Under the Veil of Night

In the City of Crime, one law stands above them all: Only the strongest can live. Fighting is normal, extortion is common, and death is inevitable. Born into a wealthy family yet forced to live in poverty, Kanae Nali vowed to become strong enough to take back what rightfully belonged to her—even if it meant that she had to face the consequences and brave the dangers lurking in every corner. Yet on the outside, just like her mysterious peers, she was no different from the other high school students living their lives to the fullest. “Under the ray of light, my ability will only make me die faster. Under the veil of night, my ability allows me to survive longer.” ____ Story set in fictional city. Any similarities with real world's event is purely coincidence. Another Battle Against Ferdinand

As the car stopped not far from Ferdinand, the man merely glanced with indifference. With the strength that he held, there was barely anything he felt afraid of. The two of them had lost against him in the past. There was nothing hard with him beating them once more.

Stepping out of the car, Kevin looked at Ferdinand coldly. "You're really alive, Ferdinand."

"I'm not going to lose against brats like you two," Ferdinand replied. He stood up nonchalantly, clearly not putting the two of them in his eyes. In his opinion he was placed far above the two of them.

Kanae alighted from the car. Her hand had prepared the small sword that she always brought everywhere. "This time, we won't lose against you, Ferdinand."

"We shall see about that."
