“Angel, sweetie, I know you don’t want to think about that, but Mike does have a point, though he could have said it a bit nicer.” Carmen turned to me for a quick second to glare, then turned back at Angel.

“I’ve been beating myself up over that since we met. But I’m falling hard for him. He’s like no one I have ever met.”

“That might be because—” Carmen’s hand went up as I spoke, effectively cutting me off. I guess it would have been an asshole thing to say. Angel did seem broken up about it, and I was only going to make it worse. So, I did something I really didn’t want to, but felt was necessary

“I hooked up with Kevin today. Not all the way, but close.”

Carmen rushed the both of us over to the bed. “I knew it! You need to dish, and you need to dish now.”

“Hell yeah he does,” Angel added, his mood a bit brighter.
