Chapter 28: New Roommate
Crystals POV
It was Sunday morning so that means I'm going to move into the dorms today. I stood up straight and stretched my very sore muscles. And that's the last of it! I think... I glanced over to my digital alarm clock, 7:30 still pretty early. I scanned my belongings making sure I didn't miss anything. Well, I guess that's all of it, I'll just text mom and tell her I'm moving to the dorms. I got my phone out from my back pocket then dialed my mom's phone number.
Ring! Ring! Ring!
Oh! Hi sweetheart! How's everything going?
Hi mom! things going great, I called to tell you that I'll be moving out of the condo.
Oh yes, your headmaster called me earlier and informed me of your moving to the dorms.
Wait, you're not going to ask why?
Well, I completely trust that you have things under control there, plus you will be safer there on campus. So I think it's best that you just go and move into the dorms.
But what if something bad happens because I moved.
Christy, I know you. You'll be just fine and if you do want to return to the condo then I'll have a talk with your headmaster about it. Does that sound good?
Yes mom, thank you so much!
Okay, I have to go now, sweetheart. I still have lots of things to do, call me okay?
Okay, mom, I love you
Love you too.
I hung up the phone then slipped it back into my back pocket. Welp, I guess we're really doing this, I just hope I won't have a stuck-up brat as my new roommate. And with that, I grabbed my two purple suitcases, my backpack, and my keys before leaving the condo and towards the school.

"Alright! And we are here!" Keene said as we both stood in front of the dorms.
"You excited to move in Crystal?" I took a good look at the whole building as my eyes wandered to the several windows on the side of the building.
"As excited as I'll ever be," I said with a hint of sarcasm in my voice. It's not that I hate moving into the dorms it's just that I hate being around people.
"come on we can't keep your roommate waiting," Keene said before leading me through the halls of the dormitory doors on every side, it was quiet just how I like it. But the thing I was more curious about is who's my new roommate? After a few minutes of comfortable silence and passing multiple doors Keene abruptly stopped in from of a door.
KNOCK KNOCK!
A faint "come in" was heard from the other side of the door as Keene slowly opened the wooden door to reveal a familiar pink-haired girl. "Alright! Crystal this is your new dorm make yourself at home and Remi is your roommate from now on!" I let out a sigh of relief as the blonde guy said those words. Thank the heavens my roommate is someone I know!
Before I could set down my things I felt a pair of petite arms wrap around my shoulders like there's no tomorrow. "Crystal! So you're my new roommate? We're going to be the best roommates! " I girl said with a smile on her face a small smile made it to my face.
"Oh! I see you two already know each other? Well, I guess I'll be on my way then. Remi can you please show Crystal to her room? " Keen turned to Remi as she gave him a nod.
"Of course! follow me, Crystal." I muttered a thank you to Keene before he closed the door and left while I followed close behind her and into a different room with my luggage bags in my hand. I set down my things before quietly examining the looks of my new room. It looked rather plain not that I expected anything fancy, it is a dorm afterall. There was a closet, a bedside table, a desk, a small bed in the center of the room, and a lot of room for other things.
"Welcome to your new room! I'll leave you here to unpack your stuff in the meantime. And if you need me I'll just be in my room! " I nodded my head and waved my hand as she slowly left my room, leaving me alone with me and my stuff. I guess I better start unpacking then, and with that, I started placing my stuff in the closet and added some color to the room by sticking my favorite anime posters on the wall beside my bed.

I let out a sigh of relief before slumping down onto my bed and stared at the room. Finally, I'm finished! I might as well stay here and sleep for the rest of the day. I grabbed the nearest pillow I could grab and cuddled it up to my chest before I slowly began to doze off into dreamland.

I jolted up from my bed and snapped my head towards the doorway to see a familiar Royal leaning against it. "Come on Crystal! We're going to be late if you don't get up now! " The girl stated as I ran my fingers through my hair. I let out an exhausted groan and plopped down back on my bed, "Five more minutes..." That is all I managed to mutter before getting ready to go back to sleep.
"Oh no, you don't! Come on we might both get into detention at this point if you don't get up!" The girl shouted as she tugged my blanket off of me. "Okay I'm up I'm up!" I said with a tired tone as the pink-haired girl grinned.
"I'll wait for you by the door," She said before leaving my room. I lazily stood up from my bed and made my way to the bathroom and got ready not like I had any other choice that is.
15 minutes later...
"Okay I'm ready, let's go" After locking our dorm we began walking towards the school. As we got closer and closer to the school entrance I suddenly remembered about John having a new roommate as well.
"I wonder who John's new roommate is?" I whispered to myself as I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Wait John got a new roommate too?" The pink-haired royal said surprised. I turned to her as we entered the building and walked through the halls. "Wait what did you mean by "too"
"Well, yesterday Blyke said he got a new roommate too, so maybe John is Blyke's new roommate?"
"Yeah probably. Oh yeah, I saw you put up some posters last week with Blyke, what was that all about?" I said changing the topic. The girl nodded her head as looked down towards the floor.
"Oh that, well It's just...Ember has been attacking more and more lately and I can't just stand around and do nothing while the authorities "handle it" I noticed her clutch her fist as she spoke about them. I let out a sigh and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"It's not a bad idea, the posters I mean. But unfortunately, not everyone feels the same way" I said as we stopped in front of our lockers.
"Yeah tell me about it, yesterday Arlo said I should just stop this and let the authorities deal with it! " My ears then suddenly perked up at the mention of the boy.
"You can tell me all about it later, but first let's go to class," I said to the girl as she ran up to me and gave me a hug which caught me off-guard before hugging her back
"Alright talk to you later Crystal!" The girl said before disappearing into the hallway as I went into my own classroom.
LUNCHTIME!!
As I got my tray of food and got ready to go up to the roof to join Sera and John, a familiar group of friends caught my eye. Remi Blyke and Isen were all sitting at a table looking at me as Remi waved me over to their table. I was hesitant but went over to them anyway.
"Hey Crystal! Here you can sit with us if you want to" Remi said patting a seat next to her. "But I was just about to... you know what never mind " They can have some alone time up there today I thought before taking a seat between Isen and Remi.
They chit-chatted with one another while I sat there watching them while I eat some of my hash browns, it was like that until Remi mentioned Asslo, all of my memories from last week came rushing back to me like a big wave. I quickly looked away from them and hid my face with my hash browns hoping they wouldn't notice the slight blush on my face, but it all went in vain when all of a sudden Remi grabbed my hash brown with a smirk on her face.
"See! Just look at her face! I told you she likes him!" I pink-haired girl screamed at Isen as his face turned into an o and smirked with her. I grabbed my cup of water before bringing it up to my face and pretending to drink it.
"I mean I knew Arlo was acting strange when I mentioned Crystal," She said as she snapped her fingers making me choke a little from the water. And now I was faced to face with Remi and Isen grinning with that cheesy look on their faces, even Blyke was smirking at me. I suddenly stood up from my seat, startling the three in the process.
"I-I'm going to the bathroom" I managed to say before walking out of the cafeteria. But even from there, I could faintly hear them coming up with a plan to get us together, making me blush harder. I don't like that Asslo! He's just a jerk that only cares about himself! As I walked through the halls with my arm crossed, from a distance I saw a familiar magenta-haired girl walking ahead of me.
"Hey, Sera!" I shouted out to the girl as she stopped walking and turned around
"Oh hey, Crystal, what's up? " The girl said as I clicked my teeth.
"I just took a breather and away from the trio," I said as I rolled my eyes, Sera furrowed her eyebrows with confusion but quickly understood who I meant by "the trio". As I looked towards the ground like it was the most interesting thing in the world Sera noticed a bit of blush on my cheeks and smirked. I looked up to her and noticed her smirking at me just like the trio earlier.
"What? " I raised my eyebrow at her as she continued smirking at me making me nervous. "Who's the lucky guy?" she said as I looked at her in shock.
"What no! There's no one! Why would you say that? " She just smirked and came closer to me as if she was trying to read my thoughts.
"It's Asslo isn't it? " She said with a monotone voice as I looked away from her making sure she couldn't see my face.
"What!? Who?! Him?! Hahaha, don't be serious Sera, as if I would like someone like him! " She let out a sigh.
"I know he can be such an Asshole all the time but who knows? If you need love advice ask Remi" I turned to her with wide eyes as she just stared at me with a smile on her face.
"Wait..wait! how did you think of Arlo of all people?" I asked her titling my head as Sera just leaned against the wall.
"Well, Remi kept talking about how she planned on getting you too together and-" She said right before the bell rang signaling lunch is over.
"Well, I gotta go, see you later Sera! " I said quickly before speeding down the hallway and over to my next class, considering it was all the way across the building, but was that the only reason?
