“You see, this is what I mean. When things aren’t about you, you run. Any slight criticism or words you get all huffy and close down. Then you run and expect everyone to be there after you’ve calmed down. It’s exhausting.”

I didn’t say anything. I just wanted to get home and lock myself in my room with some nice, smooth music to calm my nerves. So, I just left.18

“You can’t be serious? You know what could happen if we do this. You guys just had a fight. You’ll get past it and things will be fine.” Angel was serious though. He wanted to complete the spell and was determined to make me say yes. I had just arrived home and found Angel locked in my room, listening to smooth music. How on Earth can Carmen not be annoyed with him if he does what I do? I thought. Not that I considered it annoying; I was just using her words.
