much determination she stored it is effect will be different. Frisk was thinking it will kill Max and she will hear her L.O.V.E is increasing but next thing that sounded wasn't what she thought.
