“Is that good?” I asked with a smile.

“Yup, really good. Hey, what do you say we take the food back to my place and watch a few movies? I’ve also got some wine at home if you still want to have a drink. Plus, I get the feeling Minnie really likes you and might not leave us alone.”

I was nervous about going back to his place, but I nodded in agreement. While I followed Kevin back to his house, I couldn’t help but think about the possible ways I could get out of this. I mean, the spell still needed time to reveal what I needed to know, so maybe I should wait. But then again, just because I was on my way to his place doesn’t mean that anything was going to happen. But I still didn’t know…

All that blustering about didn’t do anything except kill time before getting to Kevin’s, so it was too late to make up an excuse. As I was leaving the car, Kevin signaled for me to wait. I did, and he ran over to my door and opened it for me. My heart melted.
