15 Malice Existence (1)

Lily reached the scrawny kid, who had a look of someone resigned to his unfortunate fate. He was beyond scared, but underneath that fear, was acceptance for his current situation. He boldly looked straight into the demon's eyes.

What he saw was nothing, but the never ending abyss. The demon's eyes looked to be consumed by darkness, and the scrawny kid felt those eyes would never be tainted by the light. His body stopped trembling, and a weary smile crossed his lips.

Lily sensed the fear coming from the kid dissipate. She froze for a moment, then using her enhanced ears, she heard the pounding heart of the scrawny kid, slowly come to a stop. "This isn't how it was supposed to go!" She said with a nonchalant tone, her voice rough.

The scrawny kid, was surprised by the childishness hidden within the scary voice, he chuckled, but it was short lived, when a blow to the neck separated his head from his body. Lily had picked up on his chuckle, and thought it to be mocking her, so she struck him with a kick to shut him up.

The headless corpse fell to ground with a thud, while the head, had smashed against a tree, and was barely recognisable. Tiny crimson energy particles came out from the scrawny kid's heart and entered her body, just like the last two thugs energy, and her father's energy particles, yesterday.

She could feel this energy she has thus far collected wasn't anywhere near enough to advance her to the next rank. So she mostly didn't pay mind to it. She crouched down before the body, and using her sharpened nails, she expertly removed the heart from the body, and consumed.

Just like her father's, it tasted really good. Even though the blood tasted just as sweet, what her undead body seemed to crave was only the heart of her victims. She stood up and went to the man who she had killed first, and took his heart out.

To her surprise when she consumed it. It tasted better than that of the scrawny kid, and made her theorise that the more darkness a person possess within the depths of their own heart the more salivating their hearts will taste, when she eats them.

After finish eating the heart of the first thug, she went to the next thug, she had killed. She had already made a decision not to consume the heart of the last thug, the one who had puked, the thought of eating his heart disgusted her, and almost made her lose her appetite.

While halfway finishing the second thug's heart, she suddenly froze, and involuntarily gulped down the rest of it. Malice. That's the only word to describe what she sensed behind her. She had never felt such hatred before. Hatred that bore deep within her bones.

Her heart dared not even make a sound. She sensed so clearly, she was already consumed by fear, by what was behind her. She didn't know what or who it was, the only coherent thought, she had was run! Run! RUn! RUN!

Without giving her mind more time to process anything, she hurriedly propelled herself upwards, with all her strength, she had, and she landed on top of a tree that was close by, she then jump on another tree, then another, and another.

She stepped on a thick branch, and used it to propel herself over all the trees. She was far away, that much she could tell. But she could still feel the malice she has left behind. It felt like the malice was was right behind, moving along with her.

When she was overhead all the trees, wings sprouted from her back, tearing her jacket. The wings looked like crimson bones, with shredded blood red draconic flesh. She didn't have time to look back, and admire or be abhorrent of her wings. She needed to fly, as far away as possible from whatever was behind her.

She instinctively knew how to use her wings, so she easily flapped them upwards, and went up, but when she flapped them again, there was a sudden pressure that forced her down. She couldn't resist the force, and tumbled down, with sonic speed.

She hit many branches, without a way to protect herself with her hands. She saw the ground nearing before her eyes, as she was about to fall head first. She fought with the force by using her steel claws, and burrowing them deep into the tree bark.

Her descent down didn't stop, but the force weakened, and taking the opening, she flipped herself so that her head was faces the sky, but in doing so she had nothing else to hold on to, so she crashed to the ground, feet first.

Fissures were created upon impact, before the ground erupted upwards creating a deep crater on the ground. Lily was at the centre of everything, her face morphing to one of rage, as she stared at the malice, that stepped towards her, leisurely taking it's time.

Each step put pressure on Lily's body, creating more fissure under her feet. Her clothes were tearing up, dark blood oozed from her broken bones, that kept trying to mend themselves faster than the pressure could break them.

Lily's expression didn't change from that of rage. Her chest rose up and down, boiling anger, kept babbling inside her. She was pissed off more than she had been with her father. The red mist came out thicker than it has ever been. It was whirling around, matching the grey mist of the thing before her.

The thing jumped inside the crater, and the moment it's feather like feet touched the ground, pressure never felt before came crushing Lily down to her knees, her bones all torn up. She gasped, feeling pain all over. She didn't know intelligent undead could feel pain, which made her reckless, now she was paying for it.

A pool of dark blood surrounded Lily, as she gazed at her enemy. It wasn't anywhere near a human, in terms of looks. In fact, it wasn't anywhere near anything, she has ever seen before. It looked to be made up of the grey mist, it's limbs were long, perhaps 2 metres.

It's head had no face, but Lily got the feeling it was staring straight at her, filling her with goosebumps all over her body 'Hey.. hey.. hey.. what the fuck is this? What kind of ridiculous situation is this? Wasn't I supposed to be in control of my own fate from now on? Then fucking tell me, what the fuck is this?'

Lily questioned, and lamented inside her mind. She had lived all her life being weak. Now she had gained strength not many in her world could dream off, but here she was groveling before a mere mist-like creature, that looked to be mocking her, as it cocked it's head to the side.

Lily looked down, and saw her hands trembling, and when she gave herself time to calm down, she could hear her heart doing summersault, and she realised, she back being the scared little girl, she had been her entire life.

"Ha- haha- hahahahahahaha.... ME SCARED! WHAT KIND OF A LAME JOKE IS THAT? DO YOU HEAR ME YOU DUMP CREATURE? I DON'T FEAR YOU!! I NO LONGER FEAR ANYTHING... DO YOU HEAR ME!!!"

Lily cried out, rage contained within each word, she had said. Her bones began mending themselves faster than the pressure could do anything about it. Lily forced herself to her feet, while staring at the creature, not out of fear, or anger, but the determination to prove, she wasn't the same little girl, she used to be.

When all her bones were mended, and she was now standings tall, before an existence out of this world, two figures materialised from some sort of fractured space, beside Lily.

The figure on Lily's right had a stoic expression her gaze narrowed at the creature before them, the other figure had a playful, almost cheerful expression, also staring at the creature. Lily didn't look at either of them, still maintaining a staring contest with the creature with no eyes.

Though she didn't look at the new comers, she asked with a playful tone "What took you guys so long, to get here?"

"Well... we had something to take care off." Luna replied.

"It seems while disappearing for no more than a few hours, you have already made yourself a friend.. Mm?" Aurora added.

"More like a rabid dog, that needs to be put down." Said Lily seething with anger.

"Do you need help?" Luna asked sounding eerily calm before such a creature.

"Of course I do, what would be the point of taming you guys, if I don't use you. Don't tell me, you want your mistress to die?"

"One could hope." Aurora made a snide comment, leading Lily to sigh, dealing with this twins, is proving to be more of task than the creature before her.

"Unworthy little creatures, if your done making this fiend before you wait impatiently. I would think it's time all of you to entertain me with your futile struggles, as I like to play with my food before consuming it..."
