Unbound Familiar

An avid gamer nerd's dreams come true in another brutal yet lucky? fashion. Follow him as he does his best not to die in laughably humiliating ways, all while trying to escape his abrupt and unwanted servitude. Will his knowledge of the world he finds himself help him succeed? Will he return home? Will evolve past his title of 'Dog'? Read and find out! This will be another multiversal world-hopping story, similar to my other one, EBW. I'll not spoil the surprise of the first world, but Skyrim will eventually be involved... And no, I'll not be adhering to plot, instead destroying it and hopefully not butchering the original story in the process. Pantheon

"Now that I've got you all here, let's go over my plan before one of you fucks it up, alright?" Michael states while taking a seated crossed-leg position in the air. "I want to form a pantheon of gods, one that includes us and the local 'Divines' that rule the current world I inhabit.

Zeus quirks a furry white brow at him, "Why? Are you not strong enough to rule them all with an iron grip? Or do you lack the required will to bring such a thing to fruition? Hmph, your youth is showing, bo-"

*Smack!*

With Zeus face-planted into the floor again, Michael turns to the others. "Any questions?"

*Squuaaaaaak!*

...

Michael picks his ear and sighs, even with his various language comprehension abilities, Phoenix is simply too difficult to understand. To his divine senses, it sounded like a dozen supernovas occurring all at once... And physically, well, he just sounded like an angry chicken.

Shaking his head, he conjures an etching pen and a few slabs of solid stone, all heavily enchanted to be fire-resistant. "Write. None of us can understand a thing you're trying to say."

...

*Squawk." the bird lets out an indignant noise before hopping over and getting to work inscribing its words into stone.

"What about you?" he asks, turning to Outworld Destroyer, "From what I know, you'd be the least receptive to this out of everyone here."

"The Outworlds are gone, there is nothing to return to. I will observe this world and judge what actions will be necessary, your scheme suits my intentions." the strange stone-creature states, seemingly unperturbed by the situation.

*Squawk!*

Phoenix holds up the stone slab towards them, "Indubitably! As long as I am granted adequate room to create my stars, this arrangement of yours sparks me as rather refreshing!"

...

Michael squints his eyes at the slap and scratches the side of his face, wondering if he was seeing things or not. "Ah, thanks for your confidence, Phoenix..."

*SHIIIEEEEEEEEE!*

...

Zeus pulls his head from the ground and brushes off the leftover dirt in his hair, "Why should I agree to this? Are you not aware? I am the King of the Gods! If I do not rule the pantheon, it is below me in all regards!"

"Then you serve no purpose. I'll shove you back into your miniature world and rule reality with just these two instead." he states, conjuring the Book of Realities into his hand, the thing looking starkly different from its form in the God-Tier.

Energies of every kind circled it, and the material comprising its core seemed both impossible and possible to the naked eye. The pages themselves seemed to be made from woven fibres of gold and gemstone, appearing white from afar but majestically complicated up close.

"H-hold on there, I think I misspoke! I meant to agree but my words got away from me!" Zeus chuckles awkwardly, "What I meant to say was, as a former King of a Godly pantheon, my advise would serve thee well!"

...

"That's what I thought." he claps the book closed and allows it to vanish from existence. "Let's go meet our friends then, shall we?" he states, opening up a Dimension Gate to Aetherius. The formless realm bent and twisted into something a regular mortal could comprehend at Michael's whim, wishing to discuss this like mortals instead of amorphous godly beings.

The other beings in Aetherius couldn't reject his will either, his powers as Fundamental Force trumping whatever strength they could muster up at a moment's notice.

"DIVINES! I HAVE COME TO BARGAIN!" he shouts, his voice echoing from every point in Aetherius simultaneously.

...

After half a minute, they come. Eight specks of golden light manifested before the group before twisting into shapes mortals in Nirn would expect.

Arkay, God of Life and Death, along with the cycles that intertwine them.

Dibella, Goddess of Beauty and Love.

Julianos, God of Wisdom and Logic.

Kynareth, Goddess of the Elements.

Mara Goddess of Love and compassion.

Stendarr God of Compassion, Mercy, Justice, Charity, and Luck.

Talos, God of Mankind, Might, Honor, State, and Law, the mortal who ascended.

Zenithar God of Work and Commerce.

"Hmm? Are you this is them?" Zeus questions, "It's a sorry lot."

Michael ignores him and quirks a brow at them, "You're missing someone."

Mara, the kindly-looking woman who radiated the wish to hug her steps forwards, "My husband is unable to accept your invitation, though I do carry a message..."

"Let's hear it then?"

"Slayer of my children, you have dealt the world a vicious blow with your mere existence, the flow of time trembles with your every step. Your ascension to Godhood has marked a cataclysmic interruption of the flow of fate, you may negotiate with my fellows, but I will always reject you. Your theft of time and fate will lead everything to nought." Mara recites from the golden scroll she's holding, allowing it to dissipate afterwards.

"... Okay? Since the lizard refused to turn up, who here feels the same? Which of you will refuse to work with me?" Michael questions as he brushes his gaze past each of them.

Talos in his shining gold armour rests a hand on the sword at his side, "Aye, I agree with Akatosh. Men should rule themselves with guidelines to strive for, you have no place amongst them." he states.

"Hah! I don't know anything of your world, but I can already tell it's got its foot in the door to the void! Let me guess, your precious mortals are warring against one another for pathetic, insignificant reasons?" Zeus smugly asks with folded arms.

"No, that shit stopped as soon as I killed Surtr and Azura. Only the bravest or craziest people dare to challenge me on this." Michael explains.

"But before that?"

He shrugs, "Yeah, it was a hellhole of constant wars, racial divides, the regular things."

Zeus looks to the eight Aedra present, "See what your actions, or inaction causes? Are you proud? Proud of all the 'innocents' you've indirectly slaughtered? All of your followers that begged you to save them while you just sat and watched?"
