Being Set Up
Selena got up, grabbed her purse and followed the woman through the hallway until the chancellor’s office.
All the way, she tried to think what could be the reason why the chancellor wanted to see her. But nothing came to her mind.
In all those years at college, she had never been to his office before. She was always an excellent student.
“Can you tell me why he wants to see me, Mrs. Brown?” Selena asked the woman in front of her.
She was taking the lead and wasn’t a very chatty woman. Selena was starting to get nervous as they approached the final destination.
And until that moment she could never believe what was going to happen next.
If she had to guess, she would never, in a million years, think that was the reason she was there.
Mrs. Brown knocked on the wooden door and Selena heard a man’s voice coming from the other side.
“Come in.”
His secretary opened the door and pushed Selena inside. Selena heard the noise of the door closing behind her.
