Unbound Familiar

An avid gamer nerd's dreams come true in another brutal yet lucky? fashion. Follow him as he does his best not to die in laughably humiliating ways, all while trying to escape his abrupt and unwanted servitude. Will his knowledge of the world he finds himself help him succeed? Will he return home? Will evolve past his title of 'Dog'? Read and find out! This will be another multiversal world-hopping story, similar to my other one, EBW. I'll not spoil the surprise of the first world, but Skyrim will eventually be involved... And no, I'll not be adhering to plot, instead destroying it and hopefully not butchering the original story in the process. Momentary Farewells

Michael, Charlotte, Tiffania, Illococoo, and Maria were all gathered at the gate of Falkreath, the latter of which already sitting in the back of the carriage the Jarl had provided. Each now wore thick robes and pelts to protect against the Skyrim weather, now properly prepared in contrast to how things were when they first came to this world.

There was a small gathering of people here to see them off as well, Nenya, Valdr, Ari, Niels, Valga, Narri, Zaria, etc. They took some seconds out of their day to see them off. Michael gratefully thanked them all for their help, telling them to contact him should they need him for anything. He was truthful too, he'd come to like this group of wilderness townies, so if he could help them out he'd do so.

The only person who wasn't present was the Jarl, who probably had better things to attend to right now. He was slightly concerned over Nenya's disappointed look though...

Regardless, Michael gives the group one final wave before flicking the reigns of the two horses in front of the carriage, causing them to start trotting down the road. Thus begins the long ass journey to Riften.

Falkreath Hold isn't all that exciting place to travel through if Michael were honest... An hour of travel? Ooooh, trees!

Two hours? More trees.

Three hours...? A tree, oh, and he did catch a glimpse of a deer!...

Five hours, and Michael was ready to give up, but instead simply sits Illococoo on the coachman's seat and lies in the back of the cart with Tiffania, Charlotte, and Maria. Tiff and Charlotte were both leaning over one another staring at the same Alchemy book, both correcting each other when they misread something. Sometimes they ask Illococoo or Michael to read a word neither knew yet, keeping him somewhat stimulated...

He shakes his head and decides to do something he'd been putting off for a while now... He pulls out the Book of Heroes and glances at his Anti-Mage Spirit, tongue wetting his lips when he lays eyes on the written 'Max Level'...

The jobs he'd done for the Jarl had given him just enough EXP to finally reach it, but he'd been hesitant to actually max it out yet. The main reason being he was unsure which Hero he wanted to pick... Lina or Winter Wyvern? He thought he wanted the latter, but considering where he was, fire magic trumped ice magic. After all, most of his enemies would be weak to fire... Nords, Vampires, Draugr... The only opponent that'd have resistance against it would be the Dragons themselves, but he wasn't anticipating fighting them anytime soon.

The first thing to do would be to claim his items from the roulette wheel... Though, it would look kind of awkward to spin it in front of everyone... Fortunately, it seems like whoever had created the book had thought of this.

The roulette wheel appears before him, this one looking much higher quality than the Commoner ones, it was invisible to the others of course, and without any intervention from him, it starts spinning on its own.

Almost immediately, Michael notices that the items are of higher quality, proving that each Tier raises the quality of things all around, not just heroes. The first item soon comes out, causing a... Cloak, to appear in his inventory. Luckily, it wasn't just a regular one, instead, being the Cloak from Dota 2 which granted 15% magical resistance when worn.

He personally wouldn't wear it, not really needing the relatively small defence. He'd give it to Tiffania or Chalotte, probably Charlotte as Tiffania already had the Circlet he'd gifted her last time. It was an acceptable reward... Now for the other two.

The wheel spins again, this time stopping on... Blades of Attack, a tri-bladed gauntlet that look to mimic claws. They were small enough to be hidden up your sleeves, so maybe he could use them as the characters from assassins creed did? Probably not. Pretty useless item if he were honest.

The wheel spins for the third and last time, and Michael couldn't help but to sit up and stare hard at it, causing the others in the cart to give him a weird look. He ignored them though, his boring a hole into the wheel as he slows to a stop. Blight Stone.

A Blight Stone was an item in Dota that reduced the enemy's armour. It looked like a small glowing red and black orb, and Michael wasn't really sure what to do with it... Not like, not wishing to use its effects... But instead simply having no clue how to actually use the item. How do you attack with an orb in the first place? It was slightly smaller than his fist, so it couldn't be used on the head of a mace... He shakes his head, deciding to figure it out later when the others weren't staring at him.

Continuing to ignore them, he focuses on his next difficult decision... Lina or Winter Wyvern... Both were useful, both having powerful magic that'd no doubt prove useful. But Winter Wyvern would likely be an expert in many magics, if he could convince her to teach him...

But then, while Lina wasn't an ancient magic-using Wyvern, her magic and abilities were more than enough to make the difference. In particular, Michael was eyeing her passive ability Fiery Soul which would boost his attack speed and movement speed whenever he attacked... This would stack with every attack, making him an even bigger monster in melee combat than before.

...

He lets out a sigh, whatever, he'll pick Lina. He already had enough shit to learn here in Skyrim, trying to learn more from Winter Wyvern would be overkill, and probably have him mixing up the magic he was trying to learn in Skyrim. Besides, he could always pick her next if he really wanted to... Of course, there was also the fact that Lina was hotter(Both literally and visually) than Winter Wyvern... At least in his opinion.

Hope you bois liked the chap, if I missed anything please let me know. Thanks!
