Chapter 16

“Stop, you don’t know if it…he is dangerous.”

“I think I would know my own brother.”

“That isn’t your brother.”

Carmen shook my hand away and walked again towards the bathroom with me creeping slowly behind her. She tried to open the door, but it was locked. She then knocked on the door slightly.

“It’s Carmen, can I come in?”

Click. Carmen turned the knob and gently pushed on the door. She took one look in then slammed the door shut. “Sorry, this is still kind of freaky.” She turned the knob again, opened the door, and walked in slowly with me following close behind.

I couldn’t believe it. There I was, huddled down on the floor wrapped in my favorite green towel, looking down and quite frightened. Without looking up, the clone spoke.

“Is it gone?”
