10 Changes..

Lily woke up from an intense nightmare. But didn't have a strong reaction as she normally does. She brought her hand to her head to wipe off the sweat on her forehead due to habit. When she touched her face, she realized there wasn't sweat 'odd' she thought.

She began to notice that her vision made her see clearly in the dark, but with reddish hue, but not as blinding as that of last night.. last night? 'What happened to me?' she thought, with a confused expression on her face.

And with that thought, memories of last night filled her mind, each memory passing through her eyes, as if fleeting. She felt like a passenger in her own body. When each memory had etched in her mind, she felt.. well nothing.

She thought with what she experienced, she would feel anger, hate, joy, sadness or even guilt for what she did to her father, but nothing. She sighed, and got off the bed. She stretched her limbs, and was surprised by how light she felt.

She looked at her bed, and raised an eyebrow to a fist size hole were she had placed her right hand, when she was getting off the bed. She hadn't felt anything 'oh right, the supernatural strength I got from... Where did I get it from again? Ahh yes.. those mysterious people, who had followed me.'

Lily walked out of her bedroom, and was thrusted at the living room and kitchen. She glanced towards the couch, and saw that it was sat by two of the most beautiful women she has ever laid eyes on. Her heart increased it's pace the longer she continued to stare at them 'what's wrong with me?' She questioned herself.

It felt odd since she was sure she had no heart beat at all. She started to think perhaps, she was having a panic attack. She ran to the bathroom, passing her father's corpse encased in ice, thinking nothing of it, she gently closed the door behind her, mindful of her enhanced strength.

She went to the mirror and stared at herself, and was a little shocked by her appearance. Then that shock turned to revulsion and denial "No.. no.. no.. no.. no! What happened to my beautiful face?" She loudly exclaimed, she knew it was an overreaction of her new look and a rather beautiful one from her previous average look, but to her..

Her average face represented who she is, and what she went through, this change wasn't pleasing to her. It felt like she was getting a pass, some kind of reward for what she did to her father by taking away any resemblance they shared.

She might not have felt anything about killing him, but that didn't mean, she wanted his death to mean nothing. She had thought maybe his eyes she got from him, was a fitting punishment for what she did. Now it was all taken away and it now means nothing.

She knew that her father deserved more than what he got after years of emotional, mental and physical abuse, by making her feel worthless, otherwise she would have long ran away from home without trying to save up money.

But because of that man, she lost all the self respect she once had, if she ever had any. Her life revolved around him, because he made her feel that way. But even after all that a punishment would mean something, especially as of now, as she is impassive to his death.

What was the point of killing him if at the end of the day it didn't matter? If she can't feel joy for his death at least she should feel pain, guilt or something that made it matter. 'I should just calm down, what's done has been done, it doesn't matter anymore.. it doesn't matt-'

She stopped her thought process and just stared at her knew appearance. She figured she should just focus on her current self, as a way to distract from herself from the distress. She couldn't give her father anymore satisfaction even when dead.

'Well let's see, the most glaring change is my skin, it looks like I have been bathing in milk since birth to the point of being this unnaturally pale, then being paired with this eerily looking crimson irises with black sclera instead of white... Very unsettling..'

She sighed at this changes, but continued to assess herself 'My hair is also blood red, and long, reaching all the way to my waist, and is tinged with a black colour at the ends, well at least I have some of my previous self, no matter how small they are."

She grasped the sink on both sides, and squeezed a little too tight, and it broke on her hands. She pulled her hands to herself. Annoyed she thought. 'great now I have to learn how control this new strength, before I accidentally destroy everything in this apartment.'

Assessing herself further, she noticed she was now taller, her chest bigger, but she didn't feel it's weight. Now it was time to look at her status 'with all this weird things happening, I nearly forgot.' she thought.

She was hesitant to check, not knowing if she was ready to see what she truly was, because she didn't forget that she died last night and clearly remembered the intense emotions she felt at the end of her life... fear, coldness, loneliness and emptiness. She never wants to feel that way again. Gathering herself, she thought 'status'

Name - Lily

Age - 21 year old

Lifespan - infinite

Race - Undead (Former Human)

Abilities Rank - [SSS - Grade] > [SSSS - Grade]

Status: Tamer

Ability:

- Death Manipulation

- Tamer

"I shouldn't be surprised by the race, after all I was dead, but my ability rank on the other hand is a bit shocking, and it seems not only are they high graded, but also I seem to have two abilities, yet pre-death I had one... Death manipulation, huh?" She exclaimed to herself.

She focused on her new ability death manipulation, and it should more info about it.

- Death Manipulation [SSS - Graded]: Host is now able to see the strings of life attached to every living being, and can now sever them with little effort thus killing them. Not only that if host wants, host can take control over other living life forms through their strings of life, essentially literally holding their lives in her hands and puppeteering them.

'This ability not only gives me the power to hold other people's lives literally on my hands, but I can also use to puppeteer the people's lives as mere puppets. What a messed up ability, but I like it.

It also seems I have innate abilities, thanks to my new race. I should check how to use them later. All my life I wanted to be strong in order to make something of myself, perhaps protect those who could not protect themselves, as I never wanted others to be as miserable as I was.

But now look, I have just became overpowered overnight, and I don't give two shits about saving others, then what's the point of my existence if not to serve the weak?' Lily thought while questioning herself about the new her.

'It's not the time for existential crisis. I will perhaps begin thinking about my future when I'm through with formally introducing myself to my guests at the living room, and where I go from there is anyone's guess... But before any of that, I should take a shower, I'm still covered in blood.'
